Add Notes
It would be really great if we could add attachments to notes on a requests. We tend to use the notes as on going update of the request. Sometime I need to pass information to the requester of the technician involved and this would be and ideal way of sending those details. Any chance you could add this to your evergrowing list... many thanks
How to scan child level OU in AD
Hi, My organization has forest level AD. In that we have tree with region name and OU with country name and then we have OU with unit level. But when I mention my regional level OU it only display the object belongs to it. It doesnot so the Child OU. When I try to scan by giving child OU it gives error. Ou domain scan fails with general failure error
When I try to scan computers from domain, I get general failure error in domain scan wizard. This error is present when I put domain controller name in settings page. Account is Administrator account with all rights. If I don't put DC name, I will get list of all computers without any problem, the domain wizard will not even start. Backup & Restore
Hi, I'm in evaluating the product for my organization, though application seems to be very mature and performance is too good. I've only concern if my machine get crash and as per provided tool , i've the backup ( Dat file), how can i use back the same old setting with my newly installed computer. v5. Summary Reports
For testing I had made 2 requests today. From me to me. Both have closed status. All reports from "summary reports" section shows ... nothing... Table view is correct. Rows is correst, columns is correct, but each data cell shows "-". All other reports works fine.
Dell PowerEdge MIB's
Hi Folks. We've been using opmanager for awhile and are having good results so far. Recently we have had some issues trying to get Dell MIBs to work. We create a custom monitor and it looks to us as though the Dell MIBs are "restricted" in terms of what we can check for. Any of the sections we really want to check (disk array failures, controller failures, etc) are not available when we drill down through the tree. Has anyone gotten this working with OpManager? effective load average monitor
I'm working on trying to get an effective Load Average monitor working in OpManager. I did email support but the answer they sent back indicated they didn't really read my questions. Here are the relevant entries from my conf files. My command line works. If I run this command line on a Linux hosts, it gives me back correct looking output. If I run this through OpManager, I get unexpected output and nothing gets graphed. The gist of this is I'm trying to come up with a metric based on Load Average
Wrong IF names/numbers with Opmanager 5.5
We are testing OPmanager 5.5 and notice that the interface-Numbers/Names are wrong. If Opmanager queries an Fortigate he never get the internal interface and mix up if-names and the coresponding ports. So you end up with an interface wan2 with is the port wan1 and so on. Scalability issues
Hi all, I am evaluating Netflow Analyzer and was wondering if you could help me with questions concerning an Analyzer setup for NFE devices of a larger company network. In particular, what do you recommend as maximum number of Netflow sources for one box (where the analyzer runs) and what specs should this machine have? In OUT Traffic issue
Hello, I am having a problem, i am using netflow analyzer v 4.0.2 and its been working smoothly for last couple of weeks, now the problem is that after restarting the server it is NOT showing any OUT traffic on my interfaces and currently its showing wrong incorrect traffic stats on my link, mean to say my internet link is utilizing 1.9 MB traffic while netflow IN Traffic is stuck to 500-600 kb and OUT traffic is 0 bps. PLease tell me what has happened? before it was showing proper stats and was

i have 6509 switches with MSFC and PFC, i want to export net-data to Netflow analyzer, do i have enable net-flow on both swaitch leve las well as MSFC level? Netflow analyzer is not getting correct interface names? it is giving like 10/100 utp ethernet (cat 3/5) for all interfaces, how can I identifie the interface?

Hi, We have the Netflow Analyzer running for a few days and are going to buy it if we can sort out the last problems that we get. For now it is the Problem with lost TCP and UDP Ports. As I could see from the documentation and other posts, the Button to see/change the Port Description ( if unknown ) disappears after 2 hours. But how can I change it after these hours? Thanks Chris

How do you you access the program from a workstation?
This is a silly question, but forgive me as I am not used to web based applications. I have installed the trial version and am extremely impressed with the product. So much so that we are purchasing it in the next week or so. My problem is that I have installed the application onto one of my Windows 2003 servers and it runs perfect on the server. If I try and access it from a workstation it gives me the login screen but then comes up with HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /homepage was requested I know
unable to view mysql tables
Hi, As i was thinking build another application using the data that resides in the current mysql database (which in my case is this path C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\mysql\data\) in SD+ I have been trying to view the tables inside but it always says fields not found.. anyone know where the data is stored?

Serial link utilization
Hi guys This is a question for the NFA guys and everyone else here please. I'm running NFA monitoring serial interfaces on my core routers, each hooked up to a 2Mbit pipe to an MPLS cloud. I'm intrigued by the concept of utilization here, as my links rarely get above 25% utilization. What confuses me is why, when I can send data to the router on the LAN at 100Mbit (or even any speed above 2Mbit/s), it doesn't hike up the throughput to 100% until my data has cleared the link before dropping back down
Exchange Info Store shows N/A Disk usage
I've seen similar problems on here but the recommended fixes havent worked for me. Whats happening is most of the monitors for the exchange addon work fine except for the Information Store, in particular interest to me is the Disk Space monitors. The disk space monitors say n/a. However, alot of the other features of the addon work. I tried running a command called wmiadap /f or something like that but still nothing.

Discovery is detecting Cisco 3550 catalysts as Cisco 3100 or 3200 systems. SNMP is enabled. The default device database does include 3550 mibs. What is the problem?

Create PO. Then Receive Items. Then click "Associated Assets" and delete any Assets from this PO. After that PO's filed "Received Quantity" the same as before. Another words, when I am deleting associated asset, its not decrease received qty. Bug or feature ?
Migrating ServiceDesk+ to a new server
Hi all. I need to move my copy of service desk from one server to another because we are currently buying shiny new servers and creating a new domain. I have tried installing the original setup file on the new server the overwriting the files with the old files from the old server and this didn't work. How can I delete a Product ?

Surveys sent out using internal IP and not public URL...
Hello there, I have set the public URL to "helpdesk.domain.com" but the surveys get sent out to dozens of outside requestors in the form of "192.168.0.XX" which means those on the outside of our LAN cannot submit their survey responses. Report- all request by department
I have changed some users from dept A to dept B. When I generate the report from the old requests, it is still showing as dept A. Is it a problem?

Import users from specific OU
Hi Could you clarify whether the option to import users from a specific OU in active directory imports just the users in the specified OU or if sub-OU's are included? Printers for service Desk
Would it be possible in a later release to have a part of the network scan/ domain scan to detect printers. Because we use our purchase system for ink cartridges we want to be able to assign the ink to a printer. The only way we can do this at the mo is by making a new workstation naming it a printer.
