I am monitoring some URL's on external servers.
To do so i configured a user account / passwd for my proxyserver.

When this user account get blocked for whatever reason, these monitors will fail. That quite logic ;o)
However, when this happens all server resources are being consumed.
The application hardly responses, an all other monitors are slowed down into the extreme.
