Device Down for laptops and desktops
Hello all! I have added laptops and desktops and when they are powered off I get a ton of "Device Down: No response from device for last 5 polls ". How can I stop this from reporting powered off machines, but still have it monitor resources and event logs? Thanks in advance!

Notification Severity
We have noticed an issue in which we do not receive notifications that I would expect to receive. We have OpManager set to send email notification in the event that one poll (ping) is missed. We do receive this email notification. The problem that we are experiencing is that no notification is sent at 3 missed polls or 5 missed polls. I would expect OpManager to send a follow up email at the 3 missed and 5 missed thresholds considering this would indicate a "critical" status. I checked the notification
Custom Switch Interface SNMP Alert Message
I've renamed the interfaces for the switches configured in OpManager 7 (Build 7025), however, whenever I get an SNMP Alert about an interface going up/down, it uses the ifDescr field instead of the Display Name that I've added. I can modify the details of the Alert, but it does not appear to include any field where I can display the Interface Description that I've added. Is there anyway to customize the SNMP Message that is sent in that email? Or is there any other way for me to get that Display

Discovery Problem!
I can manually Add the device and can even ping to it. I even made the relevant changes from false to true to the Discovery.properties file. Still can't make the error(the devices in the specified range is not active ) to go away whenever i try to add it by the use of .csv file. Can you guys please help me?

SNMP driving me insane
We're trying to use opmanager 8 to monitor our linux servers. Nothing fancy, just basic SNMP data. We've opened the firewall and have verified by another piece of software (cricket) that the data is retrievable. However, Opmanager cannot retrieve it. At all. A simple check on retrieving the CPU processes fails miserably. using the UCD-SNMP-MIB and checking the OID of .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0 with the correct credentials and hostname (IP in this case) immediately returns with an error: Request
ESX Server - virtual machine is powered off
We have 3 ESX servers. Each of them has at least one Virtual machine powered off (purposely). These virtual machines may be dev/test servers or even virtualized desktops. I'm trying to understand why 2 of the 3 indicated trouble alarms because a virtual is powered off and one does not. Here is what I'm experiencing. ESX1 Total VM: 43 VM Powered off: 2 only one alarm detected that indicates one vm is off. ESX2 Total VM: 14 VM Powered off: 2 No alarms detected ESX3
Exchange Agent Message Bytes Question
Hi, We have the Exchange-Server Agent up and running, but I continually receive warnings: MTA message bytes per sec reached the threshold level. : MTAMessageBytes : Curent Value : 2060588 : Threshold value : 2048000 : Severity : Critical : Rearm Value: 2000000 When I check the monitor, it seems that the value is constantly added and is never reset again. What does this value mean? My monitor says, that I have a constant traffic rate of more than 7 MByte/sec of messages. Juergen

Good day, I have any question for you. For all devices in "Server" category I can not to select a interface in "Interface is having some problems". I see only : when any [selected...] Interface is having some problems No managed interfaces/ports found for this device. But all interface is present in Interface Tab. Why don't I see it in window of "Edit Criteria for profile ..." ? Slava.
Concatenating Data
Hi, We're currently looking using OpManager to monitor incoming and outgoing HTTP traffic on a squid proxy. We have the MIB loaded and the data being polled, however it produces the input and output into separate graphs via a custom report. 1) Is is possible to concatenate the input and output data (two separate checks) into a single graph? 2) It is possible to set a custom view on the default for the server to display a rolling graph of this data. This is something we need to access and review
rediscovery doesn't work for interfaces
Hello Gents, Interface descriptions were changed on the switch. I tried to rediscover interfaces. OpManager found changes, I applied 'add' button, but there were no changes in descriptions. All descriptions are the same. I can delete an interface and add it again. But it will delete all statistics, that's not good. I see these troubles on 30 (!!!) cisco devices. How to update interface descriptions ? Is there any way to do it automatically by schedule ? Also I have troubles with Cisco 6500.
First OPManger install, Windows fine, Linux NOT FINE :-(
I've been fooling with OpManager on Windows and I like it a lot, but I won't dedicated a Windows machine for it. I've tried the Linux install on a couple of different machines and I have troubles - it doesn't want to find the mysql instance. If I manually set the correct location for mysql the startup gets further and then it fusses about not having permissions for the database. Is the latest OpManager Linux binary in need of attention or is this something to be fixed by hand?

Monitoring Accuracy in OPManager
Hi, Just want to have a clear idea of what is happening in OPManager. Recently, we're having problems with regards to OP. With some of the servers enrolled in OP it seems that they are not being monitored quite accurately. We've been receiving alert notifications with regards to free disk space, cpu & disk utilization. But upon checking on the server itself, the disk space is still big enough & the utilizations are not that high. Is there something we can do about it? Kindly enlighten me on this
Mib browser still reported usmStatsUnknownUserNames(.1.3.6.1.6.3.15.1.1.3.0) error even the user has already been configed
As title, user has already been configed in my machine and Mib browser. Machine supports SNMP V3 and only SNNP NBI agent has been restarted after configuration, MIb browser can get data from my equipment. Could you tell how I can debug this issue on server side ? AdventNet in my system is in release 4.0.3, any tools can help ? thanks for your help!

Multiple SNMP credentials
Hi, We're monitoring several linux servers, and require a different snmp port for squid as opposed to the standard snmp monitoring port. We've tried setting both sets of credentials, but it seems from the snapshot that we can only apply one set (and one port) to the server. Rather than forwarding the ports on the server, is there a way we can use different snmp ports for different checks?

Is there a way to setup email priorities so that certain alerts/notifications have different priority levels when they are sent through email?
Setting up for the first time
Hi, I'm setting up OpManager here for the first time and seem to be getting some strange behaviour. 1. I have added 2 URL monitors and while they show up on the Infrastructure Snapshot, they do not appear under the URL monitors and so I can't edit/delete the ones I have already added 2. I have added 2 firewalls and again, they show up in the Infrastructure Snapshot, but they do not show under Firewalls - if I chage it to 'List View' in the firewalls section they do appear there. Am I just using this

Urgent : availability distribution issue
Hello, I migrated to OPManager 8 build 8006. after few days, avalaibility distribution is not working, I can see last 24 hours, yesterday but others are not working. e.g. when I select last 7 days, distribution shows some days but not the 2 last days. if I select last 24 hours or yesterdays, it shows the avalaibility it is urgent for us as management is using dashbords set for them.
