No technicians available to allocate
I have just added all the technicians to various groups and now, when entering a request can only allocate a group. "no options available" appears where normally you could select a technican. Also anyone enters a quick request the job seems to disappear when saved. I believe it is connected to the above issue. Could anyone help me out on this please. Many thanks Roger

Hi, I've just upgraded to version 6.0 (the latest) and I'm very disappointed that closing rules don't apply to custom status ... I have setup a few status with type "Completed" and the closing rules don't apply ... so they are useless to me :( Regards, bsod
SD Upgrade build 6003 --> 6008
Hello, I have been trying to upgrade version 6003 to 6008 but have had some problems. SD is configured for MSSQL and all seems to be OK until 98% when it says uninstalling and performs a rollback. Beow is the log. Can someone please help ASAP on this. I need to upgrade to get some consistancy with the mail fetcher and also delete some old categories etc by tomorrow. Upgrading 6.0 to 7.0
I installed OpManager 7 and it appears there is no upgrade path for our version 6 configuration information. Did I miss something? If not, why would you release a product that isolates previous users and their investments in configuration? Is there a copy of version 6 that I can download to roll back using? Thanks, Colin

Service won't start

Opmanager 7 discovers only the first device in range
Hello, I'm currently evaluation Opmanager 7. When I do a discovery over a class C subnet, it only correctly discovers the first device it finds. The rest is classified as "desktop". When I take a look at the "desktop" group, all devices have a blue star (snmp enabled) and are configured with the correct community. I've tried auto discovering the following devices: Cisco 3560 Cisco 2950 Cisco 3750 When I take a look at a switch which is classified as desktop, at the Sys Desc. I see the correct value's

Hi, I have OM 7.0 running on a trial, and the network dashboard tells me that FastEthernet 0/1 is currently down. super. what it doesn't tell me is which of the many switches this is on, and doesn't give me any option to go click on the name to go to it. in a similar vein, i have other's with descriptions shown as "*** link to comm..." and other names all nicely cut off just before they become useful. my gut reaction is to really really dislike this crude abbreviation of a port, whay isn't it all

We are evaluating this product before buying it, but there is something we want to do that I couldn't find: I'm running a "HTTP URL sequence" and a "Script" although I'd like to link them together in order to run them sequentially and one after the other. or the ability to run script or call it from within the "HTTP URL sequence". Notifications - request status incorrect
When I open a new request, but select the status as 'closed', the notification detail showsa status of 'Open'. The request files correctly and is in fact closed, but the notification doesn't update with this info - any ideas? Thanks

Does OpManager 7 work with MSDE? I have installed MSDE with the default instance on my PC but the OpManager 7 installation says "Host name or port number is incorrect" when trying to configure the SQL server details. thanks Richard
Firewall List Sort Order
Hi, I've added some firewall and everything is going well loggin wise. The trouble I have is I did not enter the firewall in the order that I want to have them displayed in the list. Now that the firewalls are added to the list I cannot change this order or sort. Who do I do this? I can see where I'd add firewalls in the future and would want them in a certain location in the order rather than at the bottom of the list since it was the last to be added. Remove chart from reports
Is it possible to have a report that doesn't show the chart at the top of the page? The chart takes up almost half a page when printed and not necessary for some reports I need to make. This causes a report that could be one page to print two pages.

Edit a technician in a catagory
Does anyone know how to edit the default technician in a category? Even when we select a different technician from the drop down, it defaults to the technician listed in the set up. I can't find where I need to go to change that. Any ideas?? Thanks!

ITIL Beta, sorry in wrong forum
We've downloaded the beta copy of SD+ ITIL and I've come across a few of things with software licenses. There may be a bug when giving a scanned software a minor version. I've tried this twice and both times I end up with the same thing. I loose all options for software licenses or allocating to a workstation. The only thing I see is an option to change type which only list database. 2nd thing I noticed is I ran a scan on my domain and it pulled in two copies of adobe acrobat. Version 7.0 and 7.0.9
Custom report on License quantities
We would like to produce a report on the total of each license that is scanned in the inventory eg. Windows 2000 Pro 23 Windows XP 5 Windows 2003 Server Standard 6 Adobe Acrobat 12 Office 2000 Pro 23 and so on ......
