Love the software - Quick user question/Suggestion
When a new user sends a request and they are not in the Requester list they automatically get added with their login as their email address. This is great except the password associated never gets sent to them. Can this be setup somehow?
exporting all workstations
Hello... is there a way to export the entire workstation list... and somehow have the Gateway IP address show so I can tell which branch the workstation is located in? Thanks!
Interface translation
Good time of a day. Can i translate SD+ interface in to different language? Mail customisation and international support - are great deals, but in my company English is not primary language and some users not understand how use SD+. Bug ? Amending a task
From the home page if someone goes in and amends an existing taks they can change the text, but when they save the box goes blank and nothing happens. Damian
SD+ does not allow anyone to login
SD+ up and running for two weeks. Performed AD import and turned on integration. Everything working OK. Tried to login to day and receive error when using the admin login: Username or Password Incorrect Also receive the same error when trying to login using my AD login name and password. Is there any way to backdoor the application to "reset" the security? Thanks Matt Jackson, WY

Add new Vendor, then press "View List" and press "Add new Vendor". In this case system will return you to edit mode for last edited vendor.
HP Laserjet MIB
Tyring to load a MIB into the tool but it errors telling me that it can't Parse the MIB. I'll attach it here with a .txt extension. I would like to simply be able to use SNMP to see the device status.
SD5 Can't Import Computers from windows domain
When I try to scan our windows 2003 domain all i get is the default containers I can not see any of our OUs and hence can't import any of the PC in the domain. I have the same issue importing users from the AD. Any Ideas? David
Internationalization?
How exactly does te internationalization work? We expected we would be able to translate menu's and so on into our native language (Dutch)? Is this possible or did we misunderstand?
SD5 - Trial unable to start on SUSE Linux server
Whenever I try and start I get a MYSQL Failed to start. I have amended the ports from 33366 to 33333 in the startDB, stopDB abd mysql xml file as per a previous post. v.5. Yet another Technician problem
Editing technitian details. When I check on "Enable Login for this Technician" checkbox, roles shows bottom at the screen and after 0.5 seconds all blinks once and refreshes, but with blank configuration screen. Only this signs presents: Users - Technicians Technician List [ Add New Technician ] That's all. :)
Custom logo
Hi! I try to change logo's. But then I load my logo's (on Settings page) and choose this logo's - logon page logo changed, but in header still standart logo. I try to view it on few computers, try to clean browser cache. Can U help me resolve this bug?
Domain scanning in a Linux environment

inserting attachments to assets and resolutions/notes
Is there a way to attach files to assets (for example a picture of the asset... or documentation). Also, after someone sends in a request, is there a way for the technician to attach a file to it (either in the notes or resolution parts of the request). Sorry for all these questions, but they'd really help us out.

AD Intgegration fails
Unable to import users from AD. Unable to switch to use AD authentication. Import window Pop-up shows and main screen reverts to another config setting in the setup process and error message is displayed saying AD import fails. Problem didn't exist when initially installing to test server. Test server is no more, invoking fresh install on new server. Admin account in domain is present. Admin account was used from test version with no issues.
domain scan settings
Both the local and the remote domains seem to be failing. With version 4 after some fighting with firewall settings and domain policies we had managed to get the scan to work. Now with version 5 the domain scan is failing again, with the same error. I scanned our local domain and it came up with the domain listing and containers to scan. The scan returned only the servers (2) and gave an error on the work stations (the "computer may be turned off..." error). Scanning a domain outside the local subnet
HSRP Cisco
Just configured my 2 Ciscos for HSRP and Netflow Analyzer has thrown a wobbly. It sees the 2 "real" Ciscos and the "virtual" one, but reports no stats on the "virtual" one - which is the one I am interested in. Any ideas? Thanks - Adrian.
Escalation Email Rules & Email Profiles on LINUX
I've recently installed OpManager 5.6 on a Red Hat 9.0 server. I've encountered issues with Notifications & Escalations. I've created several Email Profile for Notifications but when I go back to edit any one of them, the screen just says "Error!" instead of showing the form to edit a profile. ALso when I attempt to edit an Alarm Escalation Rule, the browser reports that runtime error has occurred in line 1539 with the error: Object expected. I had one of my techs install the netflow software to a new box recently. It seems to be working fine except we have to reboot the box every 24 hours because the service keeps shutting down. The event log shows the following message... "There may be a configuration problem: please check the logs.". I also get a message that the service tried to restart 5 times unsuccessfully. Which log should I be looking at and should I sent a copy your way? Thank You, Joe
Traffic not counted?
Hello, I'm evaluating the Linux version of Netflow Analyzer. I noticed that on every SOURCE OUT report i do, it appears to be some traffic not assigned to an ip. I'll explain: we have +/- 80 ips, belonging to servers. All of them pass by a Cisco 7204 router, the one which exports netflow data. As you can see in the attached image (it's a 30 minute period report), there is a list of ips and its out traffic. The first one 278.2MB which represents 12% of all out traffic, etc... All OK, but in the end
No stats after a few hours
We are currently evaluating Netflow Analyzer 4 to make sure it will properly work in our environment. Although the problem we are seeing is that after about 2 hours there is no new netflow data being processed. It is still running and we are able to access the webpage but all the latest stats are at zero. I'm thinking now that it simply can't handle the load. We are exporting netflow data from 4 Cisco GSR's totaling about 450Mb traffic combined. The spec's for the hardware are below. I would assume

Can we use the manageengine to send alerts to mobile or email the alerts if something goes wrong with the server like server is running out of space or some device is not responding. I am trialing the software as I downloaded it today.

Hi, Appreciate that there's an online demo to evaluate the features but when will v5 be made available for download please? The previous postings indicated it would be by 15th but instead an online demo was put up? Disabling Auto Discover
Hi I have done a subnet discovery, and kept the devices i want, and removed the ones i dont want (eg deleted the desktops, i dont want to manage these with OM). Is there a way to turn off automatic rediscovery - the maximum value is 15 days, I dont want the deleted devices re-appearing Deleting the subnet from discovery settings deletes all nodes in that subnet, so that wont work THanks Dave

Create Multiple Hard Drive Monitors?
Lets say I have two servers. The one is a fileserver, the other is a web server. The fileserver quickly adds files b/c people are constantly uploading files to it. The second doesn't. I can let the web server sit until it is 90% full before I have to even begin thinking about another array, but the fileserver I need to know about when it hits 75%. How do I create it so that both are tracked and not just one? Right now I have the WMI monitor set at 90%, but I also need it to be set at 75% for some

Duplicate name in Partition Details of the Device (%) monito
Hello, I have a problem with this monitor. In my IBM AS/400 server I have implemented a IASP. x disk configured in my ASP and x disk in my IASP. The problem is, when i would add Partition Details of the Device (%) monitor, i have multi choices (partition) but ASP partition is named ASP and IASP partition is named ASP. If i check 2 ASP, I can see only 1. I delete and i can see the second. If i add 1 and after i want to add the second, I have this error that monitor already exist.
Daily system problems with Analyzer and OpManager
We have been 'attempting' to run EventLog Analyzer and OpManager on the same server. We have followed ALL the instructions in regards to the ports, system configurations, etc. Every morning we go to login to EventLog Analyzer - put in username/password. Error comes up: "Invalid loginname/password". 50% of the time, OpManager is down. We've also checked for ntsql-nt.exe and SysEvtCol.exe. What do we need to do to make sure we can login to EventLogAnalyzer, and not have to REBOOT every morning?

Moving to AD auth and back again
If we start to use AD auth after using SD+ auth, does SD+ retain the users passwords should we later return to SD+ auth, or does it loose them. Also, the SD+ "admin" user is not connected to the administrator account in AD - which user account does the SD+ "admin" user relate to in AD? Thanks.
Feature request : Survey url in rquest
I was talking to my Manager about the way the user survey works and he did not like it, I think because we do not want to send autoamted emails to our end users about stuff that they might not be interested, in as it will irritate some of them. We would like to have the option to embed the survey url in the request so that when the user looks at his completed or ongoing requests he can choose to fill in the survey or not for each individual request. Is this attractive to anyone else ? John Belshaw

Hi, are there any plans to incorporate several of your softwares into one single interface/database? For example; Service desk plus, OpManager and PatchQuest. This would be a neat feature as jumping from one page to the other makes it quite tedious to get full information on systems. Thanks again.
Bug with new user account?
Hi, When I try to create a new user account with a password length > 10 characters, the user is not added to the system and there is no error message. When I create a new user account with a password length <= 10 characters, the user is added to the system. When I change the password of this user with a password > 10 characters, it works without any problem and I'm able to log to the system using this new password. I'm using build 4020. Regards,

Hi, could you just tell me if the demo version currently running, is a true reflection of the new release? I ask because i have been desperately awaiting this release for the ability to do proper audit reports for hardware and software (using the custom reports module), and although i see there is the ability to create custom reports, only a limited amount of data is selectable in the module (no software, no detailed hardware etc) Thanks

All, we have a need to change the IP address of the backend NetFlow server itself. Aside from having to change the export IP address on the respective routers we manage, and changing the IP address of the server, what do I need to do for the NetFlow application on the server itself so it continues to operate for us?
