Country/Region field - Drop Down Error
Hi On the Self Update Layout when i change the Country/Region field from a single line to drop down the users gets the following error when trying to update their details. Error Code - 80072014 : Data updation unsucessful as per standards set by administrator. Please try other alternatives. On Single line I do not get this error. Any ideas?
Permission to view Requester details
After upgrading from version 8000 to 8116, when Technicians click at the Requester name to check requester details at Requests, they get: User does not have sufficient privilege. I can't find a specific permission to grant to technicians in order to allow this. Administrators can access the info. Thanks, Marcos
AD Audit Plus Build 4530 Upgrade Issue
After upgrading to AD Audit Plus Build 4530 I recieve this error when trying to modify anything in the computer lists. [Exception in:/jsp/audit/configuration/ComputersList.jsp] null Does anyone have any idea? I believe I upgraded from build 4510 Aside from trying to modify the computer lists everything else appears to be working as expected.
Add Request API assigning ticket to wrong user
I replied to my Previous Trouble Ticket, but did not get a response. So, I am posting a second ticket here. Using the sample URL to input tickets from a separate application, the ManageEngine API is assigning the ticket to the requestor ID that has authenticated to the server, and is NOT assigning the ticket to the requestor as was implied in the previous ticket. We are using Active Directory LDAP, so there are no real manage engine users, only AD users. Not sure if that affects the ticket creation
business rules - work order
I have the following problem: for example: i need a business rule when the body contains "R0001" then support rep "A" should be assigned. Then i have a secound rule when the body contains "HIGH" the priority should be set to "HIGH". Both rules can be possible in one incomming mail/request, but the businessrule-manager only takes rule1 and never rule2. How can i handle that the rulemanager always runs through all rules and not stops when the first rule is true? TX Martin

issues with IE after 4550 upgrade
after upgrade to 4550 (from 4520) I cannot click with IE 9 the different sections (tabs) inside ADSelfservice. It works with firefox. When I try to click Reports/Configuration/Admin/Support nothing happens. Same for the users. Please advise. Many thanks. Artur

Hello, after upgrading DC to version 8.0.1.14 we can't create software deployment installation TASKs from Service Desk plus(8.1.0 Build 8109). The last time I was able to fix it just regenerating the Authentication Key from Service Desk and inserting it in the admin->service desk plus setting panel. ( I followed the procedure Steps-to-Create-an-Authentication-Key-in-ServiceDesk-Plus-Console ) Am i missing something ? Could you please investigate about it? After this update we noticed that users without SDAdmin role are unable to run lots of reports. After digging this situation i found the reason of that issue. Widget : missing device - Last N hours traffic
Hello, Few of my devices (firewalls, servers, ...) are missing in the drop-down list when I want to add a widget "Last N hours traffic" in a CCTV dashboard. I have 2 fortigate firewalls configured the same way (fortigate, snmp v1). In SNAPSHOT page : both show interfaces, RX/TX, ... values (interface tab). But only 1 appear in the drop down list of CCTV Dashboard WIDGETS. 1 firewall device appears in widget but not the other: The missing one in Wigdets is this one : I already have restarted OPManager

Event ID 4625 being logged - bad username or password

We are running ServiceDesk+ 8.1.0 (build 8101) on a Windows 2008 R2 server and keep seeing Event ID 4625 logged in the Security Event Log - the account name is shown as a single Chinese (I think) character and the reason for the event is "Unknown username or bad password". This appears to be generated by E:\ManageEngine\ServiceDesk\jre\bin\java.exe Here is a screenshot of the error: Has anyone else come accross this before, or have any suggestions as to why this is happening? Unable to login to mobile client
After upgrading to 8.1 patch 7 I decided to have another look at the web based mobile client, and when I get to the Login page I can only get login if the account is tied to a domain, rather than with teh standard login where the account can be SDP local. Was this intentional , and if so when do we get mechanism to login using SDP only again for mobile client , OR have I missed something ( again ) with Mobile client. Thanks, Andy
Associate more than one change to a request v8116
I cannot seem to associate more than one change to a request. Once a single change is associated, the Associate Change button changes to View Associated Change. I would like to associate a change raised by the request. I thought I could circumvent this by creating a new (second) change first and then associating a request from the change. However, when I view ALL to associate the request, the request I would like to associate to is not in the list. Please advise. Thanks.

Stuck in maintenance mode
I set a downtime schedule a couple days ago for some maintenance we had to do on a group of servers in the Downtime Scheduler. After the maintenance window closed, I deleted the schedule so no one would enable it later. I discovered later that the servers that were listed in the schedule are still showing "On maintenance" and the Service and Windows Service Monitors are listed as down. I removed and re-added the monitors and did a rediscover/update status, but it still shows as "on maintenance".

Select Technician list is blank
Hi, we have version 8101 of Servicedesk plus with 250 techinicians. We recently changed someone's name on servicedesk via AD import and they can no longer assign to technician in the requesters page as it is blank. The person's name was changed around 2 weeks ago, they ave only just noticed this isn't working, not sure if it's coincidence! We've tried importing from AD again but this didn't fix it. I've checked the users settings against someone else on the dept and they are identical. Any help
Software will not deploy in new build
Support, upgraded to 80113 earlier. Previously working software deployment for Office 2007 now does not function. Errors such as "unable to copy installation folder to target" - account in question has full access to the network share where the package is located and is a local admin of the target server. Changing settings will even error saying the package does not have an installation string configured - of course it does. Click modify and save and it's OK so it obviously did.... Tried with local
Change Software Type From Commercial To Non-Commercial Not Working
I have some software classified as Commercial by mistake. Trying to move this to Non-Commercial now and DC says that "the selected software has been moved" but it doesnt actually do it. The software still remains in Commercial.

Issue with email requests
Good morning, We recently have implemented the ability for our end users to submit servicedesk requests via email. Unfortunately, every time someone sends an email in it somehow crashes certain functions of the system. ServiceDesk is still operational, but we stop receiving ticket requests and email notifications of any sort. Once we reboot the server all of the requests that were submitted since the email request flood into the system. Have other ServiceDesk users encountered this issue? Thank you,

Hi, I am trying to manually set the shipping and expiry dates in the Feed Custom Data for Computers section, but the date picker link doesn't open anything, and I can't type into the field as it is greyed out. In Desktop Central, configuring Power Management is under "User Configurations." Shouldn't this be under Computer Configurations? Contact notification not working all the time
Hi, we have a custom notfication message that goes out to the customer after first contact. But for some reason (and we are unable to see a pattern) a large number of customers are not being sent this message. We have this setting on: Acknowledge Contact by Email When a new request is received If I view the message conversations I see that it is a problem with Support Center Plus, the messages are not being generated. Is there some rule that prevents the message from being sent to certain emails?
DC isn't syncing with SD+
Using DC feature to search Warranty Expire date at manufacturer (HP) site, work well. The problem I'm having is, DC isn't syncing that information with SD+. DC recognized SD+ integration and viceversa!! (checked already) SD+: 8.1.0 Build 8114 DC: 8.0.0 Build 80101 Is Expire date a valid synching information?
"Foreing chars" in custom WMI monitor
If the host system is "localized" (russian for example) when creating custom WMI monitor and trying to obtain list of host WMI classes we get broken encoding. It seems to be that host returns UNICODE strings and OpManager represent them as non-unicode. Host system are Windows 2008 r2 Std RUS, 2003 r2 Std RUS. So it seems to be common problem for all custom WMI monitors.

Multiple Email ID's in Notification Profile not working with MS Exchange
I am using Opmanager 9 Build 9200 and I have configured a notification profile with multiple email id's. If I separate the email id's with comma, mails are not getting delivered since we are using Microsoft Exchange. I think in Microsoft Exchange we have to separate the email id's with semi colon. If I separate the email id's with semi colon I am getting the attached error while giving Test Actions. Let me know how I can resolve this.

Modify Extended Attributes using HelpDesk user
Dear all, i'm using ADManager PLUS , i have to manage Custom Attribute for ExtendedAttribute from 1 to 15 (LDAP extended Attributes). I have created them, i'm able to insert a user using these fields but when i use a Help DeskTechnician and i try to modify them using , Modify Single User function,they are always empty, how can i see these values using this kind of user ? The search on the left side of the screen does not work with I leave Default Search as the sub module. It works fine if I change the sub module but I need to be able to search the details of tickets.
Worklog to parent ticket
hi guys, Currently we starting to test adding worklog to a ticket with the associated cost per hour. The specialist with whom we are testing only gets request from other specialist. So all his requests are linked to a parent request. The problem we have is that even though when he adds the worklog to his request and checks the box " add to linked request " it is not being added to the parent request hence all cost is translated to the other specialist and not the customer any help will be appreciated
