We're trying to use opmanager 8 to monitor our linux servers. Nothing fancy, just basic SNMP data.

 

We've opened the firewall and have verified by another piece of software (cricket) that the data is retrievable. However, Opmanager cannot retrieve it. At all. 

 

A simple check on retrieving the CPU processes fails miserably.  using the UCD-SNMP-MIB and checking the OID of .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0 with the correct credentials and hostname (IP in this case) immediately returns with an error:

 

Request failed or timed out. Error: Request Timed Out to 10.3.73.8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

This is despite another program being able to return the correct data.
