domain scan i V5
I can't get the domain scan to work in v5, this is just xp2 sp2 computers. If I install the v4 it works fine, I have changed the "Allow remote administration exception" Like a say, it works in v4 but not in v5. If I turn the firewall off in the xp computers it works, but this is not an option. Any Idea`? Regards Daniel
use of company logo
in the settings panel of admin tools, it is possible to import and use a company graphic for the login page... I downloaded a temporary image to see how it looked and now I am trying to replace that with our modified logo designed to fit the size limitations.... I go through the steps, locate the file and click import, the screen refreshes and the image does not change I am running a 5 tech registered version of SD+5 thanks

Would like to know can this application be ran in a DMZ Environment where I have several different clients that will need to input there helpdesk/service request online. All the clients are located on different networks. Basically does this application have to be loaded locally on the network can it sit outside the network and still receive request from outside clients.

Hi, is there any view for the future for the possibility of having a system of clocking PCs in and out, for example: people going on mission and that borrow a laptop or projector for a determined amount of time stated when the request was placed. and some sort of compatability with a barcode reader for inserting S/N and also for clocking in and out or searching the inventory DB. unable to start SDP

Feature Suggestion: highlight updated tickets
It would be useful to have some way to know when a ticket has been updated. Currently with the version we are using (4) if a user responds to an email in order to update the ticket, we don't know they have updated it unless we go in and look at the ticket, which can be a problem when there are many tickets! Deleting software
I am wondering if it is at all possible to delete software that is not being used by any machines when service desk says that it cannot delete it. For example, I uninstalled a program on one of our systems, then service desk says 0 computers have it installed but wont let me delete it from the list. Thanks

Open Requests layout
Is there a way (or will there be a way) to change the way the Open Requests is laid out. Currently you get Title, Requester Name, Assigned to, DueBy, Status, and Date. I'd like to be able to add the Location or any other heading and/or remove other headings. Is this possible, or will it be possible in a future release?
add attachements to existing jobs
Hello I was wondering if there is a way of attaching files to open jobs. I have looked at adding attachments through the add notes screen. Screen shots are not always available at time of logging the job and it would be really handy if we could have the ability to do this after a job is oppened. cheers.

Was wondering how to modify the list of departments shown under the Assigned To category under the Inventory feature. Appears to be multiple listings of departments showing when assigning scanned systems.

Hi, I was wondering if you were ever going to think of implementing some sort of interoperability between SD+ and AD meaning you would be able to update all user info via SD+ and it would reflect in AD and vice versa. Service Desk integration with O.M. in DMZ
Hi, I would like to run with Service Desk in my DMZ so my remote users can access it to create tickets etc. But I would like to integrate it with OPManager which sits inside my network, because a firewall separates both and I don't want to open up ports into my network how can I do this? Cannot add the link for OpManager in SD+ 5
I have upgraded the SD+ to v5, but I cannot found the Add-On page which mentioned in v4's manual. and I cannot configure OpManger 5.6 to connect SD+ v5. I have checked the server IP, username & Password for a few times already. Would it be possible to show the full sub category path in reports. Example: we have a category [ Software ] sub category [ Trial ]. When we produce the report only Trial is shown as the category which is not stricly correct. Rgds Damian

Add Notes
It would be really great if we could add attachments to notes on a requests. We tend to use the notes as on going update of the request. Sometime I need to pass information to the requester of the technician involved and this would be and ideal way of sending those details. Any chance you could add this to your evergrowing list... many thanks
How to scan child level OU in AD
Hi, My organization has forest level AD. In that we have tree with region name and OU with country name and then we have OU with unit level. But when I mention my regional level OU it only display the object belongs to it. It doesnot so the Child OU. When I try to scan by giving child OU it gives error. Ou domain scan fails with general failure error
When I try to scan computers from domain, I get general failure error in domain scan wizard. This error is present when I put domain controller name in settings page. Account is Administrator account with all rights. If I don't put DC name, I will get list of all computers without any problem, the domain wizard will not even start. Hi, I'm in evaluating the product for my organization, though application seems to be very mature and performance is too good. I've only concern if my machine get crash and as per provided tool , i've the backup ( Dat file), how can i use back the same old setting with my newly installed computer. v5. Summary Reports
For testing I had made 2 requests today. From me to me. Both have closed status. All reports from "summary reports" section shows ... nothing... Table view is correct. Rows is correst, columns is correct, but each data cell shows "-". All other reports works fine.

How do you you access the program from a workstation?
This is a silly question, but forgive me as I am not used to web based applications. I have installed the trial version and am extremely impressed with the product. So much so that we are purchasing it in the next week or so. My problem is that I have installed the application onto one of my Windows 2003 servers and it runs perfect on the server. If I try and access it from a workstation it gives me the login screen but then comes up with HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /homepage was requested I know
unable to view mysql tables
Hi, As i was thinking build another application using the data that resides in the current mysql database (which in my case is this path C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\mysql\data\) in SD+ I have been trying to view the tables inside but it always says fields not found.. anyone know where the data is stored?
