Exchange 2007 Dashboard questions

Hallo.

I just enabled the Exchange dashboard. I am running Exchange 2007.

I wonder about send/received statistics.

After finding out that the SMTP monitors don't work for 2007, I started wondering why they are added and displayed in the dashboard.

What I would like to see is a send/receive statistic per hour/per minute or so.
What I see in the transport monitors is Messages received per second. All other statistics values are 0.
The messaged received total doesn't give me a lot of information.

I would like to have statistics like "Messages Submitted Per Second" and "Messages Queued For Delivery Per Sec" populated. But they stay 0.

Can someone help me out here? Is there something wrong in the configuration or in my understanding of how things should work?
