I was actually quite exciting about the version 8 release, and don't get me wrong i still am. But...

One of the most anticipating new features implemented, the so-called Service Catalog, isn't available in the Professional Edition, which suprised me actually (not even in a limited manner). My reasoning behind this is that the Professional Edition with 250 or even 500 assets basically means you have somewhere between 50 - 300 people to work for, which is quite a bit to do on your own.

The Service Catalog, when implemented into the Helpdesk, could probe very valuable here. Unfortunately the licensing team decides to put this feature only in the Enterprise Edition. But isn't it possible to implement the Service Catalog also in the Professional Edition, though in a more limited way or something? (You can only make 10 or 20 service items, for example). But now we don't have any feeling with it... i played around with the Enterprise Edition, which introduced me the Service Catalog, otherwise i've missed it completely (the many marketing videos doesn't make much sense to me). So next to that, i think you are ruling out many potential customers here, to whether or not play around with it, eventually deciding to step up to the Enterprise Edition (at least, if the cost stays within normal  limits and doesn't double or triple).

I was thinking about stepping up to the Enterprise after i played around with the Enterprise trial edition. I decided not to though, because in a sense, i wouldn't have known anything or less about the Service Catalog should i not have been playing around with the Enterprise trial version (so hands-on video demonstrations would be much more usefull then actual animation text videos)...
