Hot fix to SP 13
Hi all,
Few customers have been facing issues in starting the server after migrating SD+ 4.0 installation to SD+ 5.0 using the Service Pack 13 ( Service Pack 13 was released last night ). A hot fix has been released for this. Read the instructions and the note carefully.
Note: Users who have downloaded the Service Pack already and applied the same on existing SD+ 4.0 installation are eligible to download this hot fix. Another Service pack integrating this hot fix will be released in a day ( for which a separate notification will be available ).
Follow the procedure mentioned below:
1. After applying the SP 13 successfully ( You should get a stamp saying "Installed Successfully". If not, contact support at servicedeskplus dot com ), try starting SD+ from the command prompt as in
cmd> cd [ServiceDesk-Home]\bin
cmd> run.bat
If all modules are created and started, then the upgrade went on smoothly without any issues. You need not proceed further.
If "AdventNetServiceDesk" fails, proceed to 2.
2. If "AdventNetServiceDesk" is the only module which fails, then download the attached txt file and save it as sp_13_hot_fix.bat under [ServiceDesk-Home]\bin folder.
Execute the sp_13_hot_fix.bat file under bin folder from the command prompt. This may take a while to fix the errors.
3. Now start SD+ from the command prompt. If all the modules are created and started, then the hot fix has made wonders and things are working fine. You can stop the server from the command prompt and start it as a service.
4. If any other module other than "AdventNetServiceDesk" fails or even after applying the hot fix, the module fails, then contact us at support at servicedeskplus dot com.
[ If you use a different mysql user and port, you can edit this txt file to reflect the same ]
