As for the credential problem - I don't know for sure but either one of our domain admins changed the OpManager windows password (unlikely) or the credentials defined in OpManager became corrupt and we have a log analysis tool that began reporting/alarming on failed logon attempts to various windows servers so rather than going through each server individually to check the credential setting (which now fails) and changing them. I opted to remove the credential from the credential settings tool under admin. After deleting the windows credential opmanager changed the credential for all windows boxes to:
User: "domain name"/ opmanager
Password: ********
Which is not one of the credentials I've setup (or see in credential settings) for it so where did it come from? This means I still have to go through the Opmanager server snapshot for each of our 120+ windows servers and change the password - NOT GOOD!
I've been a staunch supporter of OpManager and Netflow Analyzer here but we are now getting ready to build a NOC with OpManager as the central monitoring tool and with what I've been seeing with bugs lately I'm thinking we are going to have to explore other tools.
