My appmanager configured to listen 162 udp port. My device sends traps to this port. I sure, I can see this traps via tcpdump. 1. Should I see this traps on Alerts>Unsolicited Traps page? 2. Is required configure trap listerer to receive any traps? Volodymyr
email notifacations for out of office
hi, is there a fix or a work around for, when i wish to close a call we have it setup so it sends notifactions to the user to tell them that the call has been closed, the only problem is, if the user has an out of foffice on, it send s a message back and re-opens the call, this is very annoyig as well either turn the notifacation off or we have to change the requestor name is there a fix or work around many thanks
Setting Service Monitor Threshold
I notice that in Admin > Resource Monitor and selecting any type from say SNMP or WMI, there is the possibility of globally setting a threshold which is apply to all currently in use and future use of that resource monitor. How ever selecting Service Monitors - this is not possible, have to goto each device that the monitor is in use on and redefine the Service monitor threshold each time. Is this something that is planned to bring in line? I would say that when you do set a threshold from Admin
Custom inventory report showing number of disk drives
I'd like to create a report showing the count of drives per pc for all computers on the system, I need help with the query string (ie what should it be?). What I'm hoping to do is to regularly run the report to see whose using unauthorised USB memory keys on the system.
not able to see Resource monitors for Router
I have added Resource monitors for Router but it is not showing any data. But all the details work well in "solarwinds" and it shows all the "CPU Utilization" and "Memory Utilization" monitor that means my MIB is correct. And OPManager taken Interfaces Configuration details automatically when i add ip of that particular router. Please help. Regards, Trisha
MySQL startup parameters
I notice that MySQL that OpManager installs is setup to use only 8megs of memory for Key buffers and it has nothing at all for Query cache. Is there a reason that OpManager is not using any memory for query cache? Right now I am monitoring the following and I am looking at the optimal settings for MySQL and OpManager. Could we have a link to the new matrix of the database I have an old diagram explaining the relationships between each table with the database but the database has changed and I have not got an updated copy is there a link I could go to to download it as I am getting into the reports functionality and query reports but need a new updated diagram of the database and tables Cheers
Resouse Mnitor is not working
I am given correct UserName/password but still few Resource Monitor is not working for Windows and Linux DMZ Servers. Rest of the Resource Monitors are working perfectly okay. -- Trisha

Time entry (spent on a request) VS date and task
In the Request module of ServiceDesk Plus, it would be nice if we could enter a date when we enter the time spent on a request. Also when we enter the time entry, it would be nice if we could select a task that is associate with the request. Someone else interested in that feature ?

MSSQL Service Monitor down
I am monitoring a number of SQL servers successfullly however for one of the servers the MSSQL server monitor is reported as being down. On this server SNMP is running as is SQL SERVER. I can monitor availability, CPU, Memeory and Disk Utilizations but I cannot work out how to get the Service Monitor working. Has anybody got any ideas please as I am now officially stuck ? hi, can you tell me, if and when you are able to fix the pass thru problem as this is really annoying, is this an issue with tomcat and if so are you planning on developing SD+ to work with IIS, so that it will fully intergrate with active directory. thanks

When opening ServiceDesk from OpManager
If you are looking at a PC in OpManager and you elect to look at the ServiceDesk information from OM, the pop up window shows the information fine. The display is the one that has just the information on that particular device. I went into the inventory tab and the first page appears fine. However, when I selected the second page of inventory details the reduced sized pop up window that you are viewing at that stage was filled with the full view of service desk (whereas the first page wasn't). cannot delete custom report made from default report
Hi I have two custom reports built by running a default report, modifying the criteria and then saving it as another name. I cannot delete either report. Both display an error saying "cannot delete default reports" Any suggestions? Regards Paul

Customizing "Title"
Hi, Is there anyway to customize the word "Title" in the request form? I know this sounds silly, but for whatever reason most of my users are thinking that we're asking for their JOB title, as opposed to a title for the request. I don't need it changed throughout the application, and I'm not opposed to manually editing a file if need be, I just would like it to appear differently on the request form. Thanks, Endaar

Inventory Scan
I have installed your product and must say, nice job. However, my inventory scan is showing two nic cards on a number of pc's and three on one pc. There are not two or three nic cards in these pc's. The inventory is showing a SMC card and the 3COM (which is what is in them). I don't understand where the inventory is reading a second or third nic card from. Any suggestions?

Inventory linking to Product Types and Vendors
SD+ has been used to scan our entire network and has detected all the various desktop PCs. I have entered the Product Types in and associated the relevant Vendors for the various Product Types. However, how do I associate the scanned desktop PCs with a Product Type enabling me to know what each the various warranties etc are for each desktop PC?

Hi there, i tried to create a Report with all Time-Entries which i need every month to check the invoices from our Consultants. I used the custom-Report Module to create this Report including the Fields - RequestsID - Actual Time - Amount - CostEntry Date - Requester - Request Status - Completed Time and grouped it by Technician with summary in ActualTime and Amount. Now i selected a Report for September and there are many Time-Entries missing in this Report. I'm not able to see why these Items are

Exchange mailbox store,
I need to add bulk users to a specific mailbox store in exchange, how do I do that? I prepare the csv file, and use a template , but no where does it ask me where do I want the mailboxes to be places, in which mailbox store, and it places them in one of the current stores. Also if I want to use first initial + middle initial + last name as a logon how can I add this? this combination doesn't exist thanks

Deleting computer from Active Directory
When I delete a computer account from Active Directory, it doesn't delete it from Inventory after I rescan the domain. Is this possible or do I have to delete computer accounts from AD as well as ServiceDesk? Thanks, Gavin

Incorrect timing values forService Monitors
-ALL- of the Service Monitors I have setup appears to be giving incorrect results. For machines on the same local network, it is reporting timing values in the order of 4500 ms. These values are invalid. o I have done a telnet from the box running OpManager to the devices in question - none take 4.5 seconds to connect (try a few ms). o Service Monitors that are not local (over to the colo down the street) are reporting response times in the neighborhood of 6700 ms. o URL Monitor is reporting times
