How long is User History Saved For?
In desktop central, I can see login data for computers by the users name. Question is how long/how far back does the data go? I want to make sure I save at least 365 days worth of user detail, specially when a user logs in/logs out for a desktop for auditing purposes.

Hi I have a question regarding the software metering in DesktopCentral. I saw that there is a possibility to do software metering - but it doesn't work as I expected it to do. The first thing is I have create two different rules to test the metering - the first is for Firefox the second one is for Adobe Acrobat DC Reader - both are not showing any results in the Metering Report. office 365 updates
How does patching computers with office Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus - en-us work? would computer with this get updated automatically through APD? I have recently installed a computer with office 365 and it is not showing any missing patches. The version I have shows i am running version 1808 build 10730.20264. I see other patches under supported patches, is there something I have to do so that it finds missing patches for office 365?
Notify users which use outdated versions of software
Hallo, is there a way to automaticly notify users which use outdated versions i.e. of chrome because they never close chrome? This would be a huge help delpoying updates.
Limit Bandwidth for patch distribution
Hi all, We have about 1000 machines being managed by Desktop Central over multiple distributed offices. I am only running one Desktop Central server to push out all of these patches. When i do a mass update, our WAN links out of our main office is flooded with Desktop Central traffic. Without installing distribution servers, is there a way i can limit the bandwidth that desktop central uses to push out patches to each workstation? Cheers,

Cannot delete software package

Disable Wake On Lan
Does anyone know how to completely disable Wake On Lan? I urgently need the Desktop Central server to stop sending these packets. I've checked and disabled WOL everywhere I could think to find it, tasks, patch management, agent settings, etc. I could have missed something. Thanks all! Eric
More information: Error Message: Unknown error code 1030
Is there any more information on this error code? I have a handful of machines that aren't getting particular patches, that generate this error code. However, those particular patches are installing on other computers (same make/model/specs) as the ones that are failing. The machines that are taking said patches have the same internal configurations as those that are failing to install the patch. The provided *KB doesn't provide a lot of information to help resolve the issue.

DC-Server Web console starts on login
Hello, It seems I have a bug since the build 323, although I uncheck the "Start Web Console on Service Startup" on the tray icon of the DC-server, I keep have the web console opening on logon. I see in the registry (HKLM) that the setting is not set when unchecked, and is visible when checked. I updated to build 342 today, no change. Is there a way (another registry setting I don't know) to prevent the web console to open on logon? Thanks. Sylvain

I have about 140 Laptops/Tablets in the field. Many of them have not connected to the corporate network in quite some time. I have the install in a ZIP that is accessible from our corporate website. Hi, I've been struggling with getting Desktop Central to use the correct IP address on the machine it's installed on. It also runs VirtualBox so it has an interface for that and Desktop Central want to use that IP as the address it starts on on the real interface address. Hi, I have just recently decided to give Desktop Central a try - but I am already failing in adding at least one client. Maybe I am just doing something fundamentally wrong: - I added the client using the SoM page - using its fully qualified name (note: I am not running MS Active-Directory, my client PCs are not part of a Windows domain - i thus just added their workgroup). copy and replace file using file configuration
I have a file i need to replace on computer that are outside the network. When I use the File Folder Operation (Computer) I do not see any option when copying to replace the file. The file I am copying is the same name as a current file in the location. If I do delete file and then add more file / folder and hit the copy radio button it will not let me select copy using http. Architecture to Inventory
Have a structure to your inventory of computers that mimics AD or can be customized. You can filter by group but only static group but not dynamic group. Even filtering by dynamic group would be helpful.
Windows 10 hardware inventory not working
Hello, I've deployed DC in customer's environment. AD 2016 with couple of Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops. Deployment went well. Patch inventory works well on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers, but hardware inventory does not work on Windows 10. Troubleshooting on Windows 10 computers shows only warning regarding Defender AV. But Defender was disabled in GPO. I have no idea how to make the hardware inventory to work.... Patch Management Reboot Schedule
I'm looking for a way to schedule a reboot from patch management, I can only see an option to force a shutdown immediately, do not disturb if logged in or allow users to postpone. None of these options are what I require. From what I understand you can only schedule a forced reboot from the "Tools" menu, which takes me away from the patch management section which conveniently shows me all devices that need a reboot. old patches showing up as missing
All the sudden today I have some pc showing old patches from last year. Most are Security Only Quality Update for Windows 7 for x64. Not all windows 7 pc are showing missing only some. Formerly I had "one" patch deployment schedule working for weekends. Machines which were not reachable, due to being shut down, or mobile workstations, would patch as soon as they were turned on, or connected via VPN, as soon as they connected to our DTC server.
