reconfiguring downtime schedule does not reenable management

I created a downtime schedule in opmanager 6.0, build 6015. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong day (today, 4/5 instead of tomorrow, 4/6). To fix this, I edited the schedule and used the calendar 'date selector' to reset the start and end date of the downtime. This schedule applied to all devices in category "Server."

After applying my update, none of my Server devices became "managed." In fact, after stopping/starting the opman Windows services (opman and apache), none of my Server devices were managed either. I had to manually "manage" each device.

Surely there's a better way to do this; and, how can I be confident my updates are in fact applied to my system?
