Windows Events are getting cut off
I have setup a couple Windows 2k3 servers in OpManager 6 and enabled event log rules to monitor many different things. When the event logs come in as an alarm they don't display the full message. I am trying to setup alarms for auditing of our accounting data and it cuts off the user that accessed the directory. Is there a character limitation in OpManager 6 that is cutting this off?

So I have downloaded a trialversion of Aplplicationmanager, installed it and started to create a monitorgroup with monitors. I intend to use it mainly for monitoring MS SQL 2K and 2005 servers. When creating a monitor for MS SQL I am asked to submit a user and a password. It seems a MS SQL user is asked for, since 'sa' is pre-entered for me. However, all our MS SQL Servers are set to Windows Authentication. I see no option to use this, so it looks like this evaluation stops before started... I do

Hi! My System: Win2003 English + SP1 running on a VMWare ESX 3.0, Application Manager 7 Build 7001, 219 Number of Monitors. Problem: After restarting the application manager server, the monitored devices will not go up again, all monitor-groups are at availability and health on red and shows 0,0% uptime, expect the monitor-group "Applications Manager" is ok and green. I have several problems using mibs in opmanager. I've compiled some fujitsu-siemens' mibs but I cannot use them in custom monitor section. After I have selected a mib, opmanager give me the message: Select an Number OID If I select an other mib, it works fine. Do you know if it's in plan to import fujitsu-siemens' mibs in opmanager on next releases? How can I know which mib is for a failure (example scsi hard-disk failure) or for other problems? Is there a standard classification of them? I thank

Good morning , I recently restarted appman and 2 of my monitors will not respond , they are both solaris monitors and I can ping both from the linux level of the monitor machine. However no matter what I do at the appman software level it refuses to beleive the machiens are up. I have personally logged onto both boxes and found they are indeed up. How do i fix this ? Service Creation Script for Linux
I'm fairly new to Manage Engine products and linux. I'm unable to get the default service creation script to work on RHEL 4.x. It appears that many of the links in the script reference incorrect directories. It also looks like there's some problems with the logic of the script. One of the problems I see is the script references the /etc/init.d directory when it's /etc/rc.d/init.d on my system. Another problem I did find was that it appears that it sets the service to run at Run Level 5. My installation
Issue with CatOS login
I have an issue with out Catalyst 6509. Sometimes, CatOS switches will not show the login prompt until a carriage return is sent, so DE thinks the telnet connection if failing. I had this issue with Kiwi CatTools, so they edited the scripts to include a carriage return after the intial connection to port 23. Does DE have any function to work around this, as well?
Unable to delete SLA
Hi Support, I created some SLA's originally, but then used business rules to try and get round the problem with SLA's before the new release, this seems to work fine now. I need to delete the SLA's that I used in testing and recrete some from scratch. When I try and delete the SLA's i get the message FAILURE :SLA is being used by a module. Hence cannot delete it. I have checked all the test contacts and accounts and can't find anything that maybe using this. Is there any way that I can find out where

Hello. I create a template of credentials such as snmp-tftp. When i apply this template to backup alone device - everything ok. But if i want to apply this template to all devices in Inventory List - backup failed. And after this i can't change credentials of each of my devices, because when i try to change it and click to the button Credentials - the page reloads return me to the device list. Only if i remove the device from list and discover it again I can change it credentials for backup. I use

I am testing Netflow Analyser and it seems to be working good. When I try to view details on an interface, it seems that the most current 15 minutes of data are missing. How do i get a view of all of the data. The view parameters are "last hour" and the graph timeline show i.e 12:36 to 1:46 but the graph info stops at about 1:18. Thanks - Chris

Hi, If I use < and > characters in the solution, like this: func(<FIELD1>,<FIELD2>); I'm able to save it, ServiceDesk correctly shows it but if I edit the solution again to correct something the bracket signs and all characters between them disappear.
