Opmanager on server hosting MSSQL and IIS
Hello I was just wondering if this would work. If I had a server with MSSQL and IIS already, could I install Opmanager on the same machine seperately without impacting the existing applications? I know Opmanager uses mysql, so that should not affect MSSQL, but if I have an existing IIS server, IM wondering do I only have to specify a different port to use the 80....? Thanks

Hello I have a problem with printer hp laserjet 1022n. It cannot use the Monitor 'PrinterMarkerLifeCount'. The Monitor don't show data for the pagecount. It show 'N/A'. Monitoring memory of AIX-machines
Hello, We use telnet to monitor our AIX servers. Monitoring the CPU goes fine: we get the correct values. However, Monitoring the memory does not monitor the thing we want. Instead of monitoring the Physical Memory, it monitors the SwapMemUtilization. Is there any possibility to monitor the Physical Memory? Maybe by changing the svmon-command? TIA!
Formatting email alerts
Event log messages are losing their formatting. As a result they are very hard to read when long. Any way to preserve the formatting?

Hello, I just installed and configured OpManager on a win 2k3 server. I can access it from the server browser, however I cannot access it from my desktop. I have tried: Using the IP and port Using the servername and port Going into the httpd.conf and setting the "Listen to IP and port" Setting up a site in IIS and tying to point it to the Login page. Device Availability issue's
Hello, At the today's availability from servers it always says it has been down for 1-2 min. If i check the history for today than, it sometimes shows, 5 seconds unavaiable, or 10 seconds on certain amounts of times. I know that the server hasn't been down, and reports need to be sent to our customers. If the server hasn't been down and up and running, i want to show a 100% availability and not 98,087 % availability today. Is there anyway to change the polling or such for the todays availability

Which ports to allow monitoring through firewall?
Do I just need the following ports to allow OpManager to operate to devices on the other side of a firewall?: SNMP ports 161 (for agent) and 162 (for manager). WMI ports 445 and 135. ICMP used for testing reachability. Anything missing? Thank you.
OpManager will not start
After installing OpManager, the product will work, but after system reboot, the product stops working. It loads, but immediately shuts itself down. When trying to start it manually, it does the same thing. I tried going into the services section and changing the authentication information, but that does not seem to work either. Any suggestions?
Probe Specs
Hi All, We are interested in OpmanagerMSP which looks great and the option to install for clients on evaluation is an excellent way to prove the benefits. But ... the system reqs for a probe doing this are pretty steep since initially for minimum impact we would have to pop it on an existing PC/Server. It looks as though the published sys reqs are overstated - does anyone have a "real world" view on the sys reqs please. Many thanks in advance

New Probes don't register
Hi, We're using MSP 6003. When adding a new probe in the Server it is added to the Trial Probes (where all probes resists, strange, no mather wether I add it as a trial probe or a registered probe). When I install a new probe, the update to MSP6003 is loaded and installed well, but the probe does not register. Probe changes all IP adresses to 0.0.0.0
Hello, I noticed that for one probe the database was corrupted. Only 7 servers left out of the 80. Watched error logs and saw that since a specific time all IP adresses from servers are changing to 0.0.0.0 I talked to a Windows colleague, he stated that around that time our DNS server had servicepack 1 for Windows 2003 installed. Does anyone had this experience or an explanation. Business Views without notifications
I have different Business View in my system, but the notification that it generates is not reflecting in my Global View. I have the Global View - MEXICO, and 15 states, inside of each state I have 3 or 4 locations, and inside of each location I have 2 departments, and inside of each dept I have between 7 and 15 desktop. OpManager Memory Leak
Hi there, We've been evaluating OpManager for about a week now, and have noticed the RAM usage on the machine it is on increase steadily from around 400Mb at the start of the week to 950Mb 5 days later (it's a 2003 server, with only OM on it). All polling seems to have stopped and we aren't receiving any email notifications of any failed services/devices as a consequence. It's at the latest hotfix version of 6015, Thanks, Paul

W2k - not reporting free disk on 1 server
I have one server that I cannot get OpManager to report the free disk space... or Used disk space on. When i click Test Monitor it says it came back fine. I have checked the Agent Settings on the server and made sure they were all checked... what could i be missing? in our mixed environment of 2003/2000 this is the only server not too report anything for disk space. memory/HD utilization graph is working fine though.
Install problems... after reading the FAQ
apache keeps shutting down so I found the FAQ and followed the directions about changing the httpd.conf file, the changes were already there. i also followed the part about the libdb.so. the next step was to launch a file called StartWebSvr.sh, i don't have that file anywhere. Why is responsive server marked as unavailable?
Opmanager has marked (for some days now) one of our servers as unavailable, but on the opmanager page for that server it states at the same time that: Device Response Time: 1ms Todays Packet Loss: 0% Also the services the server provides show no interruption. Why does OpManager think the server is unavailable, and how can I convince it otherwise? Another server, with the same configuration as far as I can tell, does not show as unavailable. MTIA Arie
SMS using Clickatell
Has anybody successfully used Clickatell as their SMS portal on ServiceDesk? We use it successfully with ServersCheck, but it requires a usernam and login and on SD+ I think we can only supply username/account? Has anyone had success please? Thanks

Not Working: MIB Browser
I am not able to get all the MIB data using OpManager, but am able to access them though other NMS. The specific problem is: I am not able to access MIB table data of most tables. Only get works. Get Next does not go to the next parameter. Some of the parameters are marked "blue" and these are accessible through Get. Please refer the attached file for more details. Parameters marked with "red circle" are accessible though other NMS. Tables with such parameters are not accessible.
Install Error - "Unable to load the Jtds driver"
All, We are trying to load the latest version of OpManager on a server. After entering the SQL (2000) server details and upon clicking Next, we get the error "Unable to load the Jtds driver". Business View Device Font Colour
Just a quick and hopefully easy question regarding Business View, I have searched the options in the MapMaker trying to find a location to change the font colour of the devices or add a background to make them stand out a bit more against the aerial photography that we are using. I have looked through the maps.conf in the conf directory trying to find a fontColor tag or something. This file directed me too look at examplemaps.conf which i could not locate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris

reconfiguring downtime schedule does not reenable management
I created a downtime schedule in opmanager 6.0, build 6015. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong day (today, 4/5 instead of tomorrow, 4/6). To fix this, I edited the schedule and used the calendar 'date selector' to reset the start and end date of the downtime. This schedule applied to all devices in category "Server." View Network Status - "Guest"
Tried searching for this and could not find anything. So, my question is, I have OpManager and our IT manager would like other IT people (non technicians) to be able to go to a web site and see a network status without having to log in. Basically, it's similiar in scope to Whats Up Gold's "Guest" account. Which would probably be OK, but I'd rather be able to post elements from the OpManager home page onto our intranet (like categories and whats in alarm status).
