Dual Processor showing up as 4 CPUs when monitoring via VMI
I have a Dell Poweredge Dual XEON server running 2003. When I us the CPU Utilization with the monitor type of WMI it shows as if there are 4 CPU's on the detail graph and tables.
It shows CPU0, CPU1, CPU2, CPU3. And each have values... granted many times it is 0, but each one at some point does show values as if it is really tracking utilization.
If I choose CPU Utilization with monitor type of SNMP then it just acts like there is just one.
Why am I seeing the 4? I also see these on several other dual processor units.
Hmmm... I just noticed that single processor units show CPU0 and CPU1 with values when using WMI on 2003 server.
