Setting up SNMP in Linux Environment
Hello,
I installed and configured the SNMP for Linux per this website.
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/docs/INSTALL.html
The installation went thru find without any errors and when I type the rpm -qa |grep snmp, it gives the the version, etc. That means the snmp was installed correctly.
But, when I tried to start the service, it won't start. I tried all the commands that was suggested here to stop and start the snmp services, but it says that the file can't be found. So, I created the snmp.conf and added all the commands but still unsuccessful.
Does anyone has the same issue? Can you share what you have done to fix this issue?
Thanks,
z-ram
