Firefox 39 refusing to connect to web admin
Starting with 39 version Firefox has removed support for SSL3. IE11 did this in April. Soon there will be no modern browser to connect to EvLA management panel. I'm connecting with IE9 for now, but soon we might upgrade to IE11. Are the plans to update security of EvLA to use TLS? Can i somehow disable SSL and connect via plain http to the management panel?
Event ID 644 - Locked Out Report contains duplicate entries
We have a daily report which reports on event 644 occurences (Windows user locked out). For some reason our report contains duplicate entries for the same user. * It has the same time stamp * It is from the same source server This is an intermittent issue. Can anyone advise on why this occurs?
EventLog Analyzer manage VMware vCenter
Hello! I successfully added the vCenter server with administrator privileges and log collection status is "Success", but I'm nowhere in the interface is not found how to see these logs.
File- \\...\ManageEngine\EventLog\logs\serverout_DATE ...writing HUGE files (60GB+)
We have a log file (serverout_Date.txt) in our \eventlog\logs\ folder that is suspending server operations because it is filling the hard drive with huge amount of repeating errors. Is there a patch or fix for this?

Recently when using EventLog Analyzer, when we click on a particular service, event, count, etc. Anything that would bring up the detailed pop-out window, the pop-out window says "No Data Found". Regardless of time frame or range, same thing for everything. Reports don't work too.

Dear all, I'm facing another problem with my ELA. I've already added 58 servers in my monitoring list but now, when I try to add another one, the webpage takes a long time, then pops a message box saying: Unable to add following hosts: Duplicate:[ITMIBB00] Where ITMIBB00 is the actual servername of the host that i'm trying to add, either netbios and DNS. Event log analyzer - Unclean shutdown of previous run

EventLog Analyzer 8.5 build 8051 AD authentication is failing.

Index folder using almost 80% of disk.
The EventLog Analyzer is build number 6020. The Index folder is taking a lot of disk space and doesn't clear itself. What do we need to do. The settings are to keep 60 days data but it has kept cold indexes from August 2010 as well. Please advise asap.
Can't import logs
I am trying to import a security log from server 2008 r2 but it won't complete successfully. I either get an error message that says error displaying log message or it just stays on in progress and the date ranges are all messed up if I don't manually specify a date range. This is running on server 2008 r2. Just downloaded the trail to try it out and had no luck so far.
EventLogAanalyzer Agent issue
I am trying to get the eventlog analyzer agent to work on one of our servers in the DMZ. Here is what I have done and what is happening. 1. Tried to install client thru the web interface and it failed, this was expected because of ports not being open to the DMZ. I clicked "Download" and manually installed the agent on the server in the DMZ. NOTE: Port 8400 is open in the firewall between both the Agent machine and the EventLogAnalyzer Server. 2. ELA collects logs from server but doesn't generates reports
Dear all, I'm facing an uncorrect behaviour of my ELA (build version 6.0.0, build number 6010, SP-1.0, MySQL db). If i check on the various panels, i can see that the app is correctly collecting logs from all the configured servers but, when i click any report generation link, ELA shows me a "no data available" page. The strangest thing is that if i select a date in the past, the system produces the correct report for the selected date. But after that specified date, no reports are generated at all.
Exporting to csv does not give full log ?
Hi, i am trying to export a log to csv file for review, the log contains approx 431K lines of debug. When i try to export this to a csv it only show 20k lines of log. How can i get the full log exported, either to csv or even a raw format. Anyone with an answer quickly would be appropriately as i have 3rd party waiting to check logs. Cheers, RH

export to csv problem
Hi, i've been struggling for a very long while trying to export a custom report in csv in order to analyze it with excel or access. What tricked me was the almost unexplicable behaviour of the exporting engine, wich usually breaks some records by inserting crlf followed by some "explanatory" data, then following with the rest of the record content. Cannot start Manage Engine Event Log Analyzer service
Hi everyone, we install the program on E: disk of our Windows 2008R2 server. The disk was 10gb and after 15 days of log collection it was full. Because the server is a virtual machine, we extend the disk of other 10gb and we restart the machine. After the restart the Manage Engine Event Log Analyzer service won't start and the command prompt says "Unclean shutdown of previous run". What we can do? Kind regards Michele

Hello all, I'm experiencing a difficulty with Eventlog Analyser build 7000, I cannot keep it operational at all since the Eventlog Analyser 7.0 Service always terminates immediately upon starting. The only error information I can find is that my Eventlog records that that the service has terminated unexpectedly. Some of log messages have wrong time stamp.
Hi everybody. I have a window server 2003, run event log analyzer 6 and a linux client, run syslog-ng to forward logs to server 2k3. At the first time it run perfectly but after a while I found that there are some messages that have the time stamp approx 5 hours in the future from real time. I found a thread also has problem wit time stamp but it occur with version 5, window 2008 and all the message were affected. Any ideas about that??? Thanks
Time and Date are wrong
Hello, I have a mix of Win 2003 and Win 2008 servers. The 2003 servers are being logged in EventLog Analyzer correctly however the Win 2008 servers are not. The times and dates show in Eventlog Analyzer as approx 5 hours in the future from real time. The time on the 2008 servers are correct. Any ideas?

2003Svr stops allowing ELA host to pull logs
Recently noticed one of our 2003 Srv’s stopped responding to ELA. I’m thinking this is system specific, but thought I would run by support to see if there are any other known issues other than in documentation that I could be missing. as400 incorrect logs
Hi, I need to collect AS400 logs so I'm testing EventLog Analizer. I create the object, assigning IP, admin credential and the european date format dd/MM/yy (NOTE THIS). So, I receive some logs but there are somethings wrong: 1. I receive only logs from today at 00:00 to today at 03:11 2. I continuosly receive the same logs. AS400 collect logs problem
Hi, I'm trying to receive logs from AS400 server to ELA. I must use the european date format dd/MM/yy. This seen be a problem because I receive only a part of logs every day. Eventlogs Analyser 6 - indexes Hot and cold
Hello, We are facing some space available on our server where Eventlogs Analyser is installed. After Analysis, I discovered that there are folders called hot and cold in EventLog\server\default\indexes\, the space used by these 2 folders is very huge, avarage 1 GB per subfolder specially in hot folder. Is it possible to cleanup these folders or not ? How can I do it ? Is there within Eventlogs Analyser something to manage and maintain, clean olf folders ? Many thanks for your help. Best regards

Im currently collecting logs from 48 windows servers and 2 syslog devices using this version: Build Version : 8.5 Build Number : 8051 Service Pack : - Database : POSTGRES Build Date : Apr_25 Build Type : 64bit Language of Installation : English In 5 days the folder has grown to 114GB. PCI requires 90 days of log available at ALL times. In order to maintain this amount of data it would require 2.0TB. I need to understand is this growth is an issue or something I can expect.
sysevtcol.exe crashed after few minutes on blank installed machine with no other software installed
we are using the actual eventlog analyzer software with the 30 days test before we will buy this product but we can not run it longer then 1 hour. after that 1 hour (or after only 10-30 minutes) the program sysevtcol.exe crash and the windows error message shows that a process is crashed. only a reboot from the pc or shutdown the eventlogsoftware and restart it can solve this for next only 1 hour. we are not using any firewall (the original firewall is deactivated), backup programm or antivirus software.
ELA not starting after upgrade
Upgraded my distributed version, 2 out 3 of my servers came up. One has not, although the service is stated on the Server when i browse to the log on page i get : HTTP Status 404 - /event/index3.do type Status report message /event/index3.do description The requested resource (/event/index3.do) is not available. I have rebooted the server and restarted the service and reset on the Admin Server, still not fix. can you help please. Regards
Installation problem of event log analyzer 6.
I've a pc where is installed apache 2.2 and mysql 5.0.37-comunity-nt on Win xp sp3 machine. Apache use port 80 and mysql use port 3306 The installation program of event log analyzer terminate without error. Event Log Analyzer cannot start
Hi everyone, the evaluation period of my Event Log Analyzer installation was expired. The program automatically switch to free edition and I was able to cllect logs from 5 hosts. After a server reboot the service starts normally but if I connect to the web client I received the "page unavailable" message. If I launch the run.bat script I've got the option to insert the path of the license file (I don't have a license file for the free edition...) and the program won't start. The Windows Event Viewer
Connection with servers lost after host server reboot
We are using EventLog Analyzer 7.0.0.7000. We have only 25 licenses. Recently additional servers have been added and we have exceeded the limit (warning message was showing every time logging into web console). I have removed a few servers, so we are now back to 25 licenses in use. And everything is fine until i restart the server which is hosting EventLog Analyzer (virtual Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit, this server btw is also connected to the EventLog Analyzer).
