OPEN API

My developers are asking me if applications manager has an open API? Why I love applications manager and have been selling the company on it since I implimented over a year ago, they state it doesn't meet all our needs in the area's of reporting . The hope is that with an open API they will be able to enhance some area's of the application to meet our needs rather then outsource our monitoring to managed datacenter. We are develpoment company of over 200 and have over 150 servers hosting are web application . . . applications manager has met most of are needs but i fear that we will outsource over the lack of reporting and some reall indepth application monitors and reports on sql server. . . .
