SNMPv3 BUG: character '%' in authentication password
Hello,
I'm testing OpManager with latest service pack (build 7204) on MS SQL.
I've just found some strange bahviour, probably a bug with SNMPv3 implementation.
I have one Cisco 2800 Series router with SNMPv3 enabled. SNMP authentication password contains '%' character as the first and the last one (example: %something% ).
When I try to enter these credentials in Credential Manager, I receive an error: Credential Name Already present. Choose different name.
Then I tried to change the credential manually in the SNMPV3CREDENTIALDETAILS table. But unfortunatelly that did not help. Device returns SMTP login failed when I tried to verify credentials.
I suppose this is something with interpreting % character inside queries to SQL server. Anyway, it works perfectly well when community string cotains also % for SNMPv1/2.
Any help from development team would be greatly appraciated!
best regards,
Adam
