A scrolbar when you add a link
When you add a link on a map between 2 devices sometimes the names of the interfaces are to long that you aren't able to see the whole name of the interfaces.
Only the first MAC address from switch port mapper per port shows up in IP address area manager.
Hard to explain, but if I have multiple ip address's/mac address's connected to a single port on a switch (because the other end has a dumb switch, is a virtual server, etc), only the he first ip/mac listed in the switch port mapper section (the rest are listed when you click "more') will have that corresponding port listed in the ip address manager section. Does that make sense? Please advise.
OP-Manager delete SMS notification Q
Hi, I'm using OP-Manager installed on a virtual machine with the DB in MS SQL. We are in the latest build 8052. The SMS modem is attached phisically to the host and all is Ok if the VM doesn't move (VmWare V Motion) to another host. If this is hapening the SMS notifications will be queued. Once the VM will be moved back to the proper host and connected to the SMS modem, all the queued SMS will be sent over. Is there a solution to delete the SMS in the queue? If not I would need to wait that
ifspeed change alerting
I'm evaluating OpUtils at the moment and I have a question concerning the interface speed. We had some problems with the cabling in the past. The result of these problems was a change of the interface speed from 1Gbps to 100Mbps. At the moment nobody notices such a change until a problem occurs. Is there a possibility to generate an alert with OpUtils if a specified interface changes the speed? It is not necessary to generate this alert immediately. An alert after a scheduled rescan (every hour)
Setting up SNMP in Linux Environment
Hello, I installed and configured the SNMP for Linux per this website. http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs/INSTALL.html The installation went thru find without any errors and when I type the rpm -qa |grep snmp, it gives the the version, etc. That means the snmp was installed correctly. But, when I tried to start the service, it won't start. I tried all the commands that was suggested here to stop and start the snmp services, but it says that the file can't be found. So, I created the snmp.conf and

How to install & run OpUtils in Cent OS?
Unlike other unix based operating systems like Redhat, Fedora, Ubuntu, etc., Cent OS need some specific changes during installation. The steps below will guide you in getting OpUtils installed on a Cent OS: Download the Linux installable from our website and run the installation. The installation can run either as a normal user or a root user. After the installation, login as a root user and execute the command: export PATH=/usr/sbin:$PATH Now, run the installFirebird.sh located under <Install_Dir>/ManageEngine/OpUtils/bin
SNMP v3 Stops Working When Device's IP Changes
The network that we have OpManager installed is fairly dynamic and the IP addresses of some of the devices change on a regular basis. A recurring problem that we are having is that when the IP address of a device changes and we update it in OpManager (and its associated entry in the local /etc/hosts file), we are no longer able to query SNMP v3 statistics from the device. We can still poll it using snmpgets from the linux command line and browse it using your built in mib browser, but it will not

MSSQL monitors send notifications to profileseven when not selected
We have MSSQL server monitors running on OPManager 8052. Average Lock Wait Time monitor is set to poll every 15 minutes with threshold 5120. Whenever threshold limit is reached, notification is sent to EVERY notification profile defined for the server even when "when any [selected...] MSSQL Monitors are down" Criteria is not selected for some notification profiles. Also other MSSQL monitors behave the same, Average Lock Wait Time monitor is just one example. Notification is also sent when this Average

Monitoring Domian Controllers
With earlyer versions of OpManager it was possible, to monitor Windows domain controllers WITHOUT the active directory add on to OpManger. Of course, one couldn't monitor active directory counters, but one could monitor ressources such as memory or disc comsumption as well as hardware failures (as long one was installing the correct MIBs). Today I found out, that this is not longer posasible using built 8051 of OpManger: the system detects domain controllers but refuses access to them, stating

Application and SLA monitor
Hi guys, I am looking for a software which could be able to monitor applications and SLA parameters. One of the main characteristics is that it could offer detailed information about TCP connections. For example, time to complete the handshake, retransmitted, lost, out of order packets, data rate, traffic volume between server and users (endpoints), tcp sessions, etc. It´s a big network with thousands of clients. Hope you can give me the best option.
Problems with configuring Multiple Thresholds
Normally the way we configure multiple thresholds is by doing it at the template level. For some reason we are not able to modify the thresholds for Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003 devices as the only monitor that can be configured this way for those two types of templates is Disk Utilization, everything else (CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization and Partition details thresholds) cannot be mass configured, but have to be configured one at a time. Something that is incredibly tedious and
Select a specific OID in the Device Template
Hi, I am creating a new Device template for a Juniper switch. I put the right MIB in the OpManager mibs folder. Then I created a new template for the right SystemOID. Then I associated a CPU monitor to this template. The problem is that Juniper has several sub-OIDs under the CPU OID. The wizard doesn't let me choose a specific OID but only the main leaf. Is it possible to specify the OID manually instead of choose it with the "MIB Browser"? The problem is that under the main OID I have several sub-OIDs
