Inactive user Reporting not accurate
We are reviewing your product to see if it will solve our Reporting and Auditing requirements. A couple questions I have are as follows: I've have specified all 14 of our domain controllers and ran an inactive user report for accounts that are Enabled but not active for more then 30 days on our Domain. However, the report pulls both Enabled and Disabled accounts while I need to specify only Enabled. The 'QuickSearch' feature appears to resolve this. Error Loading Adtran MIBs

Not getting any port information at all
I am testing the trial verison of Oputils 3.2 with service pack 2. When i start the probe nothing is returned, no port information, no mac addresses. We have a Cisco 3570 switch stack, and are able to run other snmp utilities with our community string. Out community string is a complex alpha numeric and special characters, are there any limitations with passwords? What esle could i be missing. Any help would be great Brandon

Hi I understand that attachments can only be added to requests while doing a reply. Sometimes we want to add an attachment to the request without creating an email. Perhaps add attachment could be added to the "add notes" feature? al.
NBAR
Hi, I have disabled NBAR on one of the router interfaces however 2 days later the dashboard is still showing the NBAR icon next to the interface. Is that normal. Thanks, Ramzi
Dash board open view
I would like our NFA to open always in a "Show all" view in the dash board view. What setting is their that when our network team logs into NFA that they will always see all routers opened? Instead of clicking on the router and then it expanding the view. Thanks Marcus

Exporting Data - Dates
I am trying to export data from SupportDesk - workorder table into MS SQLServer, which I am able to do using EMS SQL Manager 2005. The issue is that dates are stored as BigInt(20), and I want them imported into SQL Server as DateTime. I have discovered that the BigInt value is the number of milliseconds since 1/1/1970, so it would be possible to convert the number to DateTime in Excel (BigIntValue/24/60/60/1000 +25569). eg 1156413318536 is equal to 24/08/2006 09:55:19 Is there a simpler way to Export
status of AD import or network scan?
If I do an AD import or manual network scan, there is a status window that appears and I can watch how many have failed, and how complete the process is. However, is there a way to check on the status of those if I close either of those windows, or wish to check on the status of a scheduled network scan??
disturbing news?
I just found out from support that they are using Mozilla Firefox for their in house browser. This is fine and Mozilla is a great browser but what I found disturbing is that the Service Desk Team does not seem to be testing their product with Internet Explorer. We called with an issue concerning the email forwarding and they determined the issue was being caused by incompatibility with Internet Explorer. Huh? after a clean install of application manager 7.0.1 with no monitors added yet i recieve a couple of erros in the logs . . . . monitor batch job
we have a batch job that monitors an application for errors - the batch job checks for the existence of a file and if the file exists then there is an error in the application. Can opmanager somehow be setup to monitor this or run the batch file and be alerted if the conditions are true?
redirection of the traps in OpManager
Hi all, I have a question about the configuration of OpManager. We would like to use OpManager with another product and in fact, we want to redirect the traps in this other software. Is there a way to see the traps in OpManager in the Alarm section and also redirect all these traps to see them in another Network Management System? Thank you for your responses. regards L.
Notifications associated to devices
newbie questions, I guess: 1) How can I view which notfications are associated with whcih devices? 2) can I associate a notification with multiple device types (for instance 'all routers' and 'all servers'), or do I need to create a notification for each device type, if I want 'all'?

Polling does not work after changing polling interval
Hi, When adding resource monitor snmp Partition Details of the Device (%) to my server and changing the polling interval to 5 minutes, it doesn't seem to poll the disk. It will give me the correct percentage immediately after adding the monitor, after that no values are added. Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance
monitor Process or monitor Port of Process, which better???
hi, i just want to monitor the process of windows eg. svchost.exe TCP Port135, i used to monitor this process by using other sw. it allow us to choose the monitored service from the process list retrieved from that server. for OpManager, it work in another way, by specifying TCP port number. i don't know which method is better. Sometime process may error but port 135 still open. So we'll get alert from Opmanager or not in this case. do u have any recommendations? :oops:

Business View Icons
hi, We have a cool map setup with sites and servers and icons that change from green to orange when links are slow to red when links are down. I want my icons to flash though rather than just change colour. Is that possible. It looks like OpManager using png images and what I need is gif images so animation can be used. thanks, Lerwick

Just a few queries on the latest version: When creating Helpdesk Users, theres a maximum of 2 on the free version. Is this restricted on the full version and if so, what is the maximum? When logging in with an Active Directory account, when completing changes in ADManager Plus, does it use the credentials of the user authenticating to the web page or the credentials used for the application? Finally, I want to create a user template that uses the Firstname initial and Surname. Is this possible? Thanks.
Contract field length
When assigning contracts to available assets, if the names are long you are unable to read the whole name. Also, if you accidentally assign an asset to two or more contracts it would be nice to get a warning stating that the chosen asset has already been assigned to a contract...would you like to proceed...yes or no..

Device not responding after successfull discovering
Hi, I'm trying out the free edition of OpManager 6.0 Build 6003. I need some help with a device being reported after some time as "device down", but the discovering of the device is successfull and the polling and for example, the interface statistic is successfull and correct. Event log problems.
I am reciving event log from one of the probes, this probe are located on the same Nettwork as the Central server. But the other probe that comunicates with sentral server over the internet I can't recive any event log's? WMI are functioning (Windows Services and Exchange). Are there some simple explanation for this ? For testing purpose I activate a new Probe at my House and configuret it to retrive Event logs from my server, but no luck. I can WMI Services / Exchange but Event log does not function.
Bug in Buld Config, updating username and password
There seems to be a bug in the latest version of App Manager. When I update my Windows monitors to select all of them and "Update Username/Password" which a domainname\account, the system parses it incorrectly, removing the slash and making the name invalid. Example changing the username to ECHO\Administrator ends up changing every Windows monitor to authenticate as ECHOAdministrator. I had to manually go and fix every Windows monitor! rgranard
Business View For URL`s
Hi, Can you advise, is it possible to have the URL`s we monitor, in a business view. The reason we requre this is so if a User that does not have admin rights logs into OPmanager they can see the URL status. At present i dont belive you can assign them access to URL`s only business views. thanks

Run audits locally
It's somewhat inconvenient to only be able to run audit scans remotely from the web console. That method can be interrupted by many things, such as firewalls. I would like to see a feature where audits can be initiated from an end-user's PC, and it would be nice for that feature to be scriptable so it can be tied into a login process.
User details when creating a ticket
I would like the ability to edit the user properties (email address, phone, etc) from the New Request page. Example: When I start typing a username it autofills with the full name and pertaining information (that is really cool by-the-way), but sometimes it just gives the name without the email address, etc., and then I know that I have not filled in the proper information for that user. My Firewall Analyzer is connected to a Checkpoint Firewall using LEA. It is reporting News traffic, however when I look at this it is actually a server connecting to a Internet NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.

I try to install Opmanager on Linux. But I can't find installMySQL.sh which are mentioned in Install Guide of Opmanager and MySql can't start. Where is this shell script? or I need to install Mysql before I install Opmanager?
Feature Request: Creating Contacts
Hello - I don't see a "feature request" forum like the one that ServiceDesk has, so I'm posting here. I would love to see a feature in a new version where the full contact information for a new contact can be assigned when a contact is created at the same time that a request is created. In the current release, contacts can be added, but then you have to go back into the contacts screen to add them to an account. Thanks!

Helpdesk - Notification Rules customize template error
We attempted to customize the notification template to our users 'Request Complete' template. Did nothing but change the text - did not even insert html.
