Adding Intranet header to pages
Hi I'd like to include SDP into our intranet. To do this I want to add / include our intranet header file above the SDP menu. How can I do this ? Tony
Backup failure when running backUpData.bat
We are running SD+6 with 5 Administrators License (not test license). The backup still not works after I upgraded SD+ to ver 6008. When the backUpData.bat starts, lots of files will be created under the default backup folder, then all files vanished with no .data created when the backup progess close to 100%. I atteched the error message in this topic. Please do help me to solve the problem ASAP. Thanks.
Uncatagorized/Unknown Services and Ports Help!
I have an issue with protocols catagorized as Unassigned and are listed as unknown. There virtually no information that shows what those ports are outside of the home page and clicking the question mark to list them. The problem is that there is no way to actually tie a particular unknown protocol or port to a specific report with that list. Custom Request form Help
Hi, We have created Request Templates, but would like to display different custom fields in the template. For example: We have a template called Internet Support; In this we would create additional fields called "IP Address", "DSL Phone Number", "Router Model" But we do not want to display the above additional fields when we use our Request Template called Workstation Support. Instead we would like to display no additional fields.. Is this possible? I know it can be done with RT. Thanks

Hello, I have a Check Point management stations with two attached R55 firewall clusters (two firewall members each cluster). The LEA communication to the management is working fine, but only one of the two firewall clusters is showing up in the reporting. Is there a limitation of firewalls (cluster) per management station? No Support for Custom WMI
In OPManager 7 Custom WMI monitors don't work. Reqested info for this at Sales, Support and Forum without reply. The conclusion is it is not supported in OPManager 7, consequently OPManager 7 cannot be used by our company.

Home drive Share Creation
I am having a hard time getting AD Manager Plus to create my users home drives and shares. It is saying access denied. I am not 100% sure how to set this up. I am logged into the server as admin and I am not sure if I have this setup right. Is there a tutorial? Does anyone have any info or tips to point me in the right direction? Thanks Mike
Database creation failed
Hi, We had an instance of very high logging for a period of time. The data base has grown very large very rapidly. And also the server drive actaully ran out of space. Now the Firwall Analyser does not start. It reports "Database Creation Failed" How can we repair the database to get it running again? Also how do we prune the database? I have attached the log. We have Applications Manager running in a Linux box and monitoring almost 40 monitors. Partition /opt has a 20GB size and it is actually 65% full and growing steady Please let us know which partitions are being used by Applications Manager and the recommended size of each Linux partition for 40 monitors. Monitoring Using Dell PowerEdge MIBs
We have several Dell PowerEdge servers (mainly 2850's) and would like to monitor them using the MIBs available from Dell. I've loaded the Dell MIBs for PowerEdge v.5.2, A00 using the MIB Browser but a simple test of un-plugging one of the redundant power supplies did not generate an alarm. Need a SQL query to assign a lot of request
Hi, I'm still using SD+ #5503 and consider to upgrade to v6 soon. When v6 will be installed, the assigned technician will be mandatory here. But now I have 300+ requests closed by technicians that remains unassigned. I'd like to assign theses requests to the technician that closed them, I don't need notification or even history, so I thought I could do it through MySQL ... Unfortunately my skills in SQL are too limited to write this request ... Can anyone help me ? Thanks a lot !
Raw Logs
I tried to extract one of the archived log files as per supports recommendation. The document was unreadable. Is there any way to view the raw syslog data collected. Is their a log file somewhere that I can grep for information?
Bug in the inventory section!!!
Okay, my boss just discovered a bug in the inventory module in regards to the reporting of physical memory. First of all, I have noticed from day one that for some reason, SD+ subtracts 1MB when listing the memory size. If the computer has 512MB, it shows 511MB. 1GB shows 0.99GB. And so on. While annoying, it wasn't critical. Now we have run into a critical issue. Tomcat 5.5 Manager - Domain names
We have Tomcat 5.5 as Java and HTTP server. We do not have Apache or IIS as http server for Tomcat. We have configured domain names using server.xml <host> tags. Example: test.website.com www.website_abc.com Web contexts folders which are pointing to domain names are created directly under TOMCAT_HOME directory. Web context folder which are NOT pointing to any domain names are created in webapps folder under TOMCAT_HOME When we monitor using AppManager, we can see Tomcat server without any problems.

Categories not deleting fully
I have stup some new categories in SD+ but when deleting the old ones they still show up in the category lists. I have deleted my cache etc but still no joy. Could this be due to some old calls having used he old categories. Can someone help please?
Firewall conflict
Dear Support Team, i just installed a copy of OpManager ver.6 in one of our ibm server and i noticed, it did not give me a list of servers or routers and some manageable switches after a couple of hours that i installed it. for how long does the opmanager will give us information? aside from enabling the SNMP in all windows machine, what else i need to do? i believed in one our router i did not enable the snmp on it, can you teach me how to enable it? also, kindly tell me what else i should do to
MSDE or SQLExpress
Does anyone know if SD will run on either MSDE or SQLExpress? Currently I am running on MySQL, but in order to get a resource to develop reports, they have requested MSSQL. If it will run on either of these, is there a step by step process to install the MSDE and then change the db from MySql to MSSQL? I have tried this using the changeDBServer file included, but I can never seem to connect.

AD Import getting failed

Wishlist - mouseover on notes
The new feature that allows us to see the notes on a job without opening it is useful. Would it be possible to see the notes with a mouseover as well as with a left mouse click please? When we are looking down the list, mouseover is a better option although the click is necessary to open and amend of course. Thanks

Updated Beta install
When I attempt to install the new beta, currently running build 7000, it wants to uninstall build 7000 wiping out that data and setups. How do I go about getting the new version installed. Also, does the new build include Exchange support? One of the issues I have is that on Domain controllers, the domain authentication works for getting the AD information but fails on the WMI services. If I remove the domain from the auth credentials, the WMI works but the AD fails. Thanks Kirk
Windows Domain Scan failed - Host resolved without domain
Hello SD+ Support Team, I�m testing the 30 day trail version of service desk + 5.5.0.7 on Windows XP SP2. Firewall is down. DNS lookup works fine. Ping from server to host and the other way round works also. Windows Domain Scan in our local network returns the expected results. We have to support the networks of our customers which are connected via VPN. I have added a new Domain with following informations: Domain Name: clientxy (NetBIOS domain name) Public Domain: yes Domain Controller: dc-server.clientdomain.local

MSSQL Application Monitor (WMI)
Hi, We have recently installed OpManager v6015 and the MSSQL Application monitor that we are using to manage MSSQL using WMI. I added the MSSQL WMI App Monitor to the first server and everything worked fine. I could see all of the statistics for that database as expected. I then added it to a second a third server but the server snapshots show no application monitors as being installed for servers 2 & 3. However, I am seeing the database names from servers 2 & 3 showing up in Server 1, but no statistics

SD 6 has been running fine for a couple of weeks after installation. Evaluation and testing was so good we, possibly foolishly, went live two days ago. Adding custom monitos to Graphinfo.xml
In out business we have a new UPS Management card, but it is not possible to monitor via Opmanager. We also have the Powerware Cards, and I have edited the ups_monitors.xml and graphinfo.xml for those, and made a new device type, and they work. I also did this for the new HP UPS management card. But now I am trying to add a graph to Graphinfo.xml, but with no satisfying result. If I add the new monitors before the powerware monitors, they aren't displayed in the list of vendor specific monitors.
