Creating Custom CLI Grid-Style Monitors

Creating Custom CLI Grid-Style Monitors

Hi All,

In OpManager's built-in CLI Monitors, say for HP-UX, the ability to show the results in a table or grid appears to exist. I would like to do the same in a custom CLI monitor where a shell script would return several rows of data that should be dsplayed and monitored, each with is own threshold and re-arm values, as well as units of measurement.

I already know how to create custom CLI monitors that call scripts and return results that are parsed as per the HostResource.xml document. I would like to tell OpManager to capture the data as table (the information would be related information which is why we want to have it in table) so when it is viewed, it comes up together.

As an example, on a Windows CPU monitor, all the CPUs are shown in a table. The UNIX ones are combined rather than in a table. I am not asking to show the CPUs as a table for UNIX servers, just asking how to display related information in a table in a similar fashion.

Thanks in advance.
