More departmental control
Feature request to be able to have more departmental control in V5. Specifically:
1. Departmental Announcements - Announcements can be assigned to a specific department so when the user logs in, they do not see items that do not pertain to them. An "All Department" announcement would also be needed.
2. Managers - Assign a user as a department manager. This user would be able to view all requests from their department only in the user portal.
3. Departmental Solutions - Like announcements, the ability to post solutions to a specific department or to all departments. Again, reducing the amount of data the end user sees that does not pertain to them.
4. Work Request Printing - Ability to print work requests per department for the techs when they actually go to do the work. I would think the printout would contain the request details, as well as an area for the tech to write what they did and how much time they spent on each task. The current print feature does not have a place for the techs to write. (with the exception of the free white space
)
5. Bulk email - Send bulk emails to a specific department or all departments.
6. Departmental Licenses - Ability to assign software licenses to a specific department. In our organization, if Department A has 5 Office licenses, and Department B has 10; that does not translate to the company having 15. Sad, but true.
Finally... and a little off topic...
7. Assets - The ability to import select Assets from OPManager into SD+. OPManager detects all of our assets (printers, firewalls, routers and other snmp devices) it would be nice if we did not have to manually enter all of them into SD+.
