OpManager MSP SSL

I recently installed MSP onto a public facing server and the install appeared to go very well. I assigned the default port (443) to be used for SSL on the central server. When I attempt to install a probe at a clients I cannot use port 443 as they use SBS 2003 based machines an port 443 is already in use by OWA, RWW, etc. So I need to assign another port. I did this on the probe machine but the probe will not register back at the central server.

I assume that the ports need to be identical at both ends for the SSL to perform as it should? The probe server can access the https pages of the central server no problem howver when I attempt to run the web client on the probe I receive an Apache error.

I'm fairly new to this so would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
