OpManager 64bit optimization?
What are the plans to have a 64bit version of OpManager? I would like to take advantage of the 64bit processors my OpManager server has and right now I have to run the 32bit Redhat 4 load.

Hi, We are using Opmanager MSP adition downloaded for 1 month trial. Build 6004. We are planning to monitor one of our remote location say "X". I have installed central server at my NOC area. I will b installing Probe at remote location "X" I have firewalls , proxies at both location NOC ( certral server) as well as Location "X". Now can you please help me 1. What are the ports need to be opened in firewall/proxies in both the locations NOC and "X". 2. Please mention TCP and UPD ports and Direction

OpManager unable to fetch device info from ServiceDesk 6, this is the message I receive and I have ServiceDesk setup within OpManager correctly. Unable to fetch Hardware Details from ServiceDeskPlus. Utilization graphs no longer showing data
I am currently running OpManager 7.0, build 7021. OpManager has stopped showing any data under the Servers tab for Top-N CPU utilization, Top-N Memory Utilization, and Top-N Disk utilization.

Monitoring distributed networks
My company services a number of servers for various customers, and would like to do the monitoring from our own server. Hi all, I have a setup running with OpManager 7010 and some devices. Now a question rises up: Scenario given: Internet cloud - Router - Server behind Router The Server is configured to send an alarm, if poll is missed 3 times. Also the dependency lies on the Router. This setup is working fine. The only problem is, if the Router is down, the Server doesn�t send it�s typical "Down" message (which is ok), but the URL and service monitor does! possible false Error rate alarms on iterfaces
Hi, I'm getting some strange behaviour with error rate alarms. OpManager keeps reporting that some of our routers have an error rate of 100%, yet when I look into the stats of the interface, there is no errors of this magnitude. Any idea why it is reporting these, when it desn't seem to record anything matching in the DB? I have highlighted the Max error rate recorded of 0.14. See attached screen shots. Thanks, Tom
Creating a new device template with a new vendor
I've just created a new device template for an Ironport C100 appliance. All went well until after I submitted. I then realised that it did not save the new vendor I created (I did hit save after entering the vendor name) - it defaulted back to 3Com. I now can't delete the device template, nor can I edit the vendor. Help!

We are interested in look at this but unable to find out how to get this feature within the new OpManager 7023 release. The Admin page doesn't indicate

Where can I find documenation on how to customize the graphs showing on the snapshot page? I want to change the Disk Utilization to have a separate graph for each partition. Different servers will have different partitions.

intergration with professional services automation
Are there any plans for opmanager to integrate with third-party PSA tools such as Connectwise or Autotask? Many other MSP platforms already integrate, and this would add the ability for MSPs to better manage their customers.
starting client
I have installed opManager on two machines. One is a xp x64 which there were absolutlely no problems. It load up and works perfect. The problem is that the xp pro i loaded it on has some real issues. First off the server shows started in the service panel, but the client won't start. Either it shows the page is unavailable (error 404) or it shows a certificate error then the 404 error. I can work around all this by physically going to the \bin file starting the server which shows up in the command
Cannot start OpManger on Sbs 2003
I've installed OpManager trial version on Windows Small Business Server 2003, using MySQL and running OpManager as a service but when I try to open the shortcut that is created on the desktop I get the following error: WebServer port xxx is occupied. Change the port by executing bin/ChangeWebServer script. I tried changing the port but I still get the same error. When I try to access OpManager with IE I get an Internal Server error 500. Any ideas on what I could of missed or need to do next? Thanks
Running OpManager on Server with another Tomcat Installation
Hi All, I'm trying to install the 30 day trial version of OpManager on a server which also runs a development version of another application (Blackboard) which utilises its own custom Tomcat install. The problem I get is that only one of the two applications will work at the same time. Setup monitoring of Dell PowerEdge disk array
I had to hunt for a while to get this monitor working as I'm a SNMP n00b. I thought I would share it with the rest of the n00bs out there. First thing you have to do is install Dell Server Administrator on the server you want to monitor. There should be a short-cut on the server desktop to install this, but if not you can get if off the resource disks that came with the system or off the Dell web site. Remove Domain Controller
Hi all, We have Opmanager version 7 without the AD option and Opmanager has created discovered the Domain Controller which is fine, however we have now changed on of our subnets and I'm unable to change the IP or delete the DC because we have not get the AD option installed. Unable to add active interfaces on managed switch
Hi I am using build 7020 to monitor a number of switches, all using SNMP v2 credentials. On one switch, even though on 'rediscovery' all ports are discovered, when I try and add them to the monitor, they are not added. I am only left with 3 interfaces. Even those remaining interfaces do not show the interface descriptions as set on the switch. Please can someone offer some advice / assistance. Thanks Dave C
Vista Interactive Services Dialog Detection
Every time I open and log on to windows a screen pops up asking about a dialog box wanting to display but cant. I click to display and it switches to the opmanager login screen but shuts down every service. How would i stop opmanager from auto starting on windows startup. I can not find the startup in the startup group and the usual places in the registry don't stand out to disable it. If I start it from the start>programs group it appears to start correctly with out a compatability error. maybe

URL Monitors
Is OpManager good for doing only URL monitoring from an off-site location? With it being off-site, OpManager is not able to discover the hosts as I guess it would on the same network. I setup a couple of URL monitors to test, but I don't see a way to tie those to notifications as you can if you have a server that has been discovered. From what I can tell, OpManager is designed more to reside on the same network as the servers it is monitoring. So I am wondering it is really a good tool to do only

No AD store or performance information
I upgraded to build 7023 which resolves the lack of information in the AD store area. However, while this has worked for one of our DCs, the PDC still has no information here despite using the same credentials and both the SNMP and Windows credentials passing test. It also doesn't appear to be logging any performance information for the PDC.
