Traffic Monitors working, but interfaces show N/A
On the snapshot page of one my servers, for example, I have 6 traffic monitors listed via SNMP. They are RX/TX errors, traffic, and utilization. I can click on any of them and see data and when I click on the test monitor button I get a green light.
At the bottom of the server snapshot page is an "interfaces" category but under the headings for RX/TX utilization, traffic, and errors they all say N/A.
Why is this? Another of my servers has the same Intel MT GB NIC and it has values under the RX/TX traffic colums on the snapshot page but also nothing under the utilization colum.
Not only do I want to know the amount of traffic passed both RX/TX on the NICs of my servers, but I also want to know the percentage. How can this be resolved?
Also, I need to be pointed to a good source of info concerning SNMP/OID (I'm new to it) specificially as it relates to Opmanager and how to configure it. I've read the manual but is there a how-to tutorial that could show a total SNMP/OID newbie how to setup a commonly used monitor, for instance?
