ntlm-auth'd requestors? and nt4 domain pull/sync?
Hi,
Just setting up SD+5 so not used it properly yet - used opmanager for a while, great product!
forgive me if i'm asking stupid questions....
Is it possible to configure SD+5 to authenticate a user/requestor automagically using ntlm in my nt4 domain? Failing that, is it possible to have a requestor page that allows users who are un-authenticated to servicedesk submit requests? Maybe identifying themselves from a combo box or equiv.??
What I want to do is have a link on our intranet that users can click and be taken straight to a servicedesk submit-request page. But without having to enter a username/password.
I have 400 users in 25 sites around the UK, some of them are technophobes who would be frustrated at having yet another username/password to remember (or write down! grr!), so allowing them to just click a link on our intranet and get straight to the request page would be ideal.
Also, is it possible to pull\synchronise the requestors list with an nt4 domain rather than AD? Some of us poor folk are still stuck in the dark ages!! And i don't have time to manually add 400 users......
Appreciate any responses.
Cheers,
dji
