Can't acces the loginpage
On some computers (Windows XP SP2 IE 6.0.2900) We can't acces the loginpage. When trying to access the page The Internet Explorer crash (se included file). Inventory screen refresh
Hi Is there any way to retain the advanced filter once applied? To explain a little further, I apply a filter to restrict workstation names to those beginning ROOM1, edit one of the workstations and save it. I am then returned to the inventory screen showing a preset filter of all systems. Is there a way of changing this behaviour? Regards Paul
SQL query to change categories
I have 26 different categories in ServiceDesk Plus. I would like to remove all 26 categories and replace them with 10 new categories. My plan is to add the 10 new categories, then run a SQL query to remap the old categories in requests to the new categories. For example: in my old category list, I had three different categories for printers: "Desktop printers", "Office printers", "Mobile printers". I want to have a new category just called "Printers", but I want all the previous printer requests

Form Customizer Question
Hello, I had a question about the form customizer tab. If I wanted to create something along the lines of: *item return date* as a field they can set, but only want it to pop up if they select a certain Category, would there be any way to do this? Or is there any plan in the near future to implement an idea like this? I think this would be a good way to have the ability to track more things as well as a more simplistic setup when it comes to viewing the forms. Thank you for any response. Cory

SD+ Servers management
Hi, here in the company where I'm working, we are making the last appraisals before buy SD+. We have seen that it's very good as Helpdesk, Knoledgebase, Workstation management and it's good for other things. But, it isn't useful for Servers management. We need a sheet more detailed than the Workstation's one, we need to edit all fields by hand (some Workstation's fields seems to be filled only through a scan; for example the 'Build Info' field) and we need to upload files to the Server's sheet. Problem with fetching linux servers
Well, I recently acquired the full license SD+ and don't know how to scan Linux Servers, well, I've reading some topics about the need of telnet, but still some questions on the air, here it goes: Do I need a telnetd service running in each server ? If yes, after I've installed and runned the telned service how do scan the linux box ? Errors with DomainScan with ServiceDesk Plus
Hi, when we try to scan all the clients in our domain only the client on which the applcation is intallaed and the domain server will be scanned. For the rest of the client comea a error message "�No response received from Workstation. Probably the workstation might be switched off or does not exist.� All the clients are switched on and are in the domain. Any idea?
Generic logon or password request page
We have a lot of users who forget there logins and passwords and we have them log a reset request on are helpdesk. We want to move to this program but we need users to be able to request a password reset without a login. Or maybe a page that is just for this task with a text field for there mobile number so we can SMS them there password. Can Anyone help?

duplicate requests after exchange crash
After having our exchange server crash, we moved exchange to a new server. After moving the databases over, we had to run the microsoft tools to verify the integrity of and defrag and compress the databases. We bought the server up with reasonable success. After this, any helpdesk tickets submitted by users via outlook are resent to the servicedesk every minute and with a different ticket number each time. Same goes for any verification emails to who sent the request. Tickets submitted via the web
Clearing out "Test" data
I'm currently evaluating the system for 30 days. So far so good. My question is this. Can all of the test data that I'm putting into the system be removed leaving only certain information like vendors, products, assets, etc. How easy is it to "clean up" the system after testing?

Feature Request
We are using the Category-Selection within several Reports for our invoicing and our general it-controls (you know - sox). Our Technicians are instructed to change the Category to a appropriate Entry in the List after assigning. But sometimes they miss to set the right entry and the Workorder is processed in Category 'General Requests'. Maybe you can change the Category to a mandatory field where the technician must change if the standard category 'General Request' is choosen by the business rules.
Ability to Sort by Configuration.
I would like to be able to generate reports that sort computers by CPU, Hard Drive, RAM, etc. For example, what if my company establishes a policy that all computers under 1.5 GHz are to be replaced with new computers? At this point, at least as far as I have been able to figure out, there isn't an easy way to generate such a report from within ServiceDesk Plus. David.
Problem installing and starting.
After installing this software I cannot get it to run at all. So I searched the forums and did the run.bat command. It gives me an error plus use Mysql greater than 4.1.x.x Press any button to continue. I tried to reinstall and said the same thing. I also tried to upgrade the mysql that comes with it and still same error. Also these other titles are not working either NetFlow OpManager WiFi Manager EventLog Analyzer These titles work fine. Technician Communication within ServiceDesk
We would like to see that when tickets are closed and updates are made to those tickets (ie assignment to Technician even though the ticket is already closed) that no communication is sent to the technician. There are sometimes a need to go back and QA our tickets whereby some fields have the wrong information. We don't want this information to be sent again to the technician if the issue is closed. Can't Remove Lease Date
Hello everyone, I found an interesting problem in Assets. When you assign a lease date to an assest, you can change it, you can't remove it. Even if you uncheck the option for "item is leased" Is there any way to do so? For example, we have software where were given a temporary key, that was leased. Category Not Shown in Enter Resolution View
When we are entering a resolution to a request I have found that the Category is not shown in the resolution or history tab, the category has been completed in the request view but no data is shown in the resolution or history view (as below). Just wondering if it is possible when you add extra fields in the form that you could choose where in the form it would be placed at the moment any extra fields get added to the area under Task Details Would be good considering that you have a choice of where to add the fields I have a couple of fields that I want to add to the top part of the form under Request Details

Removing Purchased Licenses
I am presently trialing this software and it seems superb, but I have accidently added to many purchased licenses to the system and wish to remove some. IE I have added 100 and it should be 70. Can this be done.

Preventative Maintenance - duplications
I am not sure if this is on the list, but could we have the ability to add multiple instances of a PM (and also the ability to create a PM from within a job request)? For example, we want to be able to schedule similar jobs to check the validity of a client's back up every month and it would be useful to be able to set one up as a template and then roll it out for each client current and future. Creatinga ticket from an SBS2003 report
Every day we get a number of SBS2003 reports coming in to us. Normally we read them and if there are any errors that need attention we create a job in SD+. It tried to email the report directly to SD+ but towards the lower part of the report (where the Critical alerts start) I got: Critical Alerts <table class="MsoN Any thoughts please? What we want to do is aim the emailed reports directly at SD and then create a spin off job from any that need attention. Thanks.
