Monitoring uses a large amount of CPU on client
Hi, I am currently evaluation the product and have an issue with the amount of CPU usage required on the target domain controllers. Ever since we installed OpManager we have been getting frequent alarms due to the processor queue length thresholds being broken; currently set as the default of 7. Further investigation has led me to conclude that these alarms are occurring when OpManager is polling the domain controllers. OpManager seems to utilising 100% of the CPU for about 5 minutes every 15-20
Manditory Fields
I have a few small things that I would like to see: 1) A way when creating a ticket to be able to make assigning a technician manditory, this way when I run the Technician report there won't be any unassigned except for the tickets that truely haven't been looked at yet. 2) To group specific technician's in a specific levels. SD+ Spanish Version
I have a re-branded version of SD+ and we are currently looking to expand our services to some Spanish speaking clients. I noticed that SD+ can run with different languages. I do not see the option for languages under the personalize tab. Do I need to look somewhere else or do I need to install something. I am fully updated with 5501. Paul

Hi, I need a report created that I want to run at the end of each month for my clients. Is there anyone at Advent who fancies quoting me on creating a custom report for me ? It's not massively difficult, but I think the upcoming report generator wont be able to help me. Basically, I want a page per company (not per contact). Fields needed for custom reports
Can you please add the following fields to the custom report section. Account and Time spent We really really need these to do our reports for our clients. We need to be able to find out how much time was spent in each category grouped by the account. So if abc company had 3 hr in Workstation and 4 hr in server support we need to be able to export this info for them. Thanks Rick
Device Discover - after which I cannot add that device
Help! I deleted Cisco2948G switch originally added as CatOS - 4500 I then tried to do a discovery. Nothing showed up. Now, when I try to add that device, I get device add failed. i don't see the device and I can't add or delete them. Any ideas?

Running NFA 5 and other Java/MySQL applications
Dear tech. support friends, With reference to your product, I'd like to let you know that I am currently evaluating it. I have found an issue that my affect my customer's acceptance regarding NFA 5. Now at this time I�ve been testing it over Microsoft Windows Platform. They have a few Juniper WX-20 (formely known as Peribit SR-20) devices that are able to export NetFlow data to a system such as the NFA 5. This Juniper/Peribit solution is managed by a software named "CMS", which uses MySQL and Java.

Swedish characters in reports
When I run a report and there is swedish characters in the report they are all mixed up. ie. Lannér Sjöberg instead of Lann�r Sj�berg Is this a known problem and if so, when will it be fixed. Now when we can generate excellent reports it would be nice if they were readable to. Regards Stefan

Slow reporting
I am evaluating NetFlow Analyzer (trying both 5.0 and 5.5EA) and currently have it setup to collect netflow information from a 1 gigabit interface which has constant flow of 200-350Mbps (anywhere from 2000 to 3000 flows per sec). This running on a Dual P4 3.2GHz with 2GB RAM. I have made the suggested tweaks to increase the memory alloted to MySQL: --key_buffer_size=720000000 --innodb_buffer_pool_size=848000000. Netflow Analyzer 5 service does not start
Hi, I have Windows 2003 Server R2 Build 3790 with latest patches. I downloaded evaluation version of Netflow Analyzer 5 (today). The installation has no problem, but when trying to start Netflow Analyzer service, the progress bar comes about to 17%, and disappears. Also the tray icon disappears as well. When I check services, I see the service is not running. I try to start it manually, but same thing happens. It waits for 17% and disappears, and service status is "stopped". http://localhost:8080

question about authentication in OpManager
Hello, We are continuing with our tests with OpManager which satisfy us. I would like to know if it's possible to connect to OpManager via Active Directory or LDAP like in HP Sim for instance. We would like to give to some people an access which is not defined in the OpManager database. The user has its local account DomainName\UserName and personalPassword and we would like that several specific persones access to OpManager with their own account. How can we do that please? Access right
I don't want the technicians to access the Contract and purchasing part. But if I create a new role with full access on Request and solutions, they cannot update the due date or see the report. How can I have techinicians both being able to fully update all fields from a request and see the reports ? Thank you Loic
Assign Web Server to a single IP address
How do I assign the webserver to a single IP address instead of all IPs on the server? I'm running win2003 with several sites and need to maintain port 80 on those servers as well as port 80 on the SupportCenter website.
Request form customiser for technicians view

Tomcat data retrieval
"Error while collecting data from Tomcat Server" this is the message i am getting on the Tomcat monitors. There are 3 tomcats on a SuSE linux box. The monitor box is polling through a firewall and the port is open for it. Data can be viewed when you click on the "historical Button" on the screen but nothing shows on the main monitor screen. john.

NO DATA IN REPORTS
WE ARE EVALUATING EVENTLOG. ALTHOUGH IT DOES CAPTURE DATA AS EXPECTED WE FIND THAT THE REPORTS WE SET UP HAVE NO DATA IN THEM. WE RECEIVE THE REPORTS BUT THEY ARE BLANK. I HAVE SET THE EVENTLOG LOGIN AS AN ADMINISTRATOR ON THE SYTEM AND HAVE TRIED BOTH CUSTOM REPORTS AND THE DEFAULT REPORTS. WE ARE MONITORING SERVER2003. ANY IDEAS? THANKS WILLIAM
Due Date
We are testign Support Center Plus and we are facing a problem with the Due date. We cannot change the due date on a request even if we are logged on as administrator. This represents a big problem to our test as we need to ajust dates according to the request progress. Is it our problem or a known issue. We are using build 5021
