Cisco ENVMON MIB unable to load in OP manager MIB browser and provide an error. I need to load this mib for cisco router temperature traps. I am attaching the error snap shot. BR Farhan
WMI counter for Disk idle % percentage incorrect
I have added a WMI counter for Disk Idle % on 8 servers. 4 of them are correct. The other 4 are way wrong. If I watch perfmon, the disks are idle over 95%, OPManage is showing more like 20% on the reports and the TOP 10. If I go to the montior and click test, it comes back wrong the first time and the correct with every click of the test button after that. But alas, the reports then will only show a blip of being correct and then they go back to being incorrect again. I'm running 8112, patiently

Hello, I am currently attempting to update from version 8812 to 9910 using the ppm that was sent to me, but after going through the process my installation is still claiming that it is version 8812. parse error loading tripplite ups mib
attached is the latest official tripplite mib provided directly by tripplite support. i am getting an error when i drop it (and the ups mib provided) into the mibs dir and try to load it. screen shot attached. please help! Why some WMI performance counters(in OPManager9) differ from same counters in windows performance monitor?
Question about OPManager9 OS is windows server 2008R2 + MS SQL 2008R2. when I add in OPManager MSSQL monitors 'Buffer Cache Hit Ratio' and 'Page Life Expectancy' they show me right results(do match with windows performance monitor), but when I add in OPManager ordinary performance monitors(with 'Add WMI Monitor') WMI class=SQLServer:BufferMAnager and I pick same 'Buffer cache hit ratio' and 'Page life expectancy' 'Buffer cache hit ratio' shows incorrect numbers -2,256,22732 why are these numbers
which snmp mib to monitor windows page fault
I have to monitor a bunch of linux machines and also a few windows box. I am running opmanager under linux. Because of this, I cannot use wmi. Which snmp mib should I use to monitor page faults under Windows server 2008? Note that memory utilization is not useful because with virtual memory, windows server 2008 is always showing full memory utilization.

different device template for multiple farms of linux machines
Hi, Each farm of linux machine is used for different purpose and has different monitoring requirements. Is it possible to create multiple linux server device templates, one for each farm of machines? Is it possible to get the automatic device discovery mechanism to automatically categorize each machine? Perhaps base on ip address or hostname? One approach I can think of is to run multiple OpManager. This is not ideal because of I have multiple banks of machines for different use. Thanks, Jamesk

No Notify Options under Configure Ports
In previous version there was an option to uncheck Notify under Configure Ports on Cisco switches, routers, ect. I am currently evaluating OpManager 6 at my new job and found there is only a manage checkbox option under Configure Ports. I have over 30 switches/routers and getting an IF FA xx/xx port down, link down, ect everytime someone unplugs from data port of shutdown their computer. mib browser broken on 2nd click of "Get" button
Steps to reproduce: 1. open the MIB broswer 2. enter ".1.3.6.1.4.1" in Object ID input field 3. click "Get" button, this will come back success 4. now click "Get" button a second time (or you can add another number to the end of the OID before clicking) An error pops up box with no message inside. Please see attached jpg. Notice underneath the error box, the data from the first "Get" button click is still there.

Templates and Alert Profiles - Why doesn't it work this way??
So I have over 150 servers under my "Windows 2003" template.. After I setup the template with what I wanted to monitor I went through the Quick Config Wizard and assigned a notification profile to all the servers.. What I would think would and what I want to happen is whenever I add another server under my "Windows 2003" template it should automatically get that alert profile. However, it doesn't do this, unless I'm doing something wrong.. Anytime I add a new server I have to manually setup my alerts

Monitoring file size within folder
Hello I would like to be able to monitor file sizes within a folder without specifying a specific filename. The folder acts as a drop box and then an automated process transfers the incoming files to another folder. The files are always called something different and sometimes there are multiple files dropped in at the same time. I don't know if it's possible to set up a wildcard of some sort so that the filename doesn't matter. for example, the monitor would scan the folder and see file1-11052112011.pdf
Network Monitor configuration questions
1) I have over 200 hundred switches I monitor with Network Monitor. I do not have, nor do I want to configure, DNS names for all of those switches. OpUtils pulls the System Name via SNMP. How can I replace the "DNS Name" column with a "System Name" column? Hi, I just installed OpUtils 6 to evaluate IPAM. First thing that I tried to do was adding a router. The router is a Cisco 3725 multi layer switch with "ip routing" enabled. In OpUtils I filled in the IP address of the router, SNMP read community, vendor name, user name, password and password prompt. IT automation in opmanager
The new IT automation option is very nice, but when I tried to compress/delete old files, I only get files compressed or deleted in the folder I specified, not the ones in the nested folders it contains. Is this the expected behaviour or could I get the entire folder tree compressed/deleted?
'File Monitor' not work for Desktop category
Hi all, I am using OpManager v8 build 8812. I already setup some devices in OpManager : a windows 7 and a windows 2008 machines. Windows 7 is under 'Desktop' category and windows 2008 is under 'Server' category. At the windows 7 machine, 'Monitors' tab, 'File Monitors', I click 'Click here' nothing comes up and I saw a error prompt at status bar. In Windows 7 machine, 'Passwords' > 'Test Credential', SNMP and WMI are Passed. However in windows 2008 machine, the 'File Monitors' function works fine.
Incorrect Information is displayed
Hi there, Opmanager is displaying incorrect HDD utilization of one of the Linux servers. At dashboard it is displaying one partition is 67% full but when you go to the snapshot page of that device it is displaying disk usage is 100% and generating false alarms. I requested the linux team to manually check the disk usage of that server, it was only 65% full. I thought that I have misconfigured the device so I deleted the device and re-added it to opmanager but the result was same. I tried to reinstall
Top 10 CPU not showing Virtualized devices
We are testing OpManager and i have a question, On the "Home - Overview" page i have the "Top 10 CPU Utilization" widget added and i have set it to show ALL DEVICES. Why does this widget not show any of the Virtualized devices in there? So far only Servers added independantly are showing but no virtual machines OR ESX hosts are showing their CPU usage in this widget. The Virtual Machines and ESX Hosts do however show their CPU usage if you look at the "Virtualization" tab...but it would be nice

When sorting by the IP address column, is it possible to sort by octet rather than by straight numbers? How can I use WMI?
I'm currently using the Win 7 Ultimate as the temp server to monitor. Remote Desktop access and SNMP works without any problem but cannot monitor with the WMI. Checked the DCOM (dcomcnfg) and activated the WMI at the services.msc. Also, Firewall is turned off. NCM and Netflow plugin cause OpManager crashed
Hi all, Our Opmanager suffer a problem after NCM and Netflow plugin installed. 1. After the 2 plugin installed according the install instruction, the Opmanager cannot login that popup message"Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server" 2. We reboot the Opmanager server and run RepairDB.bat. After batch file running finished, the Opmanager still cannot login same as above. 3. We uninstalled the 2 plugin and reboot the server
OpsMan 9 - Virtualization Question- Changing Catagories
So've Ive upgraded to v9 and have a question about the new Virtualization part. I have 33 HyperV server and when I go to change their catagory from Server to VirtualDevice I get a popup: " The Device Catagory Cannot be changed to Virtual Device, if not discovered as a VirtualDevice"... Since I have 33 hosts I want to move into this new catagory I need away to do it other then deleting and then redoing them if possible... Anyone found the trick?
