I am using a Windows monitor to monittor resources on a Windows 2008 server. I have enabled a few processes to monitor as well. One process in particular does not run on the server 24/7. This process runs only at certain occasions. I would like to monitor the CPU and memory utilization of this process when it does run but find that when adding it to the process monitoring I am receiving alerts due to it not being avilable.
I have tried going into the advance settings and setting "Poll times consecutive before reporting monitor is down". This field only accepts two characters, therefore the max value I can place in here is 99. This is not enough in my situation.
Is there a wildcard value which can be placed in the above mentioned field? Is there a way to turn off the availability feature of process monitors or is there another monitor which might better suite my need?
