Generated Reports Saved in OpManager server
Hi, Is it possible in OpManager that generated reports from Scheduled Reports will be saved in a specific drive in the server itself? For now, OpManager is capable of sending the reports thru xls and pdf format on our email. Thanks.
Windows 2008 SNMP Trap service quandary

Used disk space difference over time
Hi In order to provide Capacity Planning info it would be nice to have a "growth" report, be it in MB, GB or % for each partition on each server so I can estimate when drives are liekly to fill up. adding ESX3.5 Servers
Hi, after the support in this forum already solved most of my problems, I try it with the last one too. I tried adding our ESX3.5 Servers to the monitoring. I get the message "added successfully" but I don't see the device (also not in Desktops, search returns no results ...) When trying to add them again I get the message that they already exist. Then I have to remove them with the removeDBentriesNew.bat. I tried extending the SNMP timeout but still have no luck. I am not 100% sure that the SNMP

Node Availability dependant on its services and processes
I would like to measure the availavility of a node not only depending on node availavility (ping) but also taking into account the services running on it. ManageEngine Backup Question
The backup procedure for the ManageEngine products is a bit of a chore in comparison to the rest of my backup system but it has to be done. I understand that there is bat files to stop the service\servers, start the backup, and restart the server\service, so it stands to reason you should be able to create a bat file to do those things in some kind of sequence and use Windows Task Scheduler to automate the backup process correct? HWg-STE SNMP Temp Sensor - MIB
Hi, I have problems implementing our new SNMP Temp sensor in Opmanager. 1. The MIB I got from the manufacturer doesn't get accepted by Opmanager. I used an other SNMP browser which accepted the MIB file. I attached a screenshot from the 3rd party SNMP browser (snap.png) and the MIB to the topic. 2. I tried to add a new sensor to the Template using .1.3.6.1.4.1 (RFC-1213) which seems to be compatible with the sensor. OpManager Update Issue
I was running OpManager update from 8022 to 8050 but this installation ended abruptly. I am able to start OpManager and it works fine but when i go to About, it still shows version 8022. When i try to reinstall the 8050 update, it comes back and says that i already have 8050 update installed. I dont see updates to uninstall in UpdateManager. Is there a way i can re-run the 8050 update? Thanks

Did OpManager support Huawei and H3C devices ?
We have lots of customers who using Huawei or H3C network devices. But i found that OpManager did not support any of those devices, we must create device template by ourself. We did it all the time, each time when we need to install OpManager for customers, we have to recreate those device template again and again. Could you please help us ?

Analog Modem on Opmanager
I have connected an analog modem on my Opmanager Server. With Windows I can connect to the modem and test it with no problems. Opmanager however keeps saying: Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings! Any ideas what i am doing wrong ?

[OPManager] SUN Solaris component tempertures and RAID monitoring
Hi there, Need some help in configuring temperatures and RAID monitoring for Solaris servers and also our Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers. I tried working with the templates provided but couldnt get anywhere and I am not sure if we have the MIBs needed for it on SNMP. I am also trying with the telnet/ssh login creds for the server where i can issue ipmitool sdr list |grep degrees so i can filter some results. Can anyone assist please? Thanks.

Hi! We have several remote offices that we would like to monitor the wan links on. The problem is that we DONT have Cisco routers but we use HP and EdgeCore switches with routing capacity. How can we monitor the response time and traffic on these switches? The WAN Add-on only seems to work on cisco routers.

I have the need to create multiple alerts based upon the same criteria, this was one area that OPManager feel short when we reviewed it. How to install WMI on Client PC
Hello, I'm trying to use Opmanager with the WMI protocol, but I can't get it to work. I think the reason why it isn't working is because I don't know how to install it properly. That because I've never done it before. Maybe there is a port that needs to be forwarded or another service that needs to get activated but I can't find what it is. For testing the WMI I'm using a small free windows program called Solarwinds WMI Monitor. When I test the WMI protocol it says that the Remote server is unreachable

Exchange 2007 Dashboard questions
Hallo. I just enabled the Exchange dashboard. I am running Exchange 2007. I wonder about send/received statistics. After finding out that the SMTP monitors don't work for 2007, I started wondering why they are added and displayed in the dashboard. What I would like to see is a send/receive statistic per hour/per minute or so. What I see in the transport monitors is Messages received per second. All other statistics values are 0. The messaged received total doesn't give me a lot of information. I
Retrieving cisco router config changes hostname!
Tonight we had a minor disaster. I set up OpUtils to copy some of our router configs, which had hostnames like this: hostname router1.site1 hostname router1.site2 etc. Well, OpUtils CHANGED THE HOSTNAMES when retrieving the configuration, dropping the suffix qualifier. As a result, a technician didn't realize he was in the wrong router and screwed up a configuration. I've verified the behavior in several tests. Custom MIBs in the switch summary
Hi, Currently trying out OPutils as I look for a system to track our switching/ip needs, and I'm having a bit of trouble with getting info up for my switches. I am using Extreme Summit 350x switches, and the switch summary screen slows port/mac and link information, but not the VLAN names of each port. I have added a custom MIB into the MIB browser, and if i walk through using that MIB, i can see the VLAN ids. My question is, how do I get these vlan ids to show in the main switch screen? Thanks,

All my laboriously entered subnets vanished without warning!
I spent a couple hours carefully entering all our subnet records, then suddenly they all vanished! I thought I must have accidentally hit delete or something, so I began entering them again, and before I got a third of the way through it happened again! This time I'm certain I did not press delete (and anyway, OpUtils would have asked for confirmation, no?). The records all entirely vanished. I just bought this and if it's unstable I'll want a refund. What's going on? I'm running on Windows Server

Hi, new to OpManager and looking at it to check some sites for me using URL Monitoring. The sites expect certain browsers to present themselves and use javascript and vbscript to check browser and redirect if valid supported one. Can I get URL Monitor to lie about what it is and support script so I don't have to make code changes to the site to allow it to be monitored? Cisco CATOS Support Problem Again
Opmanager first found the cisco 6509(CATOS) as a route and I change the type to Cisco 6500 and switch type. But the portname can not show the right name(such as Ethernet G2/1 etc.) and only show "long ...". For this customer's network topology is cisco 6510 connect with cisco 6509 via the ATM layer(Nortel Passport 15000). Please tell me how to solve it. I also want to know whether the product support cisco CATOS. For performance monitor. It can show memory usage and cannot show CPU usage. Frank

We have a problem on a newly installed server with OpManager 8052. The server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 (which I was promised by OpManager support that it is supported running platform). The problem is that when you run the dashboard (we are running it on a remote machine) a message appears saying: "Message from webpage" "Error occured. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Dashboard Refresh
Is it possible to have only the widgets do a refresh on the dashboard? When the whole dashboard does a refresh the widgets that show real time traffic looses there graphs for a few seconds before it picks up again. We have widgets that show "Recent Alarms", "Business View Summary" and "Devices Exceeding Response Time" and for them to update there status the whole dashboard need to be refreshed. It would be great if you could set up individual refresh rates on all the widgets instead.
