Distrubtion server replication times
When does the patches downloaded to the central server get replicated to distribution servers? Let's say i have an APD at 4:00pm and thee deployment window is 7:00pm to 10:00am when would the patches be replicated to the distribution server? We want to minimize the bandwidth between where our central server and the distribution servers are during the day and would like it to sync all patches to the distribution servers after 6:00pm. Desktop Central 10.0.70 Devices fail to scan through Mobile Device Mgmt
Ever since we updated to 10.0.70 we've had numerous issues but the most glaring one is the fact that our mobile devices now fail to scan on an almost daily basis. If I reboot the DC server and the forwarding server in our DMZ and then run a manual scan it seems to work just fine. I have to do this only an almost daily basis in order to keep tabs on our devices.

I have pushed agent installation task from the DC admin console & it is failed. as DC admin we used normal domain account. After that i have added that account to the target machine (agent install machine) administrator group. then installation was successful.
Current DesktopCentral package
When I went to install on my desktop this morning - the package completed successfully - but there was no evidence of Spotify anywhere on the desktop. No icons. patch approval settings
Good morning, I have an issue with the approval settings. As you can see in the screenshot, there is shown one "Not Approved" patch. But there is no patch to approve. A few days before, there where some problems to install some patches. After updating the Vulnerability DB, some patches disapeared and this issue descibed before happend. Windows Updates in Windows 10 Machines
Hello: I have applied the "Disable Windows Updates" .vbs script from Manage Engine to users within our domain. The system is reporting that is was successfully applied however users are still getting updates and the systems restarting. Any suggestions? I did open a ticket and submit the log files. 10.0.82 SOM installed status shown in red
I had an issue with an agent upgrading to 10.0.82 the update failed on the client I could not re push the agent. I had to completely delete the manage engine folder then manually download the agent and run the setup.bat file to be able to install the agent again. After this everything was working fine except that in the SOM where it says installed successfully is listed in red not black. see attached screen shot.
Completely disable Windows 10 Update

Remote control freeze's up
When connected to another PC, and trying to disconnect it freezes up and it locks up any open IE window on my PC. Only thing i can do is to use Task Manager to kill the IE session and even that sometimes doesn't work. So I have to restart my PC. This sometimes happens 2-3 times a day. This has started to happen in last 2 months only.
verifying agent is running and checked in.
We are setting up DTC to be deployed on our golden image so that when a new VM is cloned it already has the agent installed on it and once renamed the agent comes on and registers it self. My question is this. Is there a event ID or log created that the engineer building the new build has that confirms the DTC agent has spun up and checked into DTC correctly with out logging into the DTC GUI and checking SOM. We dont want the individuals building these VMs to have access to DTC it self. Make sense?
Auto assign owner for workstation
If the option "Auto assign owner for workstation (This is applicable only for Windows OS):" is set to "Assign the user who has logged in recently " is there any way to make an exception for machines that are "shared"? While for ~95% of our machines this would result in correct assignment, we have a handfull of machines that have many users that could log in, and i can't see a way to make that exception.
Symantec Endpoint Protection - warnings and exceptions
Desktop central flagged a warning saying check the SEP exceptions have been added, so I checked the exceptions and added every desktop central folder and .exe/.dll as per the knowledge base document. The agent troubleshooter still shows a warning against AV and links back to the exceptions knowledge base. I have double checked the exceptions all folders and .exe excluded from scans and realtime protection, but still get warnings about AV. So firstly does the troubleshooter just show the warning

I need to retrieve the last date a password was set for accounts on a PC. Is this possible with DC? Is there a script I can run that will obtain the information per PC and DC can pick up the results as part of its inventory process? Thanks, Mike Gerst

I have a script that runs on every server and spits out a file with data. What I am trying to is have DTC move all of these files to a central file repository on a file share. I keep running into errors and i was curious what would be the correct way to get that configured.

Update 10.0.82 quark
I recently upgraded Desktop Central from 10.0.56 to 10.0.82 and noticed that in Google Chrome, the computer details under the inventory does not display. I have tired other browsers and the information is displayed correctly. Has anyone else run into this issue? I have no issue using a different web browser, but find it odd that IE and Firefox display the content correctly. Thanks, Jason

I am currently in the process of cleaning up my companies inventory in DC. I have roughly 73 machines that the "Agent Live Status" is reading as "down", or "Unknown" However, a lot of these machines have a last contact time of that day or some other time for any given week. Post Upgrade to 10.0.70
We recently upgraded our DC Server build to 10.0.70. Everything appeared to go well, except I noticed (via our Netflow monitor) that our domain controllers started sending data to computers with the DC agent installed in increments of 73 MB throughout the day. Created By field is incorrect
While submitting a ticket using the Desktop Central icon in the system tray, almost all of the tickets are stating they were created by one specific person. Create Support File - Cannot add Client-Logfiles
I need to report a problem with several clients so i wanted to use the option "Create Support File" to directly upload my server and client logfiles. Patching highly mobile devices
Ok, I have one for you. In DTC we have a hard time patching the PD Officer tablets, they are constantly on and off the network. So much so that some patches fail and others will not install because of the failed patch. Do they have a suggestion on patching highly mobile devices. Can an Officer dock the tablet and request a scan from the device and not have to wait for the server to run its 90 minute cycle? Patch automation status lost
I am trying to use the Patch Automation feature. I scheduled a time, and my machines started to scan, although it seemed like they were going one at a time. Realizing how long it was taking, I decided to modify my configuration so it started earlier next week. After saving, however, I fully lost the in-progress patch task. We use DNS records pointed to DC server for internal domain and external. However - I have a real problem with how these alerts "look" (in Outlook 2016 etc) especially the "from" when the emails get sent from Desktop Central to an email address I have set up.
