Error adding custom device type
I am trying to add a custom device type for a Raritan Dominion KX KVM-over-IP switch. Its System Description OID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2.10. However, I get the following error:
Already a Device Type is present for this OID
I see that device type Linux has the more generic OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.3.2. Is that what's preventing me from adding the more specific device OID? The KVM switch is based on a Linux kernel which is why it shares the same major OID, but shouldn't I be able to add a more specific OID to identify this device over more generic Linux systems?
