Alarm dissapears once the problem has been cleared
Hi, We are new to Opmanager and I cant seem to find anything that may resolve our problem. Over the weekend we had an outage that caused a number of alarms to trigger , however when we look back at the alarm history we see all the clear status however dont see any other status once the problem has been cleared. We need to be able to review back over the alarm history to see when problems happened in a single view. Thanks Brett

i have created a mail notification, and associated it to a URL in opmanager 7.0 but i want to set the consecutive time, example if i set the time to 3, and the URL monitors fails for 3 times continuously, then only opmanager 7.0 should notify me. not for the every failure. How to do this?

How to monitor an attached iSCSI volume for availability
We have a RHEL Linux server which is a VM (the VMFS is hosted on a SAN storage device) but the system also uses an iSCSI attached volume from a NAS device for its database. How can we monitor/check the availability/capacity of the iSCSI attached volume from within OpManager.
Feature request: List view for UPS's

Hi, I notice the OpManager will not send email notification if it is already sent earlier. Yes, it is okay to avoid sending the same notification many times while we are working on resolving the issue. But what if no one acknowledge the alarm? Suppress Alarm
Hi, I would like to check, is there a way where we can suppress all alarm related to the network interface? I can do this in "notification profile" (to avoid send email on network interface related alarm), but then in OpManager it will still trigger an alarm. I want to see discards/errors without seeing up-down events on interfaces. Any ideas?
I have student ports I would like to monitor for errors or discard excessiveness, but don't want events to come through when they connect and disconnect their computers. Will I have to unmanage the ports or remove them and lose everything monitored on them just to stop the updown events? Thanks.

Interested party field and attaching invoice PDFs
Two features... 1. An "interested party" field for POs - the approver, the technician, the signing authority and the person in the Finance department who actually pays the bill are all separate people. It would be nice if they could get notifications. 2. The ability to attach documents to Invoice entries. We get a lot of invoices in PDF, and it would be nice to be able to attach them to the PO.
Asset Management - Retrieving Network Device Information via SNMP string
I'm using network scan for the network devices (router, switch..etc), but all I can get is the interface information. I can't even retrieve the router hostname, serial number and IOS version. Is there any special configuration needed to achieve this? Thanks.
SD Password Reset
We do not use AD Integration for our User Accounts - this is due to a large number of users not being a member of our Domain. With this in mind, we do have a lot of users requesting password resets to access the ServiceDesk portal. Many applications/portals would usually have the option of resetting a password when logging in. So far I have not been able to find such an option within ServiceDesk. Hi, If the escalation level reaches Level 3 then can we send a notification mail to users which are not the technicians. Below is the scenario what i am trying to explain: If suppose the server goes down and the requester raises the ticket, then it should be resolved within 30 mins and if not then it should escalate to Level 2 and then it should be resolved within 30 mins and if still not done then it should be escalated to Level 3 and send a notification mail to all the Sr.managers and Vice-Presidents.

Device Template For multiple 2003 servers with different thresholds?
Say I have several classes of 2003 application server. Monitors are using WMI. A) Type 1 that needs to say monitor free disk space by GB, threshold of less then 10 gigs. B) Type 2 that needs to monitor disk space by GB, threshold of say less then 50gigs. It would appear you cannot create two device templates using the same OID or name like "Windows 2003". So you make one with a OID "Windows 2003 A" and "Windows 2003 B" but now you cannot apply the profiles to any devices because the list of devices

I have downloaded and loaded the mibs from here: http://www.oidview.com/mibs/3375/md-3375-1.html It is a multiprocessor device. Most of the monitors that were created for the 3600 template work, except for CPU and Memory. This OID for CPU in the template returns nothing: 100-(.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.42.0*100/.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.41.0) Likewise for the Memory OID: (.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.45.0*100)/.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.1.2.1.44.0

Is it possible to publish a report in html format, say every 5 minutes to an FTP site to be uploaded on a different web server? We have a web facing application utilising around 6 servers, the monitoring is done on a server that is not accessible to the web. We want to be able to provide high level visibility of the servers availability to the board and customers. Transfer a user/password between resources?
Is there a way to transfer accounts between resources? I'm in the situation where I will have many 'unowned' passwords imported from legacy systems, and often they will be under generic resource names (eg 'FedEx Windows'). I could cludge it and have each user/pwd assigned to a single resource (eg FedEx1, FedEx2, ...) but it just gets messy and unintuitive for end users. As owners come forward and claim these orphaned accounts I will need to move them to the appropriate managed resource. Equally

Resource Import - importing data which doesn't exist
I'm working on importing a 1000 line spreadsheet of resources / accounts. Each resource has ~10 accounts under it which are all unique. I've got 6 fields I'm importing: Resource, Department, Client (custom added field), Group (custom added field), Username, and Password. When I do the import I end up with about 200 extra passwords in the system - it looks like there is a problem with the custom added fields being imported properly as I see custom fields which do not have the right values. Custom Reports: Selected recipients are not saved
Hi, we came across a bug when trying to schedule a custom report. Users selected as recipients of the report under "other users" are not saved when saving the schedule. When you reopen the schedule and open the "select / view" dialogue the list of selected users is empty. We solved the problem by selecting "email ids" and entering the users' mail addresses. Is there a way to limit disk usage of Eventlog Analyzer? If I put the archive and database on a very large 500GB+ volume, is there a way to limit the disk usage that it will take to only 100GB? Is there some sort of automated cleanup of archives to also limit them by age? say I only wanted to keep 60 days of archives? Thanks,

I currently am running Service Desk 7 Build 7608 and planning of at least upgrading to Build 4611 (might be going to version 8, don't know yet). Server is running on a WinXp virtual machine (VmWare). We are currently using a SQL 2008 Server x86 DB We need to migrate it to SQL 2008 Server x64 DB (due to different technological choices) Will our database still be usable after a migration on SQL 2008 x64?
