I need to write a custom report that will pull all of my assets with a product type of 'Monitor' and a product of 'Monitor'. Here is the hard part, I have all of my monitors assigned to Workstations not people, I need to pull several fields from the Workstation object, 'Workstation' and a few other custom fields, but I want to sort the whole thing by the monitor bit. I think I can write this on my own but I don't know what the fields will be called, of course if you felt the need to do it for me
Service Requests from exteral systems
Has any thought been put into allowing external systems send service requests to SD+. I run HP OpenView NNM, and currently use the SENDMAIL PERL script to send an email to a person when a trap is received. It would be nice if there were a ServiceDesk PERL script available that allowed me to send the data directly to SD+ instead of via email. Hey Guys Just wondering if the requesters will see much change in SD+ 6. I am just doing up some documentation for our requesters in preperation for Jan 31st and wanted to know if I could use 5.5 to work off.

It would be nice if there was a way for individuals to report any changes, additions, or repairs they made to a server. Especially if this was available to requestors. Right now what we are doing is having everyone open a "request" every time they may a change to a server, etc. Then the techs. close them. These are then associated with the appropriate workstation, giving a work history. But it would be nice if one could just attach notes to a workstation, organized by date, and if this feature was

Copy database from Windows to Linux
Is there a way to copy the database from Windows to Linux. In fact I just want to get the IP groups and applications over but if I have to copy the entire database then so be it. It will just take much longer.
Create user from template success but wrong groups?
Ive setup a template where when the user is created, the user is placed into the relevant email and security groups (which varies depending on which department they are joining). The user is created successfully but when I check the "member of" tab, all the extra groups the user should have been joined to are not there, only the default "domain users" is there?? This is surely wrong and its not putting the user in any groups? Is there a fix for this? Thanks, Jonathan.

exchange 2000 monitoring!
Hi, I'm monitoring exchange 2000 on a W2K server and I see some graphs ans Stats are empty. I configured Appmanager7 using WMI (AD authenticated). For example, this Stats are not running: 1. Message Transfer Agent Connections 2. SMTP Stats are all in "zeros" 3. MTA Stats are all "NA" 4. Information Store Stats are all "NA" 5. Directory & Event Service Stats and Information Store Public Folder Stats are in "zeros". All the other graphs shows something. Have you any idea why AppManager does not show

SupportCenter forced repeated logins
Having a problem after installation. Once a user logs in, no matter what they click on it sends them back to the login page, forces the user to re-login, and then forwards them to the requested page. Once the user clicks on the next link the process is repeated again and again and again. Anyone else have this problem? Don
custom monitor emc ax100. Possible?
Hi All, I'm trying to configure custom monitors for an EMS ax100 storage device. When I look in the web based management page for the AX100 I can see that it uses a MIB called fibre alliance. I downloaded that mib and I tried to use the stand alone mibbrowser to see if I could read some data from the device. All I receive is: Sent get request to 192.168.0.50 : 161 Request Failed: Get Response PDU received from 192.168.0.50 Error Indication in response: There is no such variable name in this mib.
Feature Request: Reformatted URL Monitor Notifications
I think this has been requested before, but I'd like to bring it up again. The format of notification emails for URL monitors leaves a little to be desired, especially for us because we send URL notifications to our cell phones via text message. What happens is that the subject of the message is so long that the text message gets cut off before the actual URL that is down is visible. Netflow Analyzer & juniper device
I try to to test the netflow analyzer with my juniper device(J2300). So far, I can see the report but somehow the application not show correctly. All apps was mapped to TCP_App. If I take a look inside. I saw that there are a lot of strange port (ex: 18437, 36895). And from the src and dest I know that it's a LotusNotes traffic which the port is 1352 but it show 18437. Do you have any idea?

Workstation Additional Fields
Hi, I'm working at a university currently running SDP+(5507). We want to track s/n assoicated with each PC we have. I created a workstation-additional field which worked great. My question is this: Is there a way to get this additional information to show on the basic workstation inventory screen? Currently the only way we can view what we have put into the additional information field is by going to edit workstation. Have been on ServiceDesk for about a month now. Considering the low ramp up and deployment curve, I am extremely happy with it. While tightening up SOP's for our techs, we discovered they were not able to run request reports of any kind. This I come to find after riding them for a whole day for usage reports!!! This surely can't be... I did setup scheduled reports, but this is just not going to functionally work... Ideas or suggestions? Anyone out there also have the same frustration?

Service Alert Issue
I recently installed and configured OpManager to monitor a few specific services on a remote server. I am able to monitor the services but when I try to associate a email alert to these services, they do not show up in the check boxes of selectable services. I am curious how I would go about adding a alert to a specific service that does not show up through the normal process. I have looked through the FAQ/Help and followed procedure, but could not associate the email alert to that specific service
Can you run two instances of SD+ on the same server?
Can you run two copies of SD+ on the same server? I need to run two completely different SD+ environments that are not related in any way to each other. However, I'd like to consolidate onto one server if possible (and run them each on their own port). I'm not interested in trying to set up more than one environment under the same instance of SD+ and use business rules to differentiate. I need two completely seperate SD+ instances. Is this possible to do on the same server? Thanks....

Manage HP Storageworks SAN Switch in Opmanager
Anyone try to manage an HP StorageWorks SAN Switch in OpManager? I have defined the object type and categorized it as a switch. But when I look at the ports, it does not recognize them and complains that the Bridge mib has not been implemented on the device. OK that makes sense because it is not a network switch. So how do I manage it and its fiber ports? Thanks. Courtney

Is there a way to know what time the conversations took place on a per conversation basis? It seems that you can only know about conversations between spcific time.

Hello Opmanager MSP Support, I have a question about Opmanager MSP Northbound Notifications. I am currently thinking of running a trial of Opmanager MSP in our lab. In the demo, I was able to see, that I can send an SMS, Email, run a command or program as a notification for an alarm. Is there a facility to send a SNMP trap from each alarm from the central server with the alarm information? Our Manager of Manager is HP Openview OPerations and Micromuse Netcool, and would like to get all the alarms

NetflowAnalyzer and Netflow V9
Hi team, We try to enable netflow v9 on our CISCO 6509 where previously netflow v5 was enable. We get then many, many, many new port interface on our cisco. The first effect was that we do not have enough license :). The second one is, if I deactived the interface, I still get new interface that seems the same. So, I think that we made a wrong configuration of netfow v9 on our system. Have you any recommandation on the implementation of v9 ? Anyhow, we enable again the v5 to get the initial configuration.

We have purchased a 10 user license for the SupportCentre Plus software as we have 10 technicians. However I am unable to log in as myself as one of the logins appears to be reserved by Administrator (it is understandable that the administrator login is not removable). Call me tight but would it not be possible to make it so the administrator account does not take up a license and we can make full use of all 10 rather than getting 9 users?
Business rules change when more than 48 characters used
Hi Support, I was just setting up a new business rule and as part of this I was using Description CONTAINS The state of this item has been changed to Resolved When I tested this it didn't seem to work. When i went back into the rule I could see that this had changed to Description ENDS WITH The state of this item has been changed to Resolv I have checked the number of characters using numerics that it seems to like and I can use Description CONTAINS and paste the 48 characters as below this works

SMS using Clickatell
Has anybody successfully used Clickatell as their SMS portal on ServiceDesk? We use it successfully with ServersCheck, but it requires a usernam and login and on SD+ I think we can only supply username/account? Has anyone had success please? Thanks

Hello, we just purchased a 50 interface licence and we have to plan the needed diskspace for this 50 interfaces. We need to store the raw data 1 month. I�ve setup two netflow interfaces and from the settings i know the flows in the last 1 hour (about 200 flows/sec). Is there a way to calculate approx. the diskspace for this 50 interfaces? Request Replies opens new ticket.
Hi there, I have a problem in that if I reply in SD+ to a requestor, when they reply it opens a new ticket. I've read through the previous discussions and no-one seams to have this problem anymore. I'm using Build 5003. Not sure if this is why but I have removed the two # symbols from either side of the request ID. Many thanks Tim
Missing switch ports from NFA Interface View
I am demo'ing NFA 5.5, Build 5502. I am managing two 6500 switches running hybrid OS. I enabled mls flow full, and export nde version 7. Each switch has about 80 active ports, but only about 25 interfaces appear on NFA for one switch, and only about 5 on the second switch appear. What can I check? Also, is there a way to remove all interfaces from NFA and have them be rediscovered? Thanks, Glenn
