Hello, I am the administrator for a site and we intend to add this site (probe) to a central server running opmanager server at a remote location.. I cannot get the probe to work. I get this message "Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, you@your.address and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information
NaiComplete.mib file parsing error
Hi, I have some difficult to import the NaiComplete.mib. My OP Manager build version is 7002. When I use the MIB Browser, I receive this message : "Error parsing MIB:NaiComplete.mib Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/PROGRA~1/ADVENT~1/ME/OPMANA~1/./mibs/NaiComplete.mib The error occured at the line no: 8754 ,column: 17. Adding Numerous Devices
Hello, I have a network on which I plan to use OpManager for monitoring. Using the discovery options to add devices would not work well in this situation as the only devices I would like to monitor are switches, and they are on a host of different IP ranges. Entering each range one-by-one or manually entering the individual addresses would simply take too much time. What I am wondering: is there a way to take a file with the relevant information (i.e. IP address, device type, switch model), delimitered

LeftHand Networks SAN SNMP MIBs
Has anyone out there had any experience monitoring a LeftHand Networks IP SAN? We have 5 NSM 150s configured in 2 separate clusters. I'm getting lost here trying to find the right MIBs and which ones to monitor. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Windows 2003 cluster monitoring
Do you plan to deleope or maybe already have special fetures that will enable an efficiant way to monitor cluster resources. Example: If I have a clustered disk resource - it will be available to one of the nodes on a specific time - so the other node will see the free space on the volume as 0. This makes it hard to configure thershhold of alerts on low disk space. Also, there are special counters and resources important for cluster like MSCS , quorum, failover occured etc.

Alarm for avalibility
I am fairly new to OPmanager, but so far have had little problems with configuration I monitor a clients router for Up/Down and response time, I cannot get SNMP access When the router goes down I get a email alert, but when the device comes back up I do not. I see that this event did not create an alarm, so I understand why I do not getting a cleared message - but what is the best way to get a device that only support ping to send you an clear email message Thank you, Mark
MSP Opmanager Modem based SMS
Hello, I upgraded to MSP 6004 and want to try Modem based SMS. Upgrade went fine but when I choose SMS Server Settings I only got a blank screen with the text Error. I'm using a Wavecom M1306B which works fine using Hyperterm on com1. Can I edit SMSServer.conf manually if I want a quick test. Thanks, Ari van Asseldonk
Unable to change "Status" from Attention to Clear
Just a quick problem and I'm sure this can be cleared easily. I hae several devices that during the initial setup and installation of OpManager had alarms which I just deleted. Now those devices show their status as being "Attention" (little yellow exclamation icon). If you go into the alarm page there are no alarms listed for these devices. And if you show all alarms, any alarms listed there are clear and acknowledged. Is there some way I can clear the status on these devices? Thanks.
Trigger test alarm?
Is there any method in OpManager MSP to trigger a test alarm on a device, in order to verify that alarms are being delivered and processed through the notification profiles correctly? In a previous product we used, we could, for example, trigger an alarm in the monitoring system to simulate that a router went down. Thanks! --Scott

OpManager 7 for AIX memory Monitoring
Hi, Support Team Here have a problem about Memory Monitoring for AIX 5L V5.3. I used host-resource-mib->mib2->host->hrstorage->hrmemorysize to query the AIX's memory size. the dialogue box show me those. "hrMemorySize.0:2621440" this value only have 2.5GB. but my system is 3.5GB physical memory, normally should be 3670016. did i use the wrong mibs? or something i need to modify. by the way thx for ur support BR, Rino Yeh
Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 wrong oid
I have added two Cisco VPN concentrators 3000 and after two days of monitoring, I cannot get any data apart from network interfaces utilization. So, I have checked oids used for Memory,Cpu and active sessions and they are oids for Cisco Pix 501, no wonder they not work with Concentrator 3000. Is this a bug? I have thought that Concentrator 3000 was supported "out-of-box" but it seems not. Is there any solution apart from creating custom rules with right oids? Devices are set correctly with SNMP.

MSDE 2000, 2005 Express or SQL Server 2000 ?
We have had many problems getting SD+ (6006 -> 6008) to work reliably: Scheduled Tasks stop running, 6008 Restore corrupts database, etc. SD+ was installed on French Windows XP PRO SP2 with database on French Windows 2003 Server SP2 with French SQL Server 2000. Support tells us to reinstall everything in an English environment: From the logs it looks like MSSQL and/or OS are in Native language setup. Unable to add devices "Device not reachable"
Hello I have confirmed that i can reach my devices with ping and SNMP, I have also added the correct SNMP credentials to the Credential Library. But when I try to add a device I get the error message "Device not reachable" when trying to add the device. I also tried to Discover Devices but it returned 0 devices. It wasn't me that installed our OpMan but I have no one around to ask at the moment. I might be missing something fundamental here :) I checked the log file and it only shows the discovery
Test monitor fails while snmp request using MibBrowser works
I'm evaluating OpManager before buying it, and I have some performance monitors problems for Linux servers. I have the "Snapshot view displays "No Data" for CPU, Memory or Disk utilization" problem, I've checked the "Troubleshooting Snapshots and Graphs". When I use the Mib Browser, set up host and snmp community, and request ".1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.11.0" using "UCD-SNMP-MIB.mib", it works fine and I get the answer. Problems with opmanager 7
Opmanager 7 appears to stop monitoring devices after a few days, the 'availability distribution' graph goes blue (not monitored). This is only fixed by a reboot.
How delete alarm recognized
Hi, I download OpManager 7.0 and I want to compare with MOM, but I had a problem. When I clear or delete an alarm, when this alarm is reproduced, I want just receive only one mail for this alarm, I don't want only this alarm returns one second time. Thanks, for any response. :cry:
Graph on switches are not displayed
Hello, I am using Opmanger 7.0 (Build 7002) to monitor my switches. I can see the switches and the snmp string is good. Error packets are recorded. If I look at traffic analysis ther is data (time intraffic outtraffic) But the graph is not displayed (red cross) In the interfaces list Rx Traffic and Tx Traffic Errors are NA If I look at another switch some graphs are displayed some are not. What should I do to trouble shoot this? Skipper (NL)
SNMP queries not working
Hi Just installed the free version of OpManager on Linux. I got it to detect the machines on our network and added 10 of them to monitor. I am unable to get the s/w to report on the performance through SNMP To isolate the issue, I ran the LinuxAgent from Adventnet on one machine with 8001 port option. I then tried to query from the OpManager ( Setting the port to 8001 through the admin->SNMP Parameters form ) It doesnt connect. switch reporting critical errors constantly
I'm trying to configure all my equipment into opmanager and a strange thing happened when I started doing my switches. They are HP 4108's and everytime someone turns off a computer or disconnects from the network I get a critical error that a interface is down. I could see this being important on a router, but this is common on a switch. In the Log on the switch itself nothing is listing as a error so why would its be reporting it as a critical error, and how do I get around it. I like to see green
Trial teething troubles
We are running a trial of Opmanager and have a few queries 1. I have set up some business views but when I hover over the links I get the a pop up "No interface object associated with this link" What does it mean and how can I resolve it to show link information and details. 2. SNMP fails - OID implemented into the MIB
This product looks sweet - but I'm just having a difficult time getting it to work over SNMP with my Windows 2000/3 servers and custom MIBs from Dell. If I discover a device with WMI it reports processor, disk and memory statistics without issue. However if I try and use SNMP nothing works. If I open up the MIB browser and send a request that fails also. Driving me crazy! Of course my community string is the same in the SNMP agent service on Windows as it is in OpManager. OpManager and SQL 2005
Hello, Having some difficulty with OpManager's SQL Services and SQL 2005. I can add the pertinent SQL 2005 monitors with no issue, but all statistics show N/A and after a period of time the device snapshot page appears to drop the monitor(s) completely. I've tried removing and rediscovering the server to no avail. SNMP and WMI are both working correctly on the machine. Having no issues monitoring a SQL 2000 server on the same subnet. Any help would be appreciated.
Mailflow Checking
We have 1 Mail Gateway Spam and Viruschecking Server in the DMZ and 1 Exchange Frontend Server and also one Exchange Backend Server. Now we monitor the Mail Traffic over this Servers every 5 min. We have a Tool for this Process. This Tool send automatically a E-Mail to a ext. E-Mail Account. This Account replays the e-mail automatically to our Mail Server. Our Monitoring Tool checks if the E-mail is arrived or not. It's possible to check the E-Mail Traffic also with OpManager Msp. Ed.?

Hello, I have been trying out OpManager, Event Log Analyzer, and Application Manager, trying to see which one will be the best fit. I am having a hard time locating the event logs in app manager and op manager, what screen do they show up on? I have enabled windows event logs, and have rules set, but no logs are being collected, and i'm not sure if I am looking in the right place. thanks

Probes Missing?
Hi The Probe page on my MSP 6 install is empty. The probes are in the conf\probes directory and show against the customer in the custormer page but do not show on the Probe page
