Hi, I recently implemented AppMgr in my environment. However, I'm finding difficulties with the following (specific to esxi monitoring): 1. AppMgr will monitor all VMs automatically once you add a new host. This is causing a problem, as it discovers all, even the powered off machines ( I have several machines for testing, and others when cloning a vm). 2. I'm attempting to create a MSSQL monitor for a named SQL Server instance, using SQL Server Authentication. The 'Test Credential' button returns a cryptic 'Failed. am.mssql.databaseserver.config' error. I have numerous other SQL Server monitors that I've configured successfully using identical methods. Cannot find a clue what the issue is by checking SQL Server Error or Windows Event logs. I also checked the Appmanager stderr logs - I do see the following error messages immediately after testing

App manager isn't taking my username and password
Hello, I just installed the app manager to go along with OpManager. After installation, when I select the APPS tag, it prompts me for a username and password. I put it in but it keeps saying it's invalid. Can someone please tell me why it keeps doing that?
Unable to generate Trend Analysis reports
Hi, I am evaluating the AppManager for VMware monitoring. While generating Trend Analysis reports for ESX hosts I am getting below mentioned error. Exception occurred while generating reports,Refer logs/stdout.txt for more Information. Update HostName or IPAddress of a monitor in ManageEngine-Applications Manager
Hi, Following is the procedure when IP or host-name changes for any monitored host : (Do not delete and re-add the monitor. Instead update the change to the existing monitor) If new IP/Hostname resolves correctly then there shouldn't be issues with updating the same. Windows Process Monitor Availability
I am using a Windows monitor to monittor resources on a Windows 2008 server. I have enabled a few processes to monitor as well. One process in particular does not run on the server 24/7. This process runs only at certain occasions. Incorrect IP Address on Monitor
We have an IIS monitor setup that constantly shows that the resource is down. The hostname displays the incorrect IP address. Next to that in parentheses is the correct IP. I have tried deleting the monitor and recreating it and it still shows the wrong IP and that the monitor is down. We have a windows monitor setup for the same host and there are no problems with the IP address for that. Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Total allocated bytes show wrong values from oracle tablespace monitoring
We are testing Application Manager and some of our oracle tablespace monitoring is showing wrong values for Total Allocated Bytes. Below is the image of a problem monitor. See the users tablespace is showing 32,767 Allocated Bytes and only 640 Allocated Blocks(that is the correct size of tablespace 5Mb).

I've configured Monitors and created actions and threshold profiles in one of my machines, Applications Manager 11 build 11210 with MySQL on ws2003 32 bit. Is there a way to export this data (alarms, monitors & threshold profiles) to some file, which can then be imported onto another application manager in a new server with Applications Manager 11 with pgsql on ws2008 r2(64bit)?

Hi everyone, I have an issue with a ESX server, this server is discovered by app manager, but it missed one virtual machine, even I tried so many times to rediscover the ESX server but nothing happens. The missed machine is up and running, actually it is monitored at op manager, so this is weird because is not possible that the monitoring is working for it in op manager but app manager not. Restore monitor's data when change date on the APM server.
Hi again, We made a mistake changing the date to october instead september (really sorry) and fit soon but and now graphs does not show properly data showing October as the last date. Is any way to delete data on graphs or other way to restore data as before. Thanks regards Israel.

migration to v11 with mysql database
we have problems migrating to v11... up yet we are using a mysql database but in v11 you must select postgreesql or mysqlserver. When whe try to restore the mysql database the aplication crashs... is there any way to migrate the database mysql to v11? regards!

Hi, I want to set the threshold in such a way that say for example the value of an attribute (messagecount) is 100 and after 2-3 polling intervals, if the value is still the same, then send alert coz no new messages have come, something is wrong. AppManager won't start
After a reboot over the weekend to install windows patches, Applications Manager will not start. I can't see anything in the log files, and subsequent attempt to start the screen has stuck at "Initializing Server". Event log contains multiple entries from "Interactive Service detection stating "As device or application has requested attention. Please Please Please Fix IP Update
The only way an IP update works is via the command line and an applications manager restart. using the update ip action via the GUI does not work This has been going on for years with no fix. There is no point why you cannot do both of the following A) Have a setting to NOT CACHE hostnames so you can easily just update the dns w/ new ips B) update the IP of a server via the GUI Since we run on AWS our IP's change constantly and has become so laborious and error prone of updating IP's applications
Console AppManager is not refresh
Hi all, I'm currently implementing a company AppManager 11. We have 1 Console and 4 nodes or managed servers. For example one node shows a drop but then is up. However, the console does not update this information and continues to "red". Could you help me or give me some tips why not update.
