Application manager doesn't logout of servers
Hi, Using Application Manager 8602 with Linux monitor (via SSH), we witness many occurrences of application manager not logging out of the server once finish running the monitor. This leads to hundreds of stuck bash processes accumulating on our production servers. What can I do in order to fix/prevent this from happening? Thanks, Adi.

Hello, I'm using Applications Manager 8610 for Windows/Linux. 1. I would like to bulk import a JBoss monitor with additional attributes, accessible via JMX MBeans. What should my CSV file look like? Is this even possible? 2. I would like to bulk import other types of monitors, like Java Runtime Monitor, Database Query Monitor and Script Monitor. Is this supported by the application? Custom Monitor - Partition Details For Netapp - How to get partition name
Hi, I'm trying to setup a custom monitor to get me the partition details for my netapp equipment. I've created the custom monitor using the SNMP OID (.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6) which correctly gets me the values for the Percentage Disk Free for each of the file systems on the server. However I cannot figure out how to tell Op Manager to use the OID (.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.2) as the reference for the name of the associated file system. NTLM-Authentication doesnt work with MS-patch KB963027
Hello, after rollout of the April-Patches from Microsoft we experienced that the NTLM-based automatic login at PMP doesnt work any longer. At the moment Firefox is our workaround. Systems: WinXP SP3 and IE7, both fully patched. PMP is 5.4. Before updating PMP we would like to know if this error does definitely vanish when we do so. Thanks Jörg Radtke, Germany

Simple things like a thank you note reopens a closed ticket. Annoying but is there anything that can be done to prevent this action?
Assign requests to groups
On the list view of requests there is a dropdown box of technicians which you can quickly assign requests (or group of requests) to by clicking on the assign button but I want to assign requests through to a group of technicians for one of them to pick up. The way I have to do this is by clicking on each request seperately and the assign option on this screen then gives option to assign to tech or group or both! Is there any way the groups can be added to a section at the bottom of the dropdown
Unable to remote to workstations
There are some workstations that Manage Engine can't remote to, the error we receive is: Failure: Problem while connecting Workstation. Please report the problem to the system administrator, with the Error Code - 1,241,192,567,703. The workstations don't have a firewall enabled.
Group notifications
I have group notifications turned on to let a group know when a new ticket has been assigned to it. I have found that this notification is also triggered if a group member assigns a ticket to the group and themselves as technician. As a work around, I've turned group notification off and simply enabled the notification that is fired when a ticket is left unpicked. Is there an easier way to do this? I feel like I am missing something.
Trick to Scanning Windows 2008
I keep getting the error about dcom not being enabled when trying to scan windows 2008 hosts. I have ensured that dcom is configured as suggested in the troubleshooting page, i have also ensured that the wmi service is running. The firewall is not enabled and the scanning account is a domain admin member. Im sure I am missing something simple but not sure what. Thanks
Cant close/edit/add/assign to another tech on 1 log
Hi there I have a log that I need to close, but when I click on close, it takes forever then eventually brings me into the edit call screen. I try to close it here & it fails again. I cant assign it to another technician, no other technician can close the call or edit it in any other way. Its extremely frustrating.... Can anyone help? Cheers.
Disc not appearing
Hi I have 2 W2K servers operating as a cluster, and they are being monitored through their virtual IP. When I try to monitor the disc space, all the discs appear except 1 of them, which happens to be the most critical disc. Any ideas why this is happening?

Detail Interface Information Not Show in OpManager 8
In OpManager 7, IP address would be shown in the interface detail information. After I upgrade to OpManager 8, the interface's IP address would not shown up anymore! Instead, it is showing the MAC address! Anyone has idea how to correct this issue? :?:
Problem with Sql Server
I have am trying to use sql server for the database. When I run 'changeDBServer.bat' the drop down list does not contain 'SQL Server'. It only has MySql. Sql Server 2005 is installed on the computer I'm running Event Log Analyzer on. Any suggestions as to why 'SQL Server' is not available in the drop down list? Thanks very much for any help. Dave

After announced support non-english OS , i have downloaded trial and install it. Build Number: 60327 As well as earlier in menu Admin > Scope of Management> Add computer(s) non-english names of computers, names OU's in AD is "??????????" and no native symbols. We just upgraded to Enterprise from Professional and installed on a new server. When I do a "Send for Recommendation" the $ApprovalLink field has our old server name in it instead of the new and the link does not work. Where do I change this? Thanks Chuck

Webalarm usage
Is the Webalarm audio feature only for the Admin account? I cannot make it work under either a new Read only or Full permission account. I need it to work in a Network Operations center where certainly a read only account has to be used.

Does Webalarm only work for the Admin Account? I need this to work a Read only account, as the Read only login is used for Network Operations. I don't want to give the NOC the Admin account, but the audio alerts are their benefit.
Setting up for the first time
Hi, I'm setting up OpManager here for the first time and seem to be getting some strange behaviour. 1. I have added 2 URL monitors and while they show up on the Infrastructure Snapshot, they do not appear under the URL monitors and so I can't edit/delete the ones I have already added 2. I have added 2 firewalls and again, they show up in the Infrastructure Snapshot, but they do not show under Firewalls - if I chage it to 'List View' in the firewalls section they do appear there. Am I just using this
