Scanned Software
I have an instance whereby a piece of software is not being included in the scan of a particular machine. It shows up in the add/remove programs and has shown up on other machines. Does anyone know what the criteria is to have software show up in the scanned software inventory?
howto view/modify settings database filter?
I cannot find any way the modify the settings of a database filter. Am I missing something? Regards.
Howto move a host from one group to another (existing) group
It seems that we cannot move a host from one host group to another existing host group. The only way is to create a new host group and put the host(s) into the new group... Or do I miss something?
PO Orders / Backdated
I would like to backdate PO's to ealier in the year, although i see this was ment to be a feature in the new release when i try it reminds me PO's can only be of current or future date. any ideas Cheers Shane :twisted:
Alerts question : is this functionality available ?
Hello, i am using this tool to monitor several URL, and would like to receive a mail when URL is not available. However, as there may be some little network trouble, i would like to receive a mail only when testing the URL fails 2 or 3 times in a row. So here comes my question : is there any way to configure monitors/alerts in such a way that it sends a mail/SMS only in the case explained above, or not ? If yes, i would be glad if someone could explain me how to do it :) Many thanks in advance, Didier
Netflow not exporting flows

Exchange Service showing as down

When a requester emails a reply to an email the technician the Service Desk sends an email to the technician stating the request has been updated. The problem is that it does not email the correct technician. The technician that gets the General requests gets all of the update notifications. e.g. I have requests from Hardware category. bandwidth threshold alert
My apologies if this has been asked before. I am currently evaluating opmanager. Is there a way when monitoring a switch to trap a threshold on a single port to send an alert? For example, port 6 on a switch has a threshold set of 10MB, if it hits 12MB can I set up opmanager to send me a page? How is this setup?
ServiceDesk Causing CPU to go 100%

Cant login after incorrect AD settings

Deleted a network
I have deleted a network hoping to be able to re-add the same network to re-discover all the devices on this network once again. The problem that I�m having is that it will not let me add this network back as it says that it already exists but there are no devices in it any longer. Is there a way to make sure this network is deleted from the database so that I can re-discover it and all the devices as well. The devices are still present if you do an individual search on them so they have not been
Computers in domain

NetFlow Analyzer Traffic problem

Bug: File Attachments with "&"s in their name
Had an incident where a user attached a file named "M&M.doc" to a request. Unfortunately when you try to view this attachment the "&" in the name messes up the argument list that you pass to the FileDownload.jsp. For example: http://SERVERNAME/workorder/FileDownload.jsp?FILENAME=M&M.doc&module=Request&ID=7857 This causes FileDownload.jsp to search for the filename "M". Now I agree that users shouldn't be putting in "&"s into their filenames, but maybe a parser should be added to compensate for it
TCP application doesn't have port infomation
Dear support, We are testing the netfolw analyzer, we found out that under the application tab, there is one item named TCP APP, but only shows source and destination IP, no port information, so where we can find more information about the port information? Another problem is as soon as we add 3 routers and configure the IP group, I found if I click some device, there is only traffic in, the traffic out part is data is not available. Scanned software counts
I have several instances whereby the installed count does not match what is displayed when you click on the hyperlink for that piece of software. For example I have an installed count of 2 and only shows 1 machine as having it installed. Has anyone seen this behavior?
Eventlog Analyzer won't start
I can't get Eventlog analyzer to start again. It starts fine upon reboot, then stops and will not restart. The dos window scrolls too fast for me to capture errors but I can see something about "in use by another program". Please let me know how I can fix this.

Software installation of AppManager, OpManager, ServiceDesk
Is there a specific installation sequence if I will be installing all four applications - AppManager, OpManager, Firewall Analyzer, and Service Desk Plus on the same server? I would like to have just one instance of MySQL installed for all four applications versus four different instances. Thanks, Zahundas
Updating a router IP
Hi, One of our router will have its IP changed soon. Is there a way to update the IP of the router in the web interface to avoid the lost of data already collected (several months) for this device? I gave a quick look at the database and found that table NetFlow_Router contains a column named ROUTER_IP. Is it enough to update the ip address in this table if it is not possible to perform the changes trough the web interface? Thank you. Best Regards,
Problem: can not add a new attribute
Hi I've added a mib for an application I wrote to the folder "<appManHome>/working/mibs" and tried to monitor it using the snmpwalk command and it worked just fine. The application manager is on a linux RH 9 and my application is on a sun solaris machine. First I had a syntax problem. I wrote the oid without the pre dot and without the trailing dot zero (e.g "1.3.6.1.4.1.3" instead of ".1.3.6.1.4.1.3.0") but then I saw that it is working with the machine sysUpTime value so I've tried this syntax

New Alert Profile with NO "Message Contains" data
I am trying to create an new profile that will email me with any error for any windows server no matter what the error is . Based on the Add Alert Profile screen I should not need to enter "Log message contains :" because "This is Optional." I am trying to set the LogType to Any, the Severity to Error, NO message text, with the event occurring 1 time in 1 minute. Anyone have any ideas?

Failover PIX has problem with logs
We are testing the FA, and we have 2 pix 525 (6.3.3) running failover, but as soon as we configured the syslog server on the primary and saved the configuration, both pix boxes started to send logs to FA, but we found the standby PIX also has a lot of traffic coming in and going out. According to Cisco's docs, only the active pix has traffic, the standby pix only get information from the active one like NAT tables, there shouldn't be any traffic go cross the standby PIX, where is the problem?
Interface called ifIndex0 on non-snmp router?
Hi, For various reasons, I can't use SNMP with NFA for two of my routers. I've edited all the interface descriptions manually to get around this. However, there's a bit of an oddity here. In the netflow_interface table in the database, there's an interface whose snmp_description is IfIndex0 in addition to all the others. This interface doesn't show up in the web interface. The problem is that in the netflowraw_blahblahblah tables, there are rows whose dst_if references the IfIndex0 interface described
Port 8080 occupied
I am trying to run the run.bat file, and it is telling me port 8080 is occupied. Can I run Service Desk on another port? Or, how do I check to see what is occupying port 8080?
Questions about EventLog Analyzer
Are there plans for any of the following: - A better user reporting system that has at least some level of intelligence. After evaluating the software I've the only determination I've come away with is that custom reports have no way to do context-based filtering on reports. For syslog, for example, you can only create a report based on the alert level(s) and facilities. For busy mail servers, this creates a report that is basically unusable. I would like to be able to filter the events in the reporting

Failed to create monitors
I am trying to configure Applications Manager to monitor two oracle databases and two jboss servers. We are running Oracle 10.2.0.1 and JBoss 3.2.7. When I try to create the monitor (oracle or jboss), it fails but the message is simply "null". The oracle listener is running and I have verified that the user/password works by connecting using sqlplus. If I try to create the monitor with the wrong password or database sid, etc, I get an error message stating what is wrong, but when I have all of the
windows 2003 server with firewall
I can get EventLog Analyzer working on a 2003 server without firewall running. But, if I try and access a server on the same domain with the firewall running it will not authenticate. The firewall log drops ICMP 106.

Hi, I just wanted to tryout the Application Manager 6 and started it after the smooth installation routine. It shows up some "Proces: ..." messages and two things, that make me sad: WARNING : Traps cannot be received on port : 162 and Verifying connection with web server... Incorrect IP address/Duplicate devices listed
Hello, we have just changed the IP address of one of our switches, and now if I do a search, it shows me a device on either IP - although only the correct IP address is specified in both device properties. It's as if they are the same device. Also, when I click on custom reports and search for a device it shows me only one switch - Switch[wrong.ip.address.] Any ideas - thanks, Adrian.
