Exchange Service Monitor
I have an SBS 2003 box which is being looked after by OpManager but I keep getting an alarm to tell me that the Exchange Service is down. It's working perfectly fine (well to my knowledge anyway). Why may I be getting this alarm?
MIB Loading
I just recieved a .zip file with over 60+ MIB .txt files from my IP/SAN vendor (Left Hand Networks). I spent almost 2 hours loading in each individual .txt file using the MIB browser (which I might add is unbelievably frustrating since I can't seem to find a way to mass load in these mibs - AND - you have to load them in in the right order). I have multiple questions: 1. Is there an easier way to load in the MIBS. 2. Why did they all become 'unloaded' when we restarted OPManager? 3. How do I know
Extracting data
Is there away to extract the data stored by opmanager (i.e. the values of bandwidth utilization etc) for processing by other tools for example excel or MATLAB Thanks juntappu

Are all hosts that support syslog supported? For instance, can I point FreeBSD and m0n0wall machines to EventLogAnalyzer and have their logs analyzed and aggregated as well?
Alerts out-of-hours
Hi, Just wondering if it is possible to withhold alerts so that they are not sent during certain time periods during the day. For instance, we have setup applications manager to send an sms using an external script that's been uploaded to the server. However, for some machines we don't want to be receiving these sms's while we're asleep in bed at 3am in the morning. Is there a way to set app manager up like this? Thanks Derek

Notification emails sent to requesters/technicians
I hope something is being done to properly format the look of the emails being sent to requesters and technicians, as the information is badly misaligned and be presented much better. Or maybe you will give the admin the ability to customize how it will look and preview it in the application before saving. this is the one part of the system which makes it seem like shareware/freeware, but we all know it's a very good system despite this. Looking forward to improvements in this area in your next release!

Is there a configuration option to change where these files live? My tmp file system live on a partition less than one gig and fill rather quickly. NFA stops capurting flow when filled. Regards, Chuck

Hello, I am testing your Service desk system to see if it meets our requirements prior to purchase and am getting an error when i try to allocate a license. The screen print is attached, but what is happening is when i allocate a license to one PC, it goes in as 2 licenses to the same machine. any idea what's happening? Thanks, Staci

The Service Desk logo in the top right hand corner does not scale for a screen resolution above 1280x1024.

default page on startup

AD authentication -- Lost Admin
Hi, Just imported users from AD, it worked fine (after I checked the forum to find that we had to use the named server, not the IP). At the same time, I selected AD authentication. Now, I can't log in as admin! Help! :oops:

Hi, I've just installed the Netflow Analyser and i've seen that you are using a 'LOAD DATA INFILE ' request to import Netflow Data into the DB. During this period, my server has 100% load. the tmp file is around 20MB. Why are you importing the data doing this way and not by using SLQ INSERT command ? Is it possible to blank out the "License" option once the product is paid for? Nobody wants clients acccessing the portal page and viewing license information, or going into support forums for this software... that seems like it should only come up on the ADMIN account, and not the others. I hope to see this change in the next version, or a way to disable the links themselves. (currently evaluating Servicedesk) Alex
Linux build - Application Manager 6
I am trying to use the Free subscription of Application Manager 6 for Linux. During the installation it only asks me for a Port number and not the Server nae or Ip. Once up and running it always binds to localhost rather then the IP address of the box. I have tried manually to change the configuration file for Tomcat (server.xml) and Apache (httpd.conf) file to point to the IP of the server, but every time it reverts back to the localhost. Is there something I am missing, or the free version does

I am considering the purchase of several of your packages for monitoring and reporting network and system health. I am impressed with the information available and utility of the programs. However, I am finding that the programs are not reliable and the responses from technical support seem inappropriate. Inventory not being completed
For the last week or so we are trying to get the inventory to work, but unfortunately we haven't been able to do so. Csutom monitors
I am trying to monitor statistics for from CISCO CE560 ( caching engines ) and Nortel Load balancing switches. I tried adding the MIB but encountered an error. Does the MIB need to be in a specific format or can the mib downloaded from the CISCO site work without any modification. The mib is CISCO-CONTENT-ENGINE.MIB. With custom monitors I am able to monitor counters like totalhttprequests. However this is an ever increasing value and is not a five minute average. Can custom monitors subtract the
Data Export

Linux server not starting

Desktop Alarms
I have what I think is a daft question but I'm unsure of how to do it. I have generic alarms installed but I'd like to alter ones for desktops. My office is not open 24 hours and most people switch their desktops off at night. I'd like to stop monitoring desktops between say 18:00 and 07:00 so that I don't come in to a large amount of alarms as they are automatically generating ServiceDesk incidents thus causing me work which I don't need to do (as well as putting my stats out somewhat). unknown wireless connection
Just downloaded your program to try and find out where my computer is connecting to. Low wireless connection to someone else's router. I looked in my system and found two unknown MAC IP addresses...how do I use this program to trace these? It's probably a neighbor who has the same Linksys wireless router I just installed on my system. I would love to locate the source and let them know how they can secure their router better. No big deal really, I can disable it on my end, but it's a mystery to me
Trying to monitor Cisco PIX 501's and get mixed results
I have several remote locations using 501 firewalls. Some of them give me this error when OpManager trys to scan them: Trouble Oct 13,2005 11:21:15 AM AuthenticationFailure : null Please help me to fix. These were working for a while. I had to delete the network they were part of in OpManager and readd it. Since then, they won't show stats. John
Active Directory Account Lockout
Hi Support, I have a customer who are evaluating the product and they currently having a problem of Active Directory account lockout. This doesnt happen to specific ID. The issues is resolved when the stop the OpManager Services and when they restart the OpManager Services another set of users account will get locked. Please advice me on the above. thankx
