Why some WMI performance counters(in OPManager9) differ from same counters in windows performance monitor?
Question about OPManager9
OS is windows server 2008R2 + MS SQL 2008R2.
when I add in OPManager MSSQL monitors 'Buffer Cache Hit Ratio' and 'Page Life Expectancy' they show me right results(do match with windows performance monitor),
but when I add in OPManager ordinary performance monitors(with 'Add WMI Monitor') WMI class=SQLServer:BufferMAnager and I pick same 'Buffer cache hit ratio' and 'Page life expectancy'
'Buffer cache hit ratio' shows incorrect numbers -2,256,22732
why are these numbers incorrect?
similar question:
why when I add in OPManager ordinary performance monitors 'Partition Details of the Device(%)'
+ with 'Add WMI Monitor' WMI class=LogicalDisk '% Free Space' counter for each disk
'% Free Space' shows me zero for both Disks and 'Partition Details of the Device(%)' shows right values - why is that?
is it normal to add performance monitors with 'Add WMI Monitor' link and selecting WMI class(like in windows performance monitor)?
