Not able to switch to secondary Mail Server when the primary mail server is down.
Hi I've configured my secondary mail server to function as backup server. So that when the primary mail server is down, secondary mail server will take over. However, it doesn't work. Monitors stopped showing data
Recently, after running appmanager for several months, some monitors are now not showing any data. It was limited to Windows clients but now Tomcat clients are also a problem. After running "poll now" all is well again - but after a few days the problem will reoccur. Do you have a fix? Many thanks, Daniel.

Windows monitor account gets locked out
A problem started yesterday where the account used to monitor Windows servers via WMI keeps getting locked out. There is no other application using this account, only Applications Manager. I figured that it might be a problem with the AD account, so I created a new one this morning and started changing credentials. Everything was going well. AppManager is scanning subnet 192.168.9.0/24 which is generating many alerts. Could you please help me in stopping the scanning alerts ?
Proxyserver user account locked --> all server resources are eaten up
Hello, I am monitoring some URL's on external servers. To do so i configured a user account / passwd for my proxyserver. When this user account get blocked for whatever reason, these monitors will fail. That quite logic ;o) However, when this happens all server resources are being consumed. The application hardly responses, an all other monitors are slowed down into the extreme. Does anyone not how to prevent this? Might this be a bug? Kind Regards, Eric Bolderink
AppManager - alerting down network interfaces
Hello, We seem to have an issue with alerting when a network interface is down. When we pull a plug on an interface, AppManager shows the interface as down - but we can't seem to generate an alarm or an action from this. When configuring alarms from the interface, we only get the option of health and utilisation. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Many thanks, Daniel.
Applications Manager 11 (build 11030) and Server Process Templates/Service Templates
Hi, we've been using the Server Process Templates and Service Templates when monitoring specific processes and services for our Windows servers (both physical servers and hyper-v servers). After the upgrade to version 11, we can only see some of our physical servers, and no hyper-v servers, when adding new processes. We have the same problem when adding new services. We are running Windows server 2008, Windows server 2008 R2 and Windows server 2012. Any suggestions?

Oracle Tablespace - Used bytes - wrong value

Hi i want to monitor my oracle database but when i add it i get this error Unable to connect to Oracle Server. Replace the \working\classes\classes12.zip file from Applications Manager Home with \jdbc\lib\classes12.zip file present in Oracle Installation Home. Then restart the Applications Manager server and try to create oracle monitor again. Hi I recently downloaded App Manager to monitor a MY SQL Server instance. It is working great! now I want to customise app manager so that I can use it to prepare customise reports at my convenience. I want to do is: 1) I want to specify a time eg- 12oct12 startime=11AM entime=12 Pm generate reports on all the attributes available for MY SQL Server. Hi, I would like to generate availability percentage report only for business hours. However i can't find any drag down option for business hours alone. I have some scheduled reports created in App Manager 11 Enterprise edition but they are not executing at the scheduled times. Is there something that can be done to fix? Does AppMan need to runa as a service?
Application Manager 11 cannot discover some AIX servers
Hi all, I've just installed Application Manager 11 to monitor several AIX servers. I've encountered the error "Discovery failed for the configured resource.Refer our troubleshooting section for more details" when I 've tried adding some of my servers to monitor. Strange that several AIX servers work fine with AppManager 11, some don't. They are all AIX 5.3, monitored via telnet. Consider the AIX server that cannot be added to AppMan11 is 10.228.13.4. Monitor shows wrong severity
Hi, I setup a monitor for a WebShere cluster in ME Applications Manager 11, consisting of 4 application servers. Although all application servers are shown as green for health and availability, the monitor itself is shown in red. I already added that monitor again with same result. Setting up ESXi monitor fails
When I try to setup an ESXi monitor for either of our two ESXi hosts it never works and always immediately returns: Please crosscheck whether 1). Host server is running properly 2). Host server port is accessible. If the server is behind firewall and if not accessible, then open the port by configuring firewall. Is there anything I have to do on the ESXi host itself? Sorting Bulk Configuration View By Health Only Sors within the page that is currently selected
It looks like Application Manager is only sorting within the current page of paged lists. This is not very helpful when wanting to sort all monitors in the bulk configuration view by their health. Sorting of paged lists of web pages typically sort all content page the results appropriately.
Application Manager 11 doesn't show Threshold Profile
I can't manage threshold profile (Threshold Details isn't shown) after install Application Manager 11 with SQL 2012 (With TCP/IP mode) but with Application Manager 10, It works. Could you please help to check this? Thank you
WMI Monitoring on localhost ?
Hello, is it possible to access WMI on the localhost (i.e. the Windows System on which AppManager is installed) ? If I try to access it using an admin local acount, I get the 80041064 error, which seems to be normal, regarding the microsoft WMI security policy. While creating a new Server monitor, it's not possible to leave user and/or password fields blank, which is required to access WMI locally. Regards. Carl

Monitoring HP server hardware SNMP/WMI
We are using AppMan ver 10 (10900) and we need to monitor the actual HP server hardware. For this purpose we've enabled SNMP on the server, installed the HP agents and run a discover using SNMP. This works just fine. Our problem now is that we can't monitor Windows services, just Windows processes. Any suggestions? Thanks.

AppManager show more Interfaces or interfaces down
hi 1- we use app manager to monitor 30 win server that all are remote in separate networks. in "Availability & Health Status - Multiple Monitors" widget we see some Critical alert that interface is down. Like this: "Interface broadcom BCM5709C netxterm II GigE(NDIS VBD client) #2-Qos packet scheduler 0000 is removed" while non of servers manipulated. 2- we use SNMP mode monitoring for this servers. but when we see "Interfaces" tab in each monitor page it show about 20 interface!
URL monitor fails on "accept cookies" request
Hi all, I am having troubles creating URL monitors on URL's that stat with some sort of pop-up bar, notifiing that this site uses cookies, and asking me if this is alright. After clicking on the accept button, the bar dissapears, and i can continue. My url monitor is on defaults, meening error if response > 200 I have also tried to build a ulr sequense for this, also negatief. Hi, I worked with the Application Manager 9.4 and after I update to service pack 10.3 and service pack 10.5 updates then I would work properly. After 6 months I had to replace the OS after re-install the Application Manager 9.4 and got back up again and restored the service pack 10.5 did after I update to service pack 10.3 directly I've updated the service pack 10.9, because I did not find the service pack 10.5.
