SEVERE: Inside SDPreProcessor error
We are trying to install SP10, and on the DOS screen shows "SEVERE: Inside SDPreProcessor error" at the beginning and the end of the install. SP10 then uninstalls. Anyone have this problem? Thanks.

Sooner Release for a Non-International Version
I, for one, am not interested in the International functionality of the product. I am only interested in the other improved and additional features. Attachment to solution
Hi I�m really new to this so I guess you can call this a newbie question. Is it possible to attach a file to a solution that you add? Lets say that you have a picture with a printscreen which explains the solution better then if you should write it down in a lot of text.. Then it would be perfect to add this picture to the solution. I think this would be a exellent feature (if it isn�t alreade in the ServiceDesk Plus) Regards //Anders

I thought about getting ServiceDesk and just treating customers as departments, but there's no way to log hours so that we can bill our clients. Compaq MIBs aren't importing properly
I keep getting this error when trying to load mibs to find out when a harddrive in a raid configuration fails. IMPORTS failed: Could not open file C:/Program Files/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/./mibs/CPQHOST-MIB I'm attaching the mibs I was trying to import. I'm particularly interested in cpqida.mib as this is the mib that has the monitor I'm looking for.
Installing on existing JBOSS
We would like to evaluate ServiceDeskPlus. My understanding so far is, that SD+ installation kit includes a full JBoss/Tomcat kit, however our server already has an installation of JBoss. Is there any special installation procedures to follow or a war file availabe to deploy it on our existing server?

I want to use Astaro5 and need to know how to configure the firewall. At the moment I was able to handle the export of the logs but they are not recognized by the Analyzer. Which logs must be sent to the analyzer to work.
Time out error
While using OpManager the admin user id keeps timing out and sending the screen back to the log on prompt? This is smoetimes happening while I'm working in the screens, other times when I go back to the screen from somewhere else? Thanks
Opmanager port still in use after a scheduled restart
I scheduled restart of my server where opmanager is installed every sunday. The monday, Opmanager doesn't start because the web port is still in use, it seems like when i restart my server, the port being used by opmanager is being locked. To solve this problem, each monday, i have to change the port so i can run opmanager any idea please ???

Monitoring ESP and IPComp traffic
Hi, I want to monitor ESP (IP Protocol no 50) and IPComp (IP Protocol no 108) traffic on my WAN Links. When I go for adding new applications I am getting these applications in the application list but it is asking for the port number again. These application are working only on layer 3, and they dont have any layer 4 port numbers. Even if I give L3 protocol numbers in the port number field I am not able to monitor the traffic. I think Netflow is not supporting monitoring of traffic at L3 level. Pl.

Hello: Is there any documentation for different properties used in Custom Graph that we can use? There as so many different properties like type, timeavg, $delta_time etc in custom graph that is being used in OpManager_GraphInfo.xml. Also, in type parameter there are like node, multiplenode, Interface, etc categories and many times we are not sure what to use when?? Only information we get is from forum posts. Can you backup opmanager while running?
Under the documentation, it states You can schedule backup at required interval using a cron job. Does this mean that I can just schedule backupdb.bat /sh to run every night and it will do a full backup?? Thanks, Mark

opmanager hung on windows 2003
Hi, I got a problem of running opmanager 5.6 free edition on windows 2003 server... the process was failed to start after installation, disappeared half way without any error message. I found one thread in this forum to say that I need to run a script to clear database entries, I did that, but still no use. In fact, I am just using the free edition, there is no auto discovery involved. Can anybody please tell me what else could go wrong? Thanks! Jiang

Incorrect traffic statistics
Hi, I just successfully installed NFA on my server, it works great, but I have a question. Why do I get different traffic statistic result for a host if I look between Device Group traffic and IP Group traffic? Is it because the collection for the traffic data of an IP Group started when I create the IP group without taking into account the previous collected traffic data? request limits
is there a way we can remove any of the default request items such as Priority and Category sections??? We find that almost every user places their item as a high priority and my boss wants to remove the option and let the techs decide the priority.

Hi. The quick create is a great idea. Our team utilizes this a lot. One thing that would help us is for automatic verification of a requestor. For example, typing in the last name of the requestor and on tab the name is filled in for us or we get a list of names to pick from (just like Outlook). Traffic In/Out 0% always
I see traffic 0% alway, Ihave cisco 4500 with netflow 5.0 What problem? I see my switch IP address, interface (snmp), received flow and "sh ip flow export" command it send to NetflowAnalyzer now.

Can't log in
I've installed Eventlog Analyzer and got it up and running to test before purchasing. Although, I can't log in after some time has passed. I can initially log in as admin and it works fine for a while. But after a few hours if I try again it hangs at the login page after typing in username and password. I have to reboot the server or restart the service to get back up and running. Please let me know what to do. Thanks, Neil
Restore
I'm planning to change my server and i'm doing some test before to transfer Service Desk and i'm using all of you procedure and it's work fine to do the backup, I have no error message but he creat a very small backup file, around 700k. And When I try to Restore on another machine test, the restore work fine but I have no Data and config on the new test machine. I really don't understand what i'm doing wrong ???? Error exporting to PDF
When I export from any of the availability reports to PDF, I get the header text but no graphs in the generated file. It works properly in other reports. I just recognized that these are the only reports where you are using pictures for the gauge bars. Could you resolve this please?
