Hierarchically Trap-Filtering possible?
Hello, I've got a question: For exampe, If I have a trap-processors for the enterprise-oid ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9" (Cisco), can I then add a second trap-processor for the enterprise-oid ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.41.1.2.3.1" (Firewall-UDP-Request-Discarded-Trap), which is a sub-part of the first oid? In my case, I have two trap-processors, let it be "T1" and "T2: T1 - The "Cisco Configuration Management" trap processor, predefined by OPManager: Name: "Cisco Configuration Management" Generic Type: "enterpriseSpecific(6)"
Custom SNMP Trap Processors
Is it possible to create custom Trap Processors that look for a text signature in the trap message? The problem I am having is that the different SNMP events coming from my Checkpoint firewall, all have the same Enterprise OID & Varbinds. When i create a custom (v1) Processor they begin to show up as alerts (as expected) but I can't differentiate their severity or escalation path. Is there a way to differentiate these events? eg: Event1: No Trap Parser defined for received trap: Enterprise: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1

WMI with NATed addresses
Hello, We manage a number of sites some are internal addressing via a VPN and others are over the Internet and those servers are using one to one NATs. The servers we are monitoring using internal IP addresses are perfect both SNMP and WMI The servers that use one t- one NATs are fine with SNMP but not WMI When trying to connect to these servers' WMI the errors are either Access denied or The object exporter specified was not found. What can I do to deal with the NATed addresses Thank you
406 Error in URL Monitor

Can you report on the uptime of Windows services? I wish to create a service availability report - and just because the server is UP doesn't mean the services are runnning? Thanks
problem with op manager
the problem i am introduced with is about the data that is supposed to be displayed after adding a device. The thing is i am retrieving results for the traffic but not for the error or discards section. Are you able to give me any input as to why there wouldn't be any data for error or discards. Besides the fact that there could be no errors, that's why there is no graph. thanks cheers, francois
Missing Interface Data
Hi Support, What do you think should I check in our Opmanager with build no. 7205 since all our interface's data were gone? From Router, Switches, Firewall and down to the interfaces of all our monitored devices. The last thing I remember is that I've verified the Hostresource.xml since I'm having a problem with our Linux Servers on it's CPU and Hard disk Utilization(having negative% value for CPU and 900+% Hard Disk Utilization). Custom report : separate graph for disk usage ?
Hi, When you generate a custom report for server and choose "Partition Details of Device <...>", "FreeDisk Space in MB <...>", "Used Disk Space in MB <...>", ... -> all disks are dispayed on the same graph. Is it possible to display them on separate graph ? It would be also nice to be able to display graph from other server on the same custom report (multiple server selection). Best Regards, DPE
Migrate OpManager from Linux to Windows
While I would rather run OpManager on Linux it looks like I may have to move it to Microsoft Windows 2003. I need to get the netflow plugin running and while SNMP is good for monitoring Window OS's I feel like I would get more from WMI monitoring. I may also need the Exchange and AD plugin. So how hard would it be to migrate from Linux to Windows?
Problem with ESX monitoring
Hello, We have a few esx servers in our company and when i open a esx machine in OpManager, all virtual servers are listed in the summary. But a problem appears when i open some virtual servers in there, normally there comes the cpu and memory utilization but now there happens nothing. When i click on 'go to snapshot' of that server everythings apears correctly. Can anyone tell me an issue for this? Much thanks

I installed succesfully linux agent on Centos 5.2 CPU load monitor Disk space monitor Memory monitor All of them work properly when viewed from performance monitor window. From snapshot view instead I can't see anitying about CPU load. Memory and disk space snapshot views are ok. Opmanager 7.2 buoilt 7205. I'm looking for ticket translation from opmanager to ServiceDeskPlus. All is right, tickets are received by Servicedesk from Opmanager, but i can't appropriate opmanager's tickets, to a ServiceDesk technician. Values "category, priority and technicians" in opmanager "notification profiles / log a ticket" are empty. I'm interested in appropriation of ticket to a specific technician, i'm using opmanager with license, and Servicedeskplus trial version at the moment.

SNMPv3 BUG: character '%' in authentication password
Hello, I'm testing OpManager with latest service pack (build 7204) on MS SQL. I've just found some strange bahviour, probably a bug with SNMPv3 implementation. I have one Cisco 2800 Series router with SNMPv3 enabled. SNMP authentication password contains '%' character as the first and the last one (example: %something% ). When I try to enter these credentials in Credential Manager, I receive an error: Credential Name Already present. Choose different name. Then I tried to change the credential manually
Exchange addon for Opmanager
Hello, Wonder if anyone can tell me what does this parameter means?: Information store active connection count reached the threshold level. I have installed the Exchange addon for test and I am getting this threshold violated. The thresholds default is 40. Does higher values represents a real problem?
Problem with 7205 hotfix
Good afternoon, I have just upgraded Opmanager from 7100 by running the 7200 service pack without any problems and tested OK. I then stopped the services and ran the 7205 hot fix and rebooted the server. After it came up I logged in to Opmanager and got a blank screen with "ERROR!" in the top left corner and the rest of the screen blank. After some searching on your forums I then stopped services and checked that the java, apache, and mysql processes were not running. I then ran a repairdb.bat file.

Howto monitor remote SMTP when ICMP and SNMP not possible.
Hi, I use a remote mail server which I would like to monitor, i have no control over the server and it's protected with a firewall so the only incomming port awailable is 25. I read somewhere that OPManager needs SNMP og ICMP for it to be able to monitor a device but I hope I can get around this. Can I monitor only port 25 on the remote mail server? Best Regards

Can't Add Device After Removing It
Sorry if this has been posted before, search function not working for the forum when I tried. When I remove a device, it offers to allow me to add it again for monitoring, however it does not allow me to add it back in using the steps provided. Sometimes the ability to add them back returns after a day or so, but for some devices I can never add them back in by hostname or IP. Is there a workaround or fix for this?

no data available for cpu, memory and backplane utlization
hi, I am having some problems associated with the monitoring of cpu, memory and backplane utilization. I have followed all the steps displayed by the troubleshoot icon and still cant retrieve any results for these three monitors. The thing is i want to monitor a particular switch, but i need a specific MIB related to dell power connect 3248, that i can upload and then produce some data for CPU, memory and backplane utilization. please reply asap thanks, cheers, francois
Switch Port Mapper Does not function properly
I believe I have added the correct MIBS however all I get when trying to map ports in Switch Port Mapper are either �Data not Available Please Try Again After some time� Or a list of ports but nothing under Vlan , MAC Address or IP Address and DNS. When querying the same devices using the MibBrowser in the bin directory I correctly receive a list of MAC addresses. I have already e-mailed 'support@opmanager.com' (Jan 5th), but have not received a reply, I am therefore turning to the wonderful folks
NonPaged Pool Custom Monitor
I am attempting to create my first Custom WMI monitor... My VB script works fine when run by itself but OpManager isn't showing any values when it runs the query. One device - two IPs
We have devices which can be visible under two IP addresses let say 10.10.12.5 and 10.10.13.5. Is that possible to pool the device on both IP addresses and report unavailability only if both IPs are down?

False 'Service Down' Alarms
Hi. I just installed and got this thing going this morning. I configured about 5 servers to be monitored. All of them are displaying as 'Service Down' for the Echo service. This is very odd, because they certainly are not down; when I ping them, they all respond just fine. I've already seen the advice to edit the ping.properties file or whatever it was - to increase the number of attempts and retries or whatever, and I did that, but = no change. Any ideas? steven
Incorrect status and statitistics reported on some interface
I am trying to monitor an IBM switch (OEM from DLINK) and for some reason OpManager appears to be incorrectly parsing the iftable. I have attached a walk of the iftable as well as a screen capture from OpManager. I don't know if this is relevant, but I saw this when we were running build 7102. I then performed the updates and restarts as described to update to build 7205. The issue is most obvious at ifindex 16 and .17. OpManager shows the port 16 to be down and not passing traffic.
