IPv6 and Wake on LAN
Using Desktop Central with Windows 7 Pro client PCs. I'm having a problem with the Wake on LAN feature. It appears that DC is detecting both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses of the PCs, and displays them both on the WOL page. The "Broadcast address" is left blank. When trying to wake a PC the resultant error message is "IP, MAC or Broadcast entry not valid". I can manually change the IP address, deleting the IPv6 address in DC, and adding the broadcast address, and then it will wake the PC. However,
Unable to set ticket status to Resolved
Hi, On changing a ticket's status from Open to Resolved and then selecting Update Request, we receive: FAILURE :Exception occurred while performing the operation. This is regardless of the technician used. The service has been restarted. The server has been rebooted. The latest hotfix has been applied. Contact email entered in request
Hi, One small issue that has been bothering me that i hope you can fix... When i click on "add new"-->"Request" and enter the email of a contact that already exists the contact name is fetched and the contact input is populated and that is the way it should be ...... but ....... the account input is not populated. I have bypasses this by giving the contact input focus and use the "TAB" button on the keyboard to remove the focus from that input then the account input gets it correct value. Now other
Service Catalog Form LOST
Made an edit to a Service Catalog "Service" and it then dissappeared (version 8.2.0 build 8208). So I went to recreate it, but claims that a template already exists by the name. So it would appear to be int he system, but can't be displayed. (And no it is not a grayed out disabled item.) How do I find and get it back? -Les
Mail fetch not working anymore
Hi, Our ServiceDeskPlus application has always fetched mails without any problems, but suddenly since a few days it stopped working. We investigated what might be causing the issue, but were unable to find out so far. The strange thing is, that at times the fetching does seem to pick up the mails for a few moments, but then suddenly stops working again. History of Assets no longer displaying "Site"
Hi, For non-Workstation assets in ServiceDeskPlus OnDemand, we are finding that when we set the state to "In Use" and select a Department / Site combination, the history tab for the asset only mentions the department and does not mention the site. e.g. - see below- this example is off one of our printers. report export encoding problem
when we make report "Event detail for...." we have correct page with russian text, but when we press button export to PDF or CSV we have not correct messages in this report(after export). Russian characters are displayed incorrectly, for the letters we get "????? ?? ?????" how we can fix it ?
Two unrelated problems
Hi, One of my IT users is reporting two separate problems with ServiceDesk Plus (8208). Firstly when she replies to calls the reply is pre-filled with HTML (fonts, images, text from the thread). I have tested this myself, when I log in and reply to the same request HTML appears but then immediately disappears. Secondly, this particular user is logging time against each call but this is not showing in the daily or weekly reports that we run. I can only assume this is because some calls are not resolved
Requests randomly deleted
Hello, We have had a few requests recently being randomly deleted when technicians are working on them. Once technician was writing a reply and clicked 'Send' on to be told that the request had been successfully deleted. After checking the logs it does state that the technician deleted the call but he had not. There have also been a number of other occurrences of this with technicians completing other things. We have not been able to replicate this and have no system logs from when this
BUG: IP Address rolls back on device that has had its IP Changed when the device goes offline.
If you change a monitored devices IP Address, then the device goes down due to a network outage hours, days, weeks or months later, the device rolls back to it's original discovered IP Address. This bug has been in effect since version 9.
Cannot run program MSRA
Recently I have been encountering the following error when I try to use remote assistance on a users PC. Cannot run program "msra.exe": CreateProcess error=740, The requested operation requires elevation I was previously able to do this and I can still do this outside of ServiceDesk by typing in msra.exe /offerra <devicename> in to the command line but I am unable to do it within ServiceDesk. I am currently running 8125 and am an administrator within ServiceDesk and also a local admin on my workstation.

Hello, I've recognized an issue with Read-Only users. At a device snapshot a Read-Only user has the abbility to "Rediscover now" the device (under "Actions" menu). If he does, all device details are reset to default (vendor, category, type, monitoring, ...). I think a Read-Only user should not be able to reset these settings. Best regards Philip
Deleting desktops from inventory should be easier
I have a Configuration that's sitting at "in progress" because of one desktop that no longer exists in AD. When I look up that desktop name in the search box, there is a check box next to it but there aren't any commands for it. And I do not see any button to delete the desktop. I know there is a way to delete them, but the search results should have an option to delete a desktop. Bullet points don't get displayed on Change requests
We're using SDP Enterprise 8200. When using the Planning and Review tabs, when you use the editor to insert a bulleted list, the bullets do not appear on the page. Also, the textareas are way too small. These should really be much larger--probably the size of the textarea I'm using to post this issue.
Converting an incident drop-down additional field to text
We created an incident additional field and have been using for several hundred requests. This drop-down contains about 20 values that will continue to grow. We have decided it would be best to simply convert it to a text field. Is is possible to convert this field to a text field WITHOUT losing all of the values already in the tickets? Thanks!

Hi - After upgrading to 8.2 build 8201, the option to reconcile workstations is no longer available. I'm following the same steps as previously (search for the workstations, select the two that I want to reconcile, and go to "Actions"), but Reconcile does not appear in the list of options. Backups Failing
Hello, The backups of our SupportCenter Plus have been failing every time for a while now, whether they are scheduled, ad-hoc, over the network, or directly to the application server. Nothing works. The ManageEngine support technicians have tried but failed in several attempts to fix this. I was wondering if any other clients have experienced a similar issue? Our database is pretty large (over 80Gb - we have around 50,000 requests). Could this be an issue? Unless other clients have larger databases
Requester "Business Impact" doesn't feed into Impact
Even though I am importing the Business Impact field through the AD Import, the users business impact doesn't affect the Requests Impact. All Requester's Business Impact types were imported into Impact, and show properly on the Requester list. Since there is no real connection between the Requester Business Impact and the Impact field I can't create correct Business Rules so that a user with a Critical Business Impact gets their request categorized correctly. How do I get this fixed?

Im currently collecting logs from 48 windows servers and 2 syslog devices using this version: Build Version : 8.5 Build Number : 8051 Service Pack : - Database : POSTGRES Build Date : Apr_25 Build Type : 64bit Language of Installation : English In 5 days the folder has grown to 114GB. PCI requires 90 days of log available at ALL times. In order to maintain this amount of data it would require 2.0TB. I need to understand is this growth is an issue or something I can expect.
Technician unable to save PO
We've reported this directly to support but have not had any response. We upgraded from 8125 to 8208 approx one week ago. One of our technicians cannot save a PO, the 'Save Purchase Order' button does not do not anything when he clicks on it. We have cleared his cache, tried in several browsers. He has the same permissions as other technicians who are able to save a PO. We're concerned that deleting him in ServiceDesk and reimporting from AD will affect his open calls and stats. Any ideas?
Asset Scan reports Office 2010 wrong Procuct Key
Hi, the last version of AE_SCAN.VBS fails to get the right P.Key of Microsoft Office 2010 (while it works correctly for Visio for example). deploying software run as 'user' still running as 'system'
Hello DC team, I am wondering why this is not working? I have created a deployment in which case I would like interaction with the desktop. I have choose to run the installer as domain admin. The issue I am running into is even in the summery it's showing correct as run as 'domain/user' on the local workstation the exe I am trying to run is running as 'system'. In this case I have to run it as admin to I get an interaction with the desktop and the user will get a pop up where to enter a password.

Hello, I publish Web application ADSelfService using a reverse Proxy. This application is now reachable using a URL with this format : https://XXX.XXX.XXX/ADSelfService/. Application is reachable but I've got a problem with js (javas script). js are placed in https://XXX.XXX.XXX/ADSelfService/js/ but ADSelsService try to access js using this URL https://XXX.XXX.XXX/js/. Last scan information not available for the workstation
I'm trying to to an asset scan for a new laptop that I put into manage engine. The firewall is off and manage engine isn't reporting that it can't see it just that it can't pull any info from it. I haven't seen any other reports of this issue so I'm unsure how to trouble shoot since manage engine can see and at least partially communicate with the laptop. Here are the screen shots of what I'm getting. I'm on build 8021. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Since several weeks AD Audit Plus does not collect event data anymore. The dberror contains the following message: [warning] changed limits: max_open_files: 2048 max_connections: 100 table_cache: 969 I do not know how to change parameters for the mysql database. I tried adding the above mentioned to the my.ini, but then mysql will not start anymore.
